Chapter 31: Chapter 31
<Azaria>
"Azaria," a man mentioned my name. I furrowed my brow. How did he know my name? People are so weird nowadays. I'm already famous because of my scamming past.
"Are you asking to borrow money from me? I don't have any," I replied to him. I knew I offended him with my response. "And if you're planning to bash me, you better keep quiet for now," I added, trying to sound snappy. I already have so many bashers, and I don't need any more.
I have a lot of haters and receive a lot of bashing, but fortunately, I don't read what they say about me on social media, so it doesn't affect my daily life. Except for the gossiping employees of Nick who always talk about me.
Ignoring is the best response, and that's what I do. Besides, they're so ugly that they don't deserve my attention.
The handsome man with bangs and a Korean-style outfit laughed. He wore a long coat and a knitted jacket. He looked so handsome, very Korean-style.
"I'm Lanvin," he introduced himself and extended his hand. Because I'm a bit flirty, I accepted it and smiled sweetly at him.
"You have the same name as someone," I said to him.
"Who? Lanvin?" He asked in return.
I laughed stupidly at his response. Is this guy on drugs?
"Yes, Lanvin. You have the same name," I sarcastically replied, nodding my head. I looked up at him since he's tall.
He chuckled sexily.
"Are you sure you don't know me?" He made sure, raising an eyebrow. He's raising his eyebrow. Is he gay? Maybe he is. He approached me because he's jealous of my beauty.
"Have we met in my dreams?" I asked playfully.
He laughed louder at my question.
"Deja vu," he whispered, and I couldn't hear what he said.
"I'm Lanvin," I could sense something in his voice but couldn't find the right words to describe it.
"Can I hug you?"
I raised an eyebrow at his question. He wants to hug me? We just met, and he wants to kiss me? Eww, pervert!
"Sorry, you remind me of my wife," he said sadly.
"Maybe it's because you look like her and have the same attitude," I replied weirdly, looking at his face.
"Why? Is your wife in heaven?" I jokingly asked.
I didn't expect his answer. He nods his head, "Yeah. Someone tried to take her away from me, and she was killed by the same man who was obsessed with her."
Why do I suddenly feel so sad? My heartbeat quickened, and I felt like I couldn't breathe. It's such a weird feeling.
"Are you okay?"
Suddenly, my head started to ache. Maybe I'm low on money.
"Are you okay? Did I scare you? I think I became too aggressive. I attended your wedding, and I was the best man. You seem to have forgotten quickly, Azaria," he said, shaking his head. He changed the topic so fast.
I rolled my eyes. "How would I know that you were the best man at my wedding? I have no obligation to remember all of you," I replied playfully, trying not to offend him. It's true though; I only know my family members, and I didn't even bother to get to know Nick's family. I didn't pay attention to the people he introduced to me that time, and I wasn't interested. I didn't even notice if my own relatives were there. I just don't care about them; they don't give me any money.
He just laughed at my response.
I glanced back at Lanvin to look at the gossipy people, but they were gone. Maybe the demons took them away.
"Who are you looking for?"
Before I could answer, someone called my name.
"Azaria," the person called out in a serious and intimidating tone.
"N-Nick," I stammered, calling his name. I suddenly felt nervous when I saw him, even though I hadn't done anything wrong. His aura was angry, and he was clenching his jaw.
Nick pulled me closer to him and placed his hand on my waist. Lanvin noticed it.
The men were staring at each other, sizing each other up.
Are they ex-boyfriends?
"Nikolai," Lanvin mentioned Nik's name.
Meanwhile, Nik's expression remained unchanged. His aura was intimidating.
"Nik has the same name as you. He's copying your first name," I complained and hugged him.
"Let's go, Azaria. Stop talking to him," Nik said, clenching his jaw while still looking at Lanvin.
What's their problem with each other?
Nik pulled me away.
"Azaria, see you around!" Lanvin shouted at me and waved with a sweet smile.
"Stop talking to that man, he is dangerous, Azaria!" Nik threatened me as we entered his office. His jaw was clenched, and his aura was dark.
"I told you not to talk to other men!" He yelled at me when we were inside his office.
"I-I wasn't t-talking to him... H-he was the one t-talking to me," I stammered in response and stepped back.
"Really? If I hadn't come, maybe you would have gone on a date with him!" He said angrily, gritting his teeth and looking like he wanted to hurt someone.
He's dangerous too, so why doesn't he stop himself from approaching me? He gave me a nasty look, his fist clenched. Veins popped out on his forehead and neck, and his ears turned red with anger.
"Lanvin, I-I didn't approach him," I said fearfully. I was scared and on the verge of tears.
"This is not the fucking last time I saw you talking to men, Azaria! I'm simply asking for something so basic, why can't you do it, huh?"
I flinched at the intensity of his shout.
"Why are you getting angry?" I asked him, my voice trembling.
"Why wouldn't I get mad, huh? You're always giving me a reason to get mad! You never fail to hurt me, Azaria."
I attempted to reason with the man who shares his name as if I committed a grave mistake.
"I was just talking to him, huh!" I shouted back at him.
"That's the problem! You keep on entertaining and talking to men!" he yelled at me with anger in his eyes. Did he mean to say I'm being flirtatious?
I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. I saw a flicker of emotion in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared.
"You're the one who's flirting with Camille and enjoying it!" I refused to back down.
He looked at me, surprised. "We're talking about you, not me! You're really good at turning the tables, Azaria," he said in awe yet with anger.
"Don't come near me," I threatened him, taking a step back. But instead, he approached, and I ran away from him.
"Really? You're running from me?" he asked in disbelief.
"Azaria! Damn it, if you don't come closer, you won't like what I'm about to do," he said with his jaw clenched.
"You're scaring me! Why are you mad at me, huh? I wasn't the first one to talk to him. You're accusing me of flirting with all the men out there!" I cried, feeling hurt by his words.
His expression softened, and he took long strides to come closer to me. He embraced me.
"Hush.. hush, baby..." he said soothingly, gently stroking my hair.
"I hate you," I said in a hoarse voice.
"I'm fucking jealous every time you talk to other men," he confessed dangerously. I couldn't see his expression as my face was buried in his broad chest.
"Do you think I'm not jealous of your closeness with Camille?" I couldn't help but express my feelings.
He made it difficult for me as he smirked with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He could still manage to smile, ugh!
"Are you jealous, wife?" he teased while grinning. He was angry a while ago, and now he's so happy.
I glared at him and pushed him, but he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me from behind. I turned my back to him while he rested his chin on my shoulder.
"No! Why would I be jealous of that woman with the chubby cheeks!" I exclaimed, feeling my heart burn with irritation towards that woman.
"Really?" Even without looking at him, I knew he had a playful smile on his face. He seemed to be enjoying my annoyance.
"You want to be with her, go ahead! No matter how close you two are, I don't care! Even if you two kiss right in front of me!" I said, seething with anger towards that woman.
He turned me around to face him. He looked serious, yet his eyes were happy.
"I'm giving you away," he said teasingly, "heck! You're the only woman I'll kiss for the rest of my life," he said seriously. He sounded so sure of what he was saying.
"I'll stay away from Camille, and I won't let her get close to me. Happy?" He said seriously, while gently caressing my hair, "I don't want you to be jealous anymore, and I don't want to give you any reason to be jealous. Though you're cute when you're jealous," he said with delight.
I gave him a stern look and pouted.
"Assuming!" I retorted, but he pulled me closer and kissed my forehead. Lanvin is so touchy, ugh! He often places his hands on my breasts, and sometimes he unhooks my bra as if it has become his hobby.
**
"Lanvin, I guess I'm famous, huh? A lot of people recognize me, but they don't even ask for a picture," I said with a smirk as I took his ballpen and played with it.
"Why? Do you want to be an artist?" He asked seriously and stood up, walking towards my position.
I pondered for a moment.
"I don't need to be an artist to become famous," I said with a grin as he approached me.
"I even surpassed the fame of some artists. I have a lot of bashers on the internet, but I don't pay attention to them. Let them stress over me and bash me; it's just making me more popular. Once I become even more famous, brands will come after me, and I can make money," I said with a smile.
He swiveled his chair so that I was facing him.
"I'll handle your bashers on social media. You have to spend your money right? Stop buying luxury things; instead, buy the brand," he suggested.
He leaned against his table while facing me.
"I know," I said, a bit annoyed with his constant advice. I have a brain too, you know. The question is, am I using it?
"Invest in traveling, buy the brand, not just the product, and have a passive income. Use your credibility to establish a business. You won't be able to earn money forever. You need to have a passive income," he advised seriously.
"Though I am here to support your wants and needs, I want you to be financially stable and responsible," he added.
He's saying a lot, this guy.
"Nye nye nye," I mock him.
He let out a sigh.
"Fine! Just be quiet now. I'm just enjoying myself because I got depressed when I was buried in debt," I reasoned.
He stood up, and I took his place in the swivel chair. He held my hand and made me sit on his lap. Lanvin gently kissed my forehead.
"I want to see you in your victory. I don't want to watch you fall down. I want you to stand on your own feet with or without me by your side," he said while cupping my small face with both of his palms.
I moved my face away from him before speaking. I was afraid that if I spoke up close, he might suddenly be turned off by my bad breath.
"Nick, are you dying or something to be saying all of these things to me?" I asked seriously.
"Ouch! You're so mean!" I complained as he pinched my cheek.
"You're so naughty!"
I gave him a glare.
He suddenly cupped my face and kissed me on the cheek where he pinched me.
"Does it still hurt?" He asked gently.
I pouted and was taken aback when he suddenly kissed me on the lips. I blinked, while he had a broad grin on his face.
Lanvin Nikolai!
"Kiss me," he demanded when I didn't respond to his kiss.
I shook my head at him and covered my mouth. He rolled his eyes at my action. He embraced me affectionately and kissed me on the forehead.
"Baby..." he said in a tender voice. His hoarse voice sent shivers down my spine. I felt myself getting warm because of the depth of his voice.
"Wife..." he called me as he started kissing my face. He turned me to face him and quickly kissed me. I stopped resisting and returned his kiss.
"Ugh," I moaned as I felt his hand on my chest. He was only holding it, but I was already getting turned on.
Nick didn't let anything happen between us in his office. I woke up dressed and didn't see him in his entire office. It was a fuck and go situation.
