Chapter 13: Chapter 13

I woke up without Blade next to me. I got up from lying down and sat down, and to my surprise, he was nowhere to be found. I remembered what happened last night. I wasn't happy with the result, but I just let myself not leave the room and went straight to the shower room.

I didn't last long and I chose to go first with Blade's company. I was enjoying the loud music when the door suddenly opened, making me grab the bathroom curtain to shield my body.

"What were you thinking?" I told him

"I've been calling you; you haven't responded previously, so I'm concerned." He says, looking at me.

“You've got the answer to your question. You can leave.” I said rudely to him.

Then he closed the door. I don't know, we didn't have a problem, but I want to know why he chose marriage or did we ruin their relationship. I want to know why he chose it.

I came out of the room dressed and ready for work while Blade was on his apron arranging the things he cooked.

“Join me!" He told me

I looked at it and he knew how much I love his cooking, but I don’t have any appetite.

"No thank you, I still have to go through the company that I need to get through before I go to your company," I said as I walked through the door.

He didn't stop me and he also didn't call me, which brought a stinging pain to my heart.

I got out when I saw that my car was not there. Then realizes that it was left in our house, and when I came back to the main door, I saw the smiling Blade leaning on the edge of the door.

When I entered the mansion again, I couldn't help but be angry and shy. Why did I say that?

“If you don't eat, you will call a cab. If you eat, I will take you to get your car. " He told me with a smile.

I was annoyed, and I sat on the seat and ate calmly. Blade and I didn't talk much the whole time we ate, and I was standing up.

"I'm not dressed and I haven't taken a bath yet, so you'll have to wait." He said to me

That I didn’t answer and let him go to get dressed.

“Don’t worry about that. Mrs. Armstrong. I’ll take you there asap"

He told me, but I ignored him and just scrolled through Soc-Med and looked at the latest update. After realizing that he was taking so long, I was about to call a cab when the door of our room finally opened.

He passed right through me, making me growl, and I just followed him. He didn't open the door for me, so I sat in the back seat.

When I opened the back door of the car and was about to abort when he looked at me from the mirror.

“Are you sure you’re going to sit there? What will your parents say, but what if they—"

I interrupted what he was saying as I slammed the car door I had opened and opened the door next to him.

"Much better." He said, almost laughing.

We were halfway through when he suddenly spoke.

"Apologize to your parents."

He told me I was shocked.

"Stay out of this." I sparingly answer.

"I know where you're going, but please apologize." He said as he caressed the surface of my hand.

And I pulled it away, placing it with my hands a bit further from where he reached it.

"You don't know, so act like no one," I said with a cold tone, and the whole trip we were quiet I was just looking out the window when I realized we were close to my parents' house.

"I know we have a problem, but can you tone it down so we can talk?" He said to me in his most calming voice.

"Just give me some time. I'm sorry," I said to him without looking at him and got out of the car.

The door opened for me and I didn’t go inside the mansion. I couldn’t apologize, and it’s not pride, it was just too much pain and I was about to board my car.

"Alessia!" my mom shouted.

I just looked at her and let her get close to me. I didn't pay attention to it. I think it was because of the pain I still feel.

"I hope you'll be patient with your dad." While holding my hand, she said this.

I just smiled at her and said, "Can you tell Dad? That I’m sorry. I was under the influence of alcohol."

"It's okay, I know he understands." Mom said to me while rubbing my arms.

I kissed my mom’s cheeks and drove to the Armored Air building. I just said that I would pass by our company, but the truth is that I just wanted to arrive there first so we wouldn't be seen together.

But he’s right. Whatever our parents did to us, they are still our parents, and I'm glad Blade made me realize that.

When I arrived at his office, he was not there and I thought he had something important to attend to. He just took his time. I was fixing my desk when I saw a picture of us and it was framed. I was so annoyed because it reminded me of that girl who was placed before his table.

"I thought you'd like it." He said to me as he leaned against the door.

"What’s with you and doors?" I asked him as I walked to the front of my table.

“Well, you're always unaware of your surroundings. That's why I see you over here.”

“But guess what? It's your lucky day because my team sealed the biggest deal.”

I just looked at him and he held my hand while I was standing.

"So we will have a vacation for a week." He said once to me, hugging me and twirling me around. I laughed when he stopped. We were surprised when the lady assigned to the front desk entered. He was looking confused.

And we parted, fixing our clothes and giggling in the back of our minds.
