It was a good morning for some, Alexis had a new secret mission that had Maverick's name written all over and while Maverick was busy contemplating on whether to tell the lady who he was, Cassy had just arrived at work and like most times everything was new. It was a new building for their offices and despite how familiar she was with London. Some things made her uncomfortable and after arriving on time. She was called by her boss and now standing before two people who owned the place Cassy waited for them to finish giving out issues
"Sweetheart this is important...I want nothing to go wrong alright"Ms. Clementina said, tapping her fingers on the desk repeatedly. She had been saying the same things for a couple of hours and Cassy was tired of standing. She needed to get to work and as much as her boss was giving her work that wasn't in her specialized field. She didn't want to take it. Her sharp cat-like eyes behind those specs gave her a frightening bossy aura
"Cassy you need to focus...this man is a hot shot...well known across the world...if we manage to let him be our top model then... we'll become famous...our agency will be flooding with clients"this time Clementina's son said. the spoiled man who thought the world revolves around him. We didn't get along but I hated that he followed us here. He was better off in France
"Tomas is right...be careful with him...make sure you give him a warm welcome," the lady said agreeing with his son.. of all men I disliked a man like Tomas. He was so full of himself and treated workers like slaves
"Yes, I promise not to disappoint you," Cassy said with a low bow knowing she had no choice but to do as they said. The job sheet had given her enough for her child. She worked for her child and no one else which was why she was willing to tolerate anyone to such an extent
"Fine, you two handle this...I have some clients to see"Clementina said as she got up from the chair and grabbed her purse… she was the true definition of a boss from her hourglass body to her blonde hair. No wonder she owned a modeling agency. She was beautiful despite her age but we called her lady Tina, it was her nickname. Cassy waited for Tina to leave and only then did she decide to head to her office to see if she had some work pending
"This is not a circus... my mom only tolerates you because she feels sorry for you and that bastard son of yours…"Tomas said disdainfully as he walked around from the table..he was a bitter man and this started back in pairs. The man thought just because he was handsome with flawless skin and a hot body any woman would volunteer to warm his bed. He tricked most models and slept with them if they wanted favors but Cassy was a different case
"Look here, Tomas...I won't tolerate you degrading my son...you have no right to insult me...you better watch your tongue"Cassy lashed out hating the existence of Tomas.
"Oh please spare me this arrogance...don't act like a saint when...you go around fucking men for a comfortable life…"Tomas said with an evil smirk as he walked close to me. Cassy didn't say a word but watched him run his mouth anyhow "isn't it obvious...you fucked around and now...you don't even know the father of that little bastard" he added and she was compelled to land a tight slap across his face turning his head away. The impact of her left hand was too much that he held his face with his hands and Cassy saw how angry he looked
"How dare you bitch!" he growled out and prepared to hit her back when she held his hand midair before it could connect with her face
"Watch it because I won't let you humiliate me and call my son names...I'm better than a manwhore like you" Cassy said with a warning glare. If he knew any better than provoking her was a bad idea. She held too much anger in her heart and was ready to vent it out on anyone
"I have something for you...I'm sure you think you are the best" Tomas said shamelessly and shrugged his hand out of Cassy's hold and fixed the black blazer he was wearing and a long-sleeved white shirt with black trousers and nice black shoes. He had slightly long black curly hair. A long face with a neat beard and a bad attitude and a manwhore too. Such bad traits. For Tina's son, he was a complete failure
"The new celebrity is coming...let's see how you convince him to be our model...mom and I tried to convince him but he declined our offer… "Tomas said as he sat down on the chair elegantly. Cassy stood there doing everything possible not to vent her anger or strangle him to death. He knew he was a complete failure incapable of making work happen
"You know I'm not so good with that...he's a top celebrity as you said...how will I…"
"My orders...you better not fail or you are fired!"Tomas cut me off rudely and slammed his hand on the desk. "Think before you speak to your boss...now leave my office" he added, gesturing for her to the door. Of course, Cassy didn't say anything..she better gets her A-game on and thinks of a way to fix this
"And wait"suddenly the man called her back and when she turned around
"Mauricio Moreno is hosting a party he invited our company...make sure you don't wear rags because you'll be representing our company," he said disdainfully and cassy just turned away and left the office...of course she recalled Tina telling her about the invitation. She just had to sew up a dress and do what was needed in the meantime. She had a task at hand. Celebrities were difficult to handle. To think of it she didn't even ask the name of the celebrity so she could do some stalking
"That loser won't dare tell me the name...I'll just wait and pray I don't blow this up, "Cassy said with an exhale and dropped in her chair. She was glad Tina trusted her enough to give her her own office but first she needed to call Vivie. They both needed to talk about Archie. She saw how confused Vivienne was hearing she had a son.

"What! That's ridiculous...you are Victor's soon-to-be wife...she should understand love happens...no one has control over love"Alexis was not happy when Vivie told her about what happened earlier at Victor's house. Of course, I knew she would react like that. I was worried about Monica. Her hatred for me was something else. Yes, Victor had no right to love another woman. If she was in Alisa's place she wouldn't have loved if the man she loved fell in love with another woman.
"I feel so guilty now...I feel terrible Alex...what if...I don't think this is right" it was too much for me to bear. Having Monica around reminded me countless times that I was taking another woman's place. I loved Victor with all my heart. I had these feelings inside me which made it impossible for me to keep to myself… it wasn't fair for Monica to say such things to me because Alisa was no more.
Yes, she was looking out for her sister but she had to understand. No one could control love. It just happened and we didn't choose whom to fall in love with. The heart chose
"Don't feel bad bestie...it's not your fault Victor loves you and wants to make you his better half"Alexis said as she slammed a few books on the table and let out an exhale as if she had been working the entire night and was tired
"Still...she's Alisa's sister and supposedly Skylar's aunt...she has…"
"She's not Skylar's aunt Vivie...you have more rights over that house than anyone else...it's high time you told that woman that Skylar is your daughter, not Alisa's"Alexis cut me off and said shouting but I was quick to shut her up. Yes, we weren't at the office but at a library searching for something, however we didn't want the wrong people to hear about my secret. It was enough that I told her about this just in case she found out from someone else
"Vivie you don't have to feel ashamed but proud...stop this for once...the fear in your heart will continue to grow if you keep this from Vic," Alexis said as she took a seat
"I know...his birthday is coming up soon...I was thinking of giving him a romantic surprise...I'll tell him then"I found out about his birthday years back. Kyan told me Victor never celebrated his birthday even when Alisa was around. I was hoping we could change things. A romantic getaway would be nice...just the two of us
"Aww so lovey-dovey...you are my favorite couple, so cute" Alexis teased with a mischievous pout. Her words had me blush knowing she said this almost all the time
"But first I have plans," I said, changing the topic. I handed her a small book I have been writing
"What's this?"
"I was thinking of opening up a business of our own...just for starters...I came up with options" I said as she read through. I've had this plan for a while now. I was hoping once we graduated we could start up something
"Sounds good but what can we do?" she asked arching her eyebrows at me "We could start up a restaurant, "I said hesitantly It was hard to choose which business to do especially now but I had so many plans for us
"And why are you even worrying about the future...you are a Billionaire girlfriend and soon to be wife...your future is already secure," Alexis said, arching her brows at me as if I was committing a crime. I didn't know why all these people thought so little of me
"That's my point...I don't want him to overshadow me...or be called a Billionaire's wife...I want to stand on my own okay" this made me angry, everyone thought I wanted Victor for his money. It wasn't it. I had plans of my own and they'd soon be put into action. I already started looking for a good building with a nice location
"Yeah yeah but still...your man is loaded...so filthy rich...women die to share a bed with Victor...no offense, "Alexis said with a chuckle while raising her hands in the air in surrender form. Of course, I knew how many women wanted Victor but that wasn't my concern. He was mine and I had no time to be jealous
"Don't start because I'm gonna ask why the doc moved next door" I said mischievously and Alexis frowned..of course, I wasn't a child. Maverick and Alexis seemed to have something brewing up and I liked it
"He's a jerk plus who did you meet yesterday?" she remarked ignoring where I was taking the conversation of Maverick moving next to her apartment
"Oh, I met Cassy….I told you about her…"I said, getting up from the chair and walking up to the shelves. Alexis was bitter because I told her there was someone else before her
"Don't tell me you two are good buddies...I'm looking forward to meeting my rival" she spat out disdainfully and all I could do was laugh at her childish behavior. She was too much. Of course, it was good to add Cassy to our little squad. Just three friends and nothing else
"Come on...we need to go...I heard we are attending a party...we need good dresses" Alexis said, reminding me about the party Mauricio was throwing. I didn't want to go but Victor asked me to be his date.
"Well is Maverick your date...Leo told me he asked you"I said, arching my brows at her..she pouted cutely knowing I was aware of everything...I was like a satellite hovering over love birds. Blooming love as well as a certain someone hiding the father of her child.
Later Alexis and I decided to meet Cassy at a Cafe. I wanted to convince Cassy to find an apartment at the hotel we were staying in...that way the three of us could talk about things and gossip about men. Mostly about our love life.
