"Sir...you don't know how big this is for us...with you here…we know it's a new era"Brice, the wonder of the newly built mall said to Victor seated in his chair gracefully like a boss he was. Brice was a little agitated and anxious being graced with Victor's presence that he didn't want anything to go wrong. He wanted his business to be a success and having Ellison bank at his mall was good for business. Everyone knew Victor Ellison was a great business.
He didn't shy away from engaging himself in multiple things. He owned their family hospital. The largest private hospital in the city. He owned a bank that had been in the family for years. If anyone doubted Victor then they haven't seen his growing factory. Everything he touched turned into a hold and Brice was happy to have him however Victor didn't care what others thought as he let his managing director speak for him as well as the bank's newly appointed vice president. He was just there to seal the deal by signing while the rest had to work out on its own.
"Don't give me a reason to regret this"Victor spoke after Brice said all the things he had to say to butter up Victor and get in his good books. But Victor was a shrewd businessman. He knew how to handle people around him and he was aware of what most men did just to gain something and him investing in something he had to be careful with the bitter words coated in candy and looking up at the man before him.
Victor's expression was as cold as ever because he could read Brice's thoughts but even so, he stayed quiet as the signing of the deal went on. He was already bored and just wanted to go home. Looking to the sides he cod see people going up and down the escalator since the office, they were in had glass walls which made him and everyone see what was going on out there
"Mr. Ellison you don't have to…"Brice started saying but stopped when the door flew open, not what he was expecting and one of his men rushed in. Victor narrowed his eyes not caring what was happening and the man who rushed in went straight to Brice after apologizing to Victor who ignored the man completely
"What!" a loud exclamation came from Brice as he rose to his feet. He looked disturbed that Victor dropped his arrogance and looked at Brice with vivid eyes
"Did you call for the ambulance?"Bruce whispered to his security guard who gave him the worst news he could ever receive at such a time but Victor heard everything that was said. The security man nodded
"We did...but the traffic is too much...and the lady doesn't have anyone with her other than a lady with zero expe about pregnant women," the security man said running his hands in his hair and Brice was agitated as he paced a little but then stopped when he realized his predicament and Victor who was now standing to the sides
"What's the situation?"Victor asked as he started taking off his coat, Brice was shocked at what was happening but decided to state his problem
"The elevator to the East is stuck...a young lady...and a pregnant lady is in there and she's in labor...my team is working on getting it to move unfortunately there is a problem...we don't have any qualified doctors in the building and the lady is in pain "Brice finished not sure why this was happening to him on such a big day.
Now Victor was likely to think their building was bad for business but what he got from Victor shocked him and his men but nothing new to Victor's men, for they knew what their boss was capable of
"Jason, get my kit from the car...Brice, show me where the lady is, ''Victor said as he tossed his coat away, loosened his tie until it was away from his neck, and folded his shirt sleeves to his elbows.
The man he called Jason was already out the door while Brice was not sure what was happening but he regained his wits and proceeded to show Victor where the elevator was. Victor knew when to lend a hand when needed he just couldn't help it.
