I haven't looked for the picture and let it be and just thought that maybe he's just placed it somewhere else or he's hidden it, so if he's avoiding this topic frequently, I shouldn't get engaged and let him explain when he's ready or he's comfortable enough.

But I can’t contain my conscience anymore, my system is consuming me too much. It’s good that I can still sleep soundly at night.

I just tapped my cheeks and started arranging the things I need to fix since it will be night and there will be another meeting about the outing that will happen next week.

Blade’s POV

Alessia is approaching me and as she works by my side, I like to work, but something about her movements earlier sends a pain that stings through my chest. I don't know what's going on, but I don't like it when she's like that, but I can't say either what is my situation either.

When she approached me to pass on what I asked her to do, I was impressed that she had done it that quickly, maybe as an experience chic, it was that easy. What do I expect? Alessia Rae Williams, the Heir of Delta TechOps.

“These are the documents you are asking for. I don't know how your shares are lacking, but I think something is a bit off. " She said to me as she unfolded a folded paper, and present it to me.

"In the shares of one of your companies, the record should be stable before the start of the new year, but it is only mid-year and his shares have dropped by $250,000. I don’t know if it has something to do with type errors, but it’s a bit off," she told me that I was surprised why I didn't see that. I thought the record was already like that.

I didn't talk to Alessia, and I just went straight to the elevator to go to my leader’s office that was in charge of shares and charts.

"Charles!" I called the man sitting and focused on his computer. He stood up in his seat and I made him sit down again.

“I just have clarification about the missing bill. Do you still remember this? I told him and handed him the paper I was holding

"Yes, one of your branches? I also find it odd, but your dad told me that it's only natural when I consult this issue with him. " He said as he looked at the paper and traced where it was recorded.

"Ms. Williams is the one who noticed that. I didn't pay attention to it at first, but maybe later it will lead to some serious damage if we let it go. Can you work on that for me? "I said patting his shoulder

"I'll try my best." He said to me while fixing his eyeglasses.

"I need the full report the day after tomorrow," I told him, and left his room and came back to my office. I don't know where that money was used because it was a huge amount that shouldn't be ignored.

I don't know what my father did with that money, but I think he owes me an explanation. But I’ll do that when I got the results, when I saw that it was almost 6 pm, I thought of sending a message in the group chat. At 6:30, all the employees should be at the hall so I can perform the said meeting regarding the outing that would be held next week.

When I got out of the elevator and went straight up to my office, I saw that Alessia was not at her table, and when I entered the room, I saw her lying on her table just being blocked by documents she was arranging.

When I approached her table, I couldn’t help but wonder why a woman like her would be so beautiful. She looks like an angel that’s been sent from above. I sat with one of my thighs on her table as I watched her beauty.

"If only I met you far earlier, wouldn't that be great?"

I just stared at her until she turned around and put her head on my thigh, to my surprise.

“You don't have to tell me. I know it's too heavy. Talk to me when you need a friend.” She said while her eyes are closed.

I don't know, but something inside of me felt warm. I didn't send any message to Kycine, just an email that I'm finishing everything about us and there is no proper explanation. I don't want to compare, but Alessia provided something that Kycine never did. Sometimes I think maybe she only uses me to make people around us that she’s superior for having me as her half in the meantime.

I didn't think about it anymore and let us be like that for a while, and Alessia got up from lying down.

"Your thigh is better than my pillow." She said to me and she covered her mouth because she was yawning.

I kissed her forehead because the site was so cute. "You can head home. I'll just send you the details of the meeting." I said to her as I parted the hair on her back.

She just smiled at me and hugged me. I don’t know what happened, but I hugged her back.

"I'm sorry," I said to her.

“I'm sorry, because—" I said but she cut my words and said

“It’s fine. I can wait until you’re comfortable sharing what’s been going on. I’ll just head home and get some rest."

"Buy soju, let's drink," she told me I just laughed.

The meeting went smoothly and everything was set. Everyone cheered as I announced the next week's event where we’ll have team building, and most importantly, my healed half-healed heart.

"Congratulations on sealing the deal, Fred, and to my trusted team, congratulations. Next week it's all on me." The crowd cheered as if there were stressed, tired and sleepless nights recovered because of what I said.

I’m glad I didn’t end up like my father, rarely giving his employees vacation, but I’m glad he tells me knowledge that can’t be compared by anyone

I don't know how I feel about Alessia, but I have to know if it's just lust or contract, or true feelings.

"I’m home."

I received a few messages from her, but I felt thousands of shivers from that small message. I knew where I was coming and I knew I had to tell her the truth.
