"Hey, ladies...umm what can I get for ya," a hot man in a Black vest showing off his abs and strong arms said. Immediately we got to the bar counter. He was such a darling with nice brown hair which he had covered with the black cap he wore
"Hey hottie...give us something strong, "Alexis said with a wink and the man who seemed to be in his late twenties smiled, biting his lower lip. I wanted to laugh at how these men just liked flirting with any beautiful woman they saw
"Woah and he's wearing a name tag...hi Gerald"I said seeing the name he had on and the man chuckled as if it was funny
"Is the beautiful redhead...on board?" the man asked, shifting his attention to me as if I didn't hear him. I nodded, this wasn't the first time I came to a club. The last time I did was when Alexis dragged me from the hostels saying I needed to loosen up. The club was bright with so many different colors of lights flashing on my face. The scenery was so mesmerizing that I didn't know why my heart was beating so loudly. The feeling was different especially when the music playing was making me shiver
"Baby boy give us everything you have...tonight's special"Alexis flirted. We had to shout since the music was insanely loud, and grabbed the man by his vest and pulled him close to her. Alexis was something else especially when she was in the mood to cause trouble. On our way here we had to debate what to wear. Of course, Alexis wanted me to wear a mini skirt and a see-through long-sleeved blouse which showed everything except for the chest area.
I said no and she ended up wearing blue ripped jeans and a small strapped crop shirt and a small leather jacket on top with sparkly gray-white sneakers and I wore gray ripped jeans with a strapless black crop shirt showing my belly, I threw a leather jacket on top but I guess it would go off if I felt hot. I decided to let my hair down and it felt good just sitting there moving my body to the rhythm of the music
"No hottie I think you are adorable" I heard Alexis still flirting with the bartender. It was really funny when my eyes shifted to the dance floor. I saw half-naked girls dancing on the dance floor which was occupied. There was also one on the second floor. The DJ was there as well. I looked up and had the urge to fling up from my high chair and let my inner beast out
"Damn it man what's your damned problem!"I heard Alexis curse bitterly and when I turned my attention to her, she was busy cleaning herself because some man had spilled liquor on her
"I'm sorry miss...I didn't know where I was going...my bad...let" the man said apologetically as he tried to help clean up but Alexis was too angry to listen as she shoved his hands away and glared at him
"Jerk... Viv...I'll clean this up" she snarled and turned to me.
"I'll help, "I said getting up from the chair but she stopped me
"No I'll be right back '' she stormed away and I sighed and sat down. For some. The man who caused that stayed there and ended up taking a chair next to me. He was wearing a white button-up long-sleeved shirt with blue jeans
"Hey...I'm sorry about that" he said toying with his glass and I ignored him and took my first drink the bartender gave me and turned to attend to it her customers
"I'm Mauricio...what's your name, pretty lady,'' he said even when I ignored him and focused on something else. Like the grumpy man I left home
"If you need company...how about I stay here...but why is a pretty lady like you here alone? ''The man continued saying what he had to say to me. I didn't know why he was talking to me and when I furiously turned around to look at him. I swear that he wasn't so bad-looking.
"Mister...don't you have other things to do?"I asked sarcastically knowing I didn't invite him to talk to me. The music was playing so much that I had to yell for him to hear him I even saw he was bothering me
"Such a sense of humor...well I saw you outside and I wanted to say hi", he said calmly and I failed to understand why he was talking like that. I was being rude to him but he was so polite and the way he was dressed he didn't seem like those men who came to the club to take advantage of women but those men were not to be trusted either
"Look here, sir...I didn't ask for your company thank you very much" saying that I got off the chair and prepared to go and sit in the VIP area but came to a halt when the man mistakenly grabbed my arm. I hated it when other men touched me and when I turned around. If he knew any better then he would leave me alone.
"Can I have a dance Ms...the song is my favorite"the man surprised me when he said with a smile. I wanted to laugh or at least insult him to scram, unfortunately, it was hard to do that when his smile was so cute with tiny dimpled on each cheek. His emerald green eyes sparkled each time he smiled and I didn't know what to do
"No, I have…"I said flashing a fake smile and turned to leave when I stopped instantly. My heart skipped a beat when my eyes landed on the man who just entered the building. The lights flashed a reddish-blue and green color on his talk figure. The way he was dressed had me blinking a few times to make sure I was seeing the correct thing but hell no because dressed in all black from dark ripped jeans to his shirt which stuck to him showing off his hot body. He had a black coat on top but he looked so different, especially the way his hair was a little messy.
"What's grumpy face doing here?"I muttered curses under my breath but everything turned sour when a bunch of half-naked women swarmed around him like bees. "Is he honey or what?"I said sarcastically not sure why all those shameless women were busy touching Victor as if he were some monument put on display to touch
"Are...you okay?"I heard Mauricio as he called himself ask and turning around I looked at him for a while and smirked
"Mauricio right," I asked and he nodded vigorously "let's have a good time...I'm alone and bored so how about you be my drinking buddy," I said with a smile and snatched the half glass of whatever he was drinking and gulped it down without thinking twice
"Hey hey slow down pretty lady...it's"
"Nice" I said, slamming the glass on the counter, acting like it was nothing when deep down my throat was burning like hell. Was that acid or what. How do people drink such bitter liquid which tasted so horrible like mixed detergents? For a second I wanted to gag out the damned liquid but I composed myself and acted normal. Didn't want the man to think I was trying to use him to get back at Victor
"Shall we? "I said and he nodded and pulled out a chair and I sat down. He gestured for the waiter and he came running. I smiled and glanced over my shoulder only to meet with Victor's piercing gaze. So sharp and penetrating that despite the noise and the distance between us. I could feel his anger, his blood boiling which made me happy as I flipped my hair cheekily and turned to Mauricio placing my hand on his bicep
"Something soft for the lady," Mauricio said and we clicked glasses. This time the liquid wasn't so bitter but sweet and so tasty. I smiled as Mauricio and I chatted knowing there was a raging monster behind me and I could feel his hot gaze on me. I glanced toward the stage and the DJ was setting up a mic
"Hey what's that"I asked the Gerald when he approached
"Well there's going to be a live performance...we get requests from various female customers to sing and dance"
"It's part of the entertainment here," Mauricio added when Gerald said with a smile and I was stunned. was it bar
"Anyone?"
"Yes miss...it's open...just ask my man Greg up there for the song of your choice and he will do the rest"
I smiled shrewdly and knew what to do
"Do you have face masks?"I asked just to make sure I did this right and Gerald nodded.
"Yup I can show you...hey, Lita ''Gerald said and called out to a skinny lady wearing a bikini busy serving people and she came. She was so tall not sure if because of the heels she was wearing but I seemed like a kid in front of her
"Yes G"
"The lady wants some assistance...please help her," he said and the lady looked at me with a smile
"Do...you?"Mauricio asked with amusement in his eyes and I just blinked carelessly not sure if this was right.
Victor, who was dying to leave the bunch of women asking him to dance with them, was restless as he kept his eyes on the redhead. What was she wearing and why was she smiling so much and most importantly who was that man she was talking to and why was she drinking when she didn't know how to hold her liquor?
"Hey let me take this?"Maverick, who walked up to Victor, said as soon as he entered the club but he soon received another call hence he made his way towards the men's restroom.
"Don't do that...just follow the instructions I gave you," he said as he disappeared from the noisy place. The cheers and loud music subsided as he walked further away talking to his patient. This was the first time he came here hence he aimlessly walked randomly without even realizing which way was the men's restroom or the lady's restroom
"If it doesn't stop then you try a heating pad," he said but stopped when suddenly the lights went out in that particular area turning everything dark. He only saw the passageway and knew up ahead was the men's restroom hence he didn't mind as he continued on the phone

"That damned man...now look, ''Alexis said with disdain as she cleaned off the liquid she had spilled with her. Her jeans were stained and wet at the same time. She had been here for quite some time now and there was no way of getting it fixed
"If I see that man again I'll slit his throat" she continued cursing as she used more water to clean her belly. The lady's restroom was so empty, she was the only one there, and just as she was about to dig in her purse and get her makeup. The lights went out turning the entire vast room dark
"Huh...what's this huh...do they have power cuts or something," she said, hating how her night had turned out. But she took her ourselves and started looking for her phone, unfortunately, she remembered something
"Vivienne's purse" she recalled giving it to Vivie so now she was stranded. Without wasting time she quickly turned off the tap and got ready to leave when suddenly the door opened stopping her in her tracks and then she heard it lock. Fear washed over her because it was dark and she couldn't see anyone but when she tried to move
"Ahh" she bumped into something solid or more soft and warm. The person was startled as well but she was more scared because the perfume she smelled was that of a man and the man was frozen in place like a statue hearing a woman's voice in the men's restroom. Maverick swallowed hard, not sure if he entered the wrong place or the woman was in the wrong place due to the power cut.
