Justine stood tall and said, "What is your business here? Do you have an appointment with Miss Emelda?"

Justine was so stiff because she didn't want to repeat what happened that day, and she carefully examined the person in front of her when her eyes glazed over and the man gulped hard as he said, "Is Miss Lily Tilford here?"

Lily and Emelda, who was in the living room, were looking at each other when they saw and heard Justine. It was as if there was an enemy in front of the door.

Lily was so worried that she chose to approach the door and whispered to Justine, "Who is it and what's going on?"

Justine looked at her with a worried expression and said, "Someone is looking for you and it's someone I've never seen before."

Lily wanted to see who it was, but Justine prevented her from doing so. Justine pushed Lily, who was at the door, leaving it unattended, and said, "You should stay with Miss Emelda while I send this man away."

Lily felt like complaining, but she felt soft as Justine was really concerned and she didn't want to repeat what happened to her last week.

As the door slowly opened, the man on the outside had a chance to see who was inside, because when the woman at the door gretted him, he only saw half of her head and saw who was sitting on a table near the old lady, and his heart began to melt.

A word didn't come out of his mouth, and he felt so happy to see his child alive.

Lily, whose gaze suddenly landed on the figure on the door and couldn't seem to catch her tongue, slowly stood up. Everything went into slow motion. Even the guy in front of the door was stunned. Lily was confused and her hands went towards her mouth out of shock.

"Violet..." Daniel said it softly, but Lily heard it from where she stood.

One word that she missed being called by him, a word that sent shivers down her toe, that word that sent warmth that was not like then, the warmth and love of his father when his mother was still alive.

She promised herself that it would never be brought up and stayed hidden, but when Liam called her, she felt soft and now... her father, who has come to see her, is here. Justine was stunned and was about to stop the man from entering.

"Don't." said Emelda, and Justine looked at her confused, especially since she knew that it was a mysterious man, but when she looked at Lily, whose eyes were filled with tears, Lily ran and hugged her father.

She didn't feel angry, but rather assured. That was in his father's eyes.

Daniel hugged Lily as tears fell from their eyes.

"I thought you were dead." Daniel said

I just looked at  dad, confused, and said, "W-what?"

"I assumed you were no longer alive, and I'm the only one who remembers you..."

Daniel said and held my face and examined every feature of me that I think he missed, longing for his one and only daughter. We remained hugged and Daniel noticed a little hand hugging Lily and was shocked, "Is he???"

I just nodded happily and said, "Come here, Steve, meet grandpa."

Andrem hugged Daniel, who was seated on the floor, and he said, "I don't know where you have been grandpa but..."

"Welcome home."

I was just looking at Dad when he suddenly went in to kiss Steve on the cheek, and so was I. And we hugged each other. I knew that in the business industry, people who are addicted to power, money, and fame will not disappear, but I'm glad that my father changed.

"Would you like to join us for dinner?" Emelda asked.

Daniel's gaze landed on Emelda, and he stood up to hold her hand and said, "Thank you for taking care of my daughter, Mrs. Dawnson."

Emelda just patted the man's hand and said, "No, thank you for having a wonderful daughter."

Looking from a distance, they look like a family who have finally reunited after a long time of being away from each other.

Lily's point of view...

"What do you mean, dead?"

I was stunned to find out and was confused that I died and there was a body of me that my father confirmed. 'Is that the reason all of my info and pictures on the web were deleted?'

'The reason for Liam's not finding me?'

Father just nodded and said, "Your stepmother told me that they found you dead, and at that time it was strange, but I knew that it was you."

"But after 3 years, I found that Midzy and Ilena saw you with Liam, but I still can't believe that you are alive."

I was just listening to him closely and waiting for him to speak another word when he said, "I'm sorry.."

I was taken aback and prevented my tears from falling. It was just a simple word, but it eased my heart.

All of those years, I was waiting for him to say it, and he added, "For finding someone who just loved me and not you , I was blinded and wanted to replace your mother so much."

The father held my hand and said, "I was so worried that you might burden yourself for not having a mother or not being able to provide what I need, but the solution I found..."

"Was I the one who caused you so much pain? How could I've been so blind.."

My father wiped the tears from my eyes, and we were the only two in the living room talking. It was the closure I wanted to happen for a long time.

My father sniffed and said, "You look just like your mother. Thinking of the hardships you've caused makes me feel so guilty..."

"But that doesn't matter because I need to prepare you for something."

I was confused, but I kept my mouth shut, and father looked at me seriously and said, "It's about your mother's death."

I looked at him as my heart quickened and he added, "It wasn't an accident."
