Chapter 2: Chapter 2
"I promise not to bother you after you leave this place in ten days, so come on, join me."
I don't know why Mindzy has been so sweet, but this person informed me that time passes so quickly. Over the past several weeks, she has persuaded me that she desperately wants to be married since she is old and needs to have a family, but I have chosen to ignore her.
It's strange that I kept turning her down and that I don't pay attention to everything she does.
"It's good to see you two together, Violet, so go with her."
He walked into the living room and said, "Who would have thought that a wedding would bring the two of you closer?"
Mindzy ran over to him, holding my father's arm.
Mindzy looked down and said, "Daddy, the thing is, Violet, doesn't want the slumber party. Then I invited her to go with me to a nice restaurant, but she refused."
I felt repulsed. I once attempted to tell my father that I couldn't take it.
He did not heed my explanation and reprimanded me instead, claiming that I was only behaving that way because I disliked them both. I ultimately cut off contact with him on that day, but it still aches and I still weep myself to sleep.
"Why wouldn't you, Violet? Your sister's been exerting a lot of effort on you for the past month, and I see that. Why don't you just accept it? You won't be hurt by being appreciative." He said, and I scoffed.
I don't know where he got this being one-sided, but it pains me.
Mindzy approached me and clung to my arm, which I despised and found disgusting.
"Dad, don't be angry at Violet; we are heading out, you see." She said as she pushed me through the door. "See you later father!"
As we were leaving, she handed me a piece of paper that appeared to be an address.
"There, grab a taxi and go over there."
"If you don't show up, I'll be telling Dad everything." She said and entered our private car on her own, leaving me behind to call for a cab.
I took the cab and gave him the address, and when I got there, it was a bar.
I was shocked.
People were kissing, even fucking, and everyone on here doesn't give a damn about it. Then I was searching for where Mindzy was when someone grabbed me and it was her.
Her clothes were revealing.
I clearly saw that she was wearing a simple dress, but now she is wearing a fitted dress and is almost showing her chest with scarf-like fur.
"What are you looking at?"
"Get in already," she said to me.
Everyone greeted her like she was the queen of the club or something, that seemed to be her friend, and they were asking who I was, and Mindzy said that I was her maid, and the other friend told her that "Wow, your sister is way prettier than you." and she was pissed, then told me to fuck off, which I did and went to the counter.
I didn't know what to order, but as the barista asked me, I requested a light drink, and as I was waiting, I was getting anxious because I couldn't find Mindzy and I didn't know anyone there, so I was very nervous.
It was already weeks before my wedding, and I didn't even think about how she would be married, and I didn't care.
I just really wanted to get away from what I'm going through now, and I didn't realize that I had had a couple of drinks, but I swear I only had two, and I was sleepy.
Mindzy asked, "Violet, are you all right?"
The vision of Mindzy faded and my last memory was of being alone and in a room, though it was fuzzy and I don't remember what had happened.
I addressed the man who was coming toward me—he smelled good—"Mister, what are you doing?"
He told me to "stay still," but I can't see anything.
I don't object as he started undressing me.
I'll be happy if this is my faith.
Rather than a husband I don't even know, I'd rather let him have it.
I don't know what happened, and I just lay there the whole time as my eyes caught the light that looked like a flash from a camera.
Someone was taking pictures, but I thought maybe it was just because of the alcohol, so I laughed it off and dozed off to sleep while feeling his naked body on top of me.
Mindzy whispered, "Goodbye sister, please take pleasure in being raped."
The next thing I knew I was confined in the room with the man Mindzy hired when she left, and she was humming as she walked to the elevator and was looking at the pictures she had taken.
When she recognized a familiar face, she grinned and turned to head for the elevator.
Mindzy was perplexed but didn't care: "Where is the woman you requested to be taken care of, Miss?"
She was also unsure of who was inside with her stepsister. Mindzy smiled as she walked right past the man leaving him clueless and onto the elevator.
---
It had been two weeks since Dad had returned from a business trip, and there were ten days left until my wedding, so he was excited. I was waiting on the balcony when I saw Dad's car arriving.
Mindzy banged me up quite a bit about how strongly she wanted this wedding, but I allowed her.
Since my dad wed Ilena, I simply decided to cry afterward, and it was awful. This has been my norm.
Even my voice escapes me.
When I walked down, they were modestly seated on the sofa, and I was unable to paint Dad's face.
Is there a problem here?
He got to his feet and walked over to me.
I don't understand it either, but based on what I'm seeing, it's not as good as I anticipated.
He then slapped me, and I was holding my cheek while tears streamed down my face.
"You're acting like a rebel when you're only getting married in 10 days!" he said.
He was yelling at me, "Are you being this disrespectful to yourself?" I recoiled.
Ilena whispered, "Dear, calm yourself.
I said, terrified, "I don't understand..."
He then gave me Mindzy's phone, which was... me.
Some guy was on top of me as we slept together.
"She started missing me on the day I invited her to accompany me, as we dined in the restaurant."
"My friend sent that to me, and I want to settle this matter by asking Dad to confront her." She said, and I was about to slap her when my Dad grabbed me and pushed me, causing me to stumble and fall.
"Dad, that wasn't true," I said, crying, and all of our maids and guards were looking at me.
"There's already proof and you're still going to deny it!" He said
"For once, please listen to me, Dad!" I shouted, and it was the first time, but he didn't have ears at the moment to hear me out.
"You disgrace this family."
"From now on, you'll be no longer my daughter." I was still crying hard for the mistakes I didn't even know I made, but it was me in the picture.
"Please, Dad," I said
"Guards take her away," he said as he shut the main door behind me.
I cried and cried as the guards carried me out of the gates.
Then the rain started pouring as if it knew what I felt.
I had nowhere to go or friends to approach.
I kept on walking and walking, and I no longer knew where I was, but it was a place like where bars are.
Everything went black, and the last thing I knew, I woke up again in an unfamiliar place, and I started to get worried.
"Oh hi, you're already awake," he said, and I pulled the blanket towards my chest out of fear.
"I'm not here to do anything else. I'm just here to help. You're at my house."
"You passed out in front of the bar."
"Are you feeling alright now?" "Here, drink this soup," he says.
I took it with a trembling hand, and as I was drinking it, I started crying because this was the first comfort I had received since my mom died.
"I'm Christian, btw, and you are?" He asked, and I wiped my tears out and said
"I'm Lily."
"Lily Tilford."
