Chapter 125: Chapter 125

The barber smiled at him and said, "Looking good, sir!"

"You're all set!"

Blade hurriedly paid the barber more than he should, but because he was in a hurry, he didn't take his change from what he paid and ended up going as fast as he could to meet his first love.

Blade decided to go home first to get the ring that he was going to give. He was unsure if he was going to do it, but he thought that it was worth the risk.

While he was on his way to buy three balloons that were colored pink and were shaped like a heart, Blade hurried to go to the soul house, but as he was running towards it, his phone rang and he couldn't avoid it since James knew that he was doing something important other than work.

"Sir, Miss Brazie wanted to go home. Will I book another hotel room for her and Miss? Falcon?" James asked.

Blade just clicked his tongue and started walking as he was already near the soul house.

"You can send her to my room, same with Alessia, but I'm not sure I should ask her."

Blade thought for a second and said, "If you can find me a room with three rooms, I'll be glad."

There was a long silence on the phone call, which made Blade confused.

"James, are you still there?"

"Yes Sir, I already booked what you asked me, and are you sure it's 3 rooms?"

Blade just sighed and said, "Do you happen to know anything that was in charge of catering?"

James paused for a while and said, "I know someone, but for what?"

"Can you call them to set up a table for me?"

James just looked at the phone and said, "Why?"

Blade sighed again as he thought that this man lacked personal romance because he was the breadwinner of the family all his life, so he didn't have time to fall romantically for someone.

"What do you mean, why?" I'm going to ask her hand again."

Blade said while stopping at the entrance of Soul House. He still couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.

"No. I don't want to."

Hearing that made Blade freeze and struggle for words as he turned to face Alessia, who appeared lifeless and whose eyes were already red.

"I'm sorry, but I don't want you to ask for my hand."

Blade was lost for words as his hand acted on its own, as if it had its brain, and scratched his nape and looked at the maiden in front of him, lost for words.

"Sir?" James said it on the other line.

And James looked at the phone in disbelief and asked himself, "Is that a long table or a single table?"

Alessia and Blade were standing face-to-face as a cold breeze passed through them. No one spoke, and they were just looking at each other.

Blade couldn't bring himself to talk.

Alessia was frozen to where she was standing and didn't know what to do. Some of the visitors from distant parks were returning home.

Blade cleared his throat and said, stammering, "D-do you want to go home?"

"Brazie is already home."

"She told me to pick you up."

Alessia was just looking at him unsure and she felt that she had overstepped her boundaries and something inside her body began to sting for an unknown reason.

Blade left her and they just followed Blade's car, which was a Royce roller, and they went on a trip where neither of them dared utter a word.

They reached the hotel, and before Alessia could go out, she asked, "What is the room number?"

Blade pretended to be busy and said softly, "Room 323."

Blade saw Alessia leave as if she was really in a hurry. Blade placed his forehead on the steering wheel of the car and sighed deeply.

As he didn't even ask her properly, he was rejected directly.

A tear suddenly ran down his cheeks and he hurriedly brushed it off. He thought of the nicest things and reasons that she might be thinking of rejecting him.

Blade hurried to get out and go to the elevator as he saw that Alessia was still waiting for the elevator to come down, so he decided to wait outside a little longer to avoid being awkward with each other.

She felt drained as she entered a hotel filled with lots of people. She felt lost as she was waiting for the elevator to go down. She was thinking of taking the stairs, but that wasn't quite optional.

The elevator opened and as it was closing, she saw how long Blade's back was and felt guilty for saying a sudden answer because of fear.

She saw a buffet inside the room and was clueless why there was so much food like someone was having a party.

She went to Brazie's room to see that the little girl was already falling asleep. She also noticed that there were three in the room, so she ended up taking the other one without taking a shower.

After that, only a few seconds later, she heard the opening and closing of her door and something about her quickening. She was expecting a hug, but after a minute of waiting, no one hugged her and she was... alone.

Blade got up the stairs to where his room. It was an open space but he lay down while covering his face. He and Blade rolled over to think about what they both had said.

Alessia's guilty of saying no, but she's also afraid of repeating all the pain she's running away from.

Blade wanted to stop everything he was doing, but he promised himself that he would fight for it until she finally opened up, "Why did you suddenly rush those things, Blade?"

Blade twisted and turned, but he was restless, and so was Alessia.

As they were turning, guilt started to swallow their entire being. Alessia decided to talk it out with him, and Blade ran down the stairs to meet her in front of the door of her room.

As soon as the door opened, they saw each other. They didn't know that Brazie was peaking at the door.

Alessia threw herself into Blade's arms and they kissed passionately.

Brazie shook her head and placed the headphones on her head and said, "About time." and closed her eyes.

In Alessia's room, clothes started to be thrown away from each side of the room.

There were no words expressed as they both talked about how they moved and how they gave love to each other.

They both took each other that night, as they were both exhausted by giving themselves satisfaction.

Blade stared at her and placed his forehead on hers and said, "So will you allow me to wait on you?"

Alessia just giggled as he was looking at Blade's face filled with lipstick, and Blade moved towards her and kissed her forehead, then hugged her tight.

Blade never stopped pursuing her. Alessia lost her trust in him for a ton of reasons, but her love didn't.

As Blade touched her heart in his very gentle gesture, she kissed him out of nowhere and felt warm tears threaten to fall.

The flames of love started to burn again.

And this time it won't die.

Loving someone will sometimes hurt, so much fun, lose, and even you will lose something, but that's part of the journey.

It's up to you how you go about everything while taking a risk. Find someone you'll know taking a risk is worth it.

Would you risk it if love occurred at the most difficult time? You know what---I would. (Alessia Rae Williams, 2021)
