His soft lips lingered on mine for a minute before I had the time to grasp everything.

Everything was too fast and when breath was sucked out of me, I pushed him away.

“Wa-What was that?” I panted, feeling the cold air sweep past me. I shuddered, seeing how Theon’s eyes were on me.”

“Sorry, I wasn’t…I couldn’t resist your laugh.”

I gave him a deadpan look, “That’s why you…kissed me?”

He looked down at me, “I apologize. I was not myself…”

I breathed deeply, looking at him with contempt. I instantly pushed myself out of the water and walked away from him.

I do not know what to say and react so I did what I am best. Leaving the place.

“Saphira!”

He was calling out my name and yet my feet were quick to leave the damn place. My clothes were all wet, and I looked down at my denim jeans all wet and my wet white shirt showing my pink bra.

I bit my lips, now realizing why Theon’s eyes were pierced on me earlier. Damn, that was embarrassing!

But then I was reminded of his actions.

He moved without my permission.

What’s worse is that I am not angry at him. I am more than excited my heart couldn’t stop beating and my cheeks were so hot.

I leaned on the wall behind me, closing my eyes as my mind kept on replaying the kiss.

“Where are you going, miss?” Asked the bodyguard which I recognized as Jeric as soon as I was outside.

He then looked at my drenched clothes. “You’re all wet! Come inside, ma'am!”

“I don’t…want to go back there..yet.”

“But Master Arson might be confused about where you are and why you disappeared.

He might have seen the expression on my face as he sighed.

He then removed his suit and placed it on me. “I’ll get you some towel then.”

I stayed outside as he went inside to get me a towel. I am grateful that he respected my decision to stay here and have time to think for myself. Alone.

I sat by the perfectly cut grass. I didn't realize I was in their gardens with some roses, tulips, and different kinds of flowers all perfectly bloomed.

I envy these flowers. They look like they belong to this place perfectly. They are real. And they suit this place not like some fake like me.

Ten minutes might have passed as I stare at the flowers with jealousy and watched the night sky with admiration.

Jeric then appeared later on with the clean white dry towel. He didn’t say anything and went back inside without a word.

I needed ten minutes more to myself before I went back inside and went to the fireplace.

Theon was nowhere and I am glad because I don’t think I could face him right now.

I saw a fresh set of silk gray pajamas placed on the sofa. I think it might have been Theon who prepared it for me so I changed into it and returned to Arson to find him sleeping well.

I decided to watch over him tonight to clear my head off. I sat by the chair and stroked his head to sleep.

I turned the television on and input the setting into a karaoke. I selected a few child-friendly songs like ABC but Arson seemed bored to it that I chose hype party songs.

Wow, when did he know my number? Why is he texting me when he was just avoiding me?

I raised my eyebrows as if that would scare me.

Instead, I looked for a camera and saw the CCTV. I danced more and twerked in front of the camera, looking at it pointedly.
