"I got this...I don't need your help!"Monica lashed out and pushed Cassy away. Cassy stumbled back but came forward and tried to keep Monica away. I sat there not sure why they were fighting over something so little. It had been two weeks and finally, I got out of the hospital.

Monica and Cassy clashed when they came to get me. Cassy didn't want Monica to touch me saying she was bitter and Monica said Cassy had no say in anything because she was just an outsider. I was helpless, not sure who to defend

"You are a mean witch…Victor should kick you out of here!"Cassy growled out and came forward and to my bed

"You are nothing but a pathetic loser...I don't even know which hole you crawled out from..you have no class whatsoever" Monica said disdainfully and moved aside. She looked angry, and so did Casey. The two women were at each other's throat which made me worry

"That's enough...she just got out of the hospital...stop fighting already"the door to my bedroom opened and Leo, together with Kyan, walked in. He was the one who was driving the car. Victor was there not like I cared but he rarely visited me at the hospital and I was happy because, after that weird conversation, I didn't even want to see him

"Get her out Leo...why is she here?"Monica said, turning to Leo. Both Cassy and Monica had an attitude. They both thought they were beautiful and no woman could compare to them. It was fun to see Monica angry especially when someone par to her existed

"Calm down...if you two want to argue...go outside…my little princess just got out"Leo said with a smile and sat on the bed while it's rolled his eyes and left the room

"Fine," Monica said with a scoff and walked out. Cassy rolled her eyes in annoyance and turned to me.

"Don't worry sweetie...I'm here to take care of you" she said caressing my cheeks but even so. I felt weird. Everything was strange, especially with Victor. He was making me think more than I was supposed to. Our encounter was beautiful and thinking about his arms...his lips, his husky voice, it was deep and so masculine. I was a fool to fantasize about Victor but I couldn't help it. His scent was intoxicating. His hair, his beard. His gentleness was warm and lovely. I just loved it all

I didn't know how I was going to handle my feelings for nine months without telling him how I felt

"So what do you think?"Both Cassy and Leo asked me at the same time, staring at me with smiles on their faces. I looked at them all confused

"What?"I asked not sure if I heard anything they said, and yes I heard nothing and it was all because of Victor

"You weren't listening...I see"Leo remarked with chuckles and Cassy laughed too. Both of them glanced at each other and laughed. I was perplexed, not sure what to say. I just sat there frowning at them as they laughed at me

"Very soon sweetie...I'm sensing the love in the air...it smells... wonderful"Leo said in between laughter and high-fived Casey. It was weird how the two were acting like their best, and it was getting on my nerves

"So...you look fine...is everything okay"Cassy stopped laughing and said I'm mediately Leo left Leo alone. I nodded

"He wants to know my family... Cassy...do I know who they are?"I whispered fiddling with my hands. Whenever anyone asked about my family I didn't know what to tell them. I had no family, I had no idea who my real parents were. I was born alone with no identity

"It's okay sweetie...you have me...I'm sure Victor is concerned about you...he's a nice guy"Cassy murmured and rubbed my shoulder. She understood me better than anyone else. She wasn't my family yet she was like a sister to me

"Do...do you like him?"Cassy asked and my eyes lifted to look at her. She had a serious expression on that I knew too well

"Yes...he's different Cassy...I've never felt this safe with anyone else...I'm feeling strange but I can't feel this...he...he won't reciprocate"it was the bitter truth and too early for me. I wasn't this careless with my emotions but meeting Victor. He broke all the walls I built around myself

"He's a fool to miss such an opportunity... any man will be lucky to have you," Cassy said with a smile and pulled me in here. I chuckled knowing I didn't have to hide anything from her. It was better to tell someone how I felt than to keep it to myself

**4 months later**

"Is this better?"

"No...it hurts...can you...okay just let it be?"I said, shoving the lady's hands away from my legs. I looked down lifting the long skirt I was wearing and just wanted to cry. My legs were swollen like an elephant's legs. And the two nurses who came to give me some massage therapy were hurting me

"Ms….sir asked us to make sure you are okay...please let us..." one of them named Griselda said lowering down to hold my feet but I moved them aside.

"No...no it's okay I'm fine now," I said as I shifted away from them. I was now four months pregnant, I didn't know it got worse as months went by but this was weird. My stomach was showing a little. According to doctor Maverick and doctor Justin words. The baby was more like the size of an avocado

It was funny but for the past four months, I have been taking extra care of myself. I ate healthily and went on strolls with the help of Julia. Did so many mischievous things behind Victor's back like the time Kyan and I sneaked out to go to the movies. Victor had gone on a business trip hence we took the full opportunity to have fun since he was a total dictator. Even Monica was tired of being controlled especially yelled out whenever I wasn't properly taken care of

"It's okay ladies...Ms. Payton is fine...I think she's used to different hands massaging her"it was doctor Maverick who walked in and said with a chuckle. I frowned knowing he was busy teasing me

"I see...then we'll take our leave...have a nice day Ms," the two nurses said with grins giggling to themselves as they gathered their things and left the room. Unlike my usual room where they examined me each time I came. Maverick took me to the therapist's room

"How are you doc?"I asked and tried to move my legs. I felt a little sore but I cod stand just fine

"I'm okay and well...you seem to be doing fine yourself," he said as he pulled out a chair and sat down. I smiled and looked down at my hands. Four months felt like years. I was starting to feel something moving in my belly. The first time it happened.

I was so scared that I shouted in the middle of the night and everyone including Victor rushed to my room scared. Unfortunately, when they found out I was just feeling the movements of the baby. Monica made sarcastic remarks while Kyan was happy. Victor didn't say anything but I could see how happy he looked through his eyes

"So now..the driver is here... Monica didn't make it but are you okay going back alone or do you want me to call in someone to take you?" the doctor asked, looking at me but I was fine alone. Victor was at the office plus I planned to go there

"Dr Maverick it's okay...I'll go since the driver is here,'' I said and tried to get up. The doctor rushed to my aid and I smiled as I balanced on my feet. and fixed the loose dress I was wearing. According to Monica, it was best I wore dresses as months went on l. I wasn't so used to wearing long things but now I was getting used to it

"Have a nice day" doctor Maverick said as soon as I settled in the car and he handed me my purse

It was in the afternoon. I came for checkups in the morning like I usually did. Most times Cassy came with me but she was busy with her new work as Leo's assistant. It was odd how Leo gave her a job but I was happy

"Let's go...kindly take me to Mr. Ellison's office"I tried Bobby, my driver and he started the car. I glanced to my side and I had a blue file with me. Victor forgot it so I was taking it to him and other than that, I thought of giving him lunch. I think he never ate any since he was so busy working so I decided to take something for him. I looked at my phone screen and felt my face.

Cassy was right. I've started gaining weight. I decided to style my hair down which never happened but I felt like it and now I was anxious to go to Victor's company. He'd be surprised but I smiled knowing I wanted this.
