Chapter 29: Chapter 29
“Coffee?” Angel asked in an attempt to break the ice between them
“That’s great,” Kyle responded and was about to come with her in the kitchen when his phone rang. Kyle to be excused for some seconds, so he went inside his room. Kyle’s expression became grim at the sight of the person calling him.
“Yes,” He coldly answered the person on the other line.
“Meet the daughter of Sansung tomorrow.” It is the only sentence that the person on the other line said before hanging up the call.
Kyle looked at his phone for a good two minutes. He is sure that the voice came from his father, who still sounds sickly but is obviously now at the right mind as he is back to his usual self again. This is the only way his father communicates with him, giving him orders and bossing him around. This is the life he has, a price to pay for everything inside this expensive penthouse that he gets to enjoy today with the person he likes.
He was about to go out when he received another call, and it was from a different person, but his expression was almost the same-It as Stacy.
“What?” Kyle answered.
“Nothing, just checking up on you,”
Kyle hung up immediately, but she received a message from Stacy right after that says
You will never fool me. I know what you did. I have my eyes on you, and as you know, the only way to get free of me is ...
Kyle’s eyes widen as thoughts about what Stacy might know hunted him. His heart throbs as he sees Angel and his mind runs wild about what Stacy might do to her if she really knows anything. “I will find out if she really knows anything or is just trying to catch a fish with its mouth,” Kyle thought.

It is clearly a nice day to start as the sky turns from dark to light orange. The birds are starting to sing their lovely tunes as if telling everyone that it would be a nice day except for Ange and her confused mind that is currently trying to fit the pieces of what she woke up with and how she ended up in this room.
Angel woke up suddenly at around three in the morning and was confused to see Kyle beside her. She actually thought that last night was a dream, something she might have imagined because of the beer. She is now proven false and is hastily yet slowly picking up every evidence of the night she spent with Kyle in this warm bed.
Angel slowly opened the door and tiptoed her way back to the original room where she should have slept. After closing her door and resting her back on the bed that felt lonely last night, her mind ran wild of thoughts from last night.
Angel is trying her best to fit the pieces together, of what might have triggered the moment Kyle and her shared last night. Is it perhaps because of the beer? But they are both not too drunk. Is it because Kyle was carried away by his emotions last night? Whatever reason it might be, she decided to not act hastily and wait for Kyle to clear things up. She needs to sort out what she feels first before asking for another person to state his idea. Angel decided to spend some time alone and sort her feelings independently before asking Kyle what was on his mind.
It was around six in the morning when Angel decided to call for a cab after confirming on an app that the road going home was now passable. Angel left a note on the table saying that she had an urgent matter to take care of and that she would need to leave early because of it and went on her way in the cold chilly early morning wind.
Kyle woke up at around eight in the morning; hours have passed after Angel was on her way. He sat on his bed, thinking if what happened last night was a dream since he had woken up without Angel on his side. Confused, he gets out of bed, but something hit his feet-it was an earing. Kyle looked at the earring closely and remembered that it was what Angel wore last night. Kyle smiled as he confirmed that what happened last night was not a dream.
Kyle tried to call Angel, but her phone was turned off, so he decided to visit her personally at her house. Kyle found Angel’s note on the table and realized that James had also gone on his way. Kyle rushed out and drove as fast as possible to Angel’s home, but she was not there. Kyle's mind is full of confusion, but above all of his concerns is one thing- that is to say that last night is not a mistake it is something he wanted to happen, he wanted to put the puzzle together and let Angel see everything in plain view- without the mask he kept for years.
Kyle tried to call Angel again and again, but he could not reach her, and he did not know where Angel might be at the moment. Kyle wants to set things straight; he wants to say the truth and declare his feelings. He wanted to be with the person he had been loving secretly, but that thought has been disrupted with a message that he received while running here and there looking for her beloved Angel. The message says,” Be there at lunch.” Kyle suddenly realized where he was standing and what is his goal. He asked himself what the most important thing was at this moment? Is it to be with the one you love or to keep her safe? Kyle decided that it was the latter, so he went on his way and prepared to act as the good, flawless son he was portraying.
