Kira's pov

"Do you know anything about this?" I stared at them, suspiciously.

"No, mom" They both said in unison.

Rhian blinkled while Ryan pouted.

"Alright! Let's go inside" I uttered.

I fixed the flowers in small pot and placed it on the window.

"Go remove your school uniform right away now. Or should I help you guys?" I told the kids who seems to be giggling over something.

"We are going to remove it our self!"

"Okay, let me get your lunch prepared." I spoke then dropped my bag on the couch before going to the kitchen.

I cooked lunch and served the kids then myself. We gathered around the table to eat. We'd prayed before eating.

"Mom, can we go to the amusement park today? Please." Ryan said as he carried his plate to the kitchen and hurriedly came back.

"Actually, I don't really have money on me. But we can go tomorrow. I'd have enough money tomorrow."

"Okay mom. God will provide." Ryan smiled.

I finished eating my food and returned the plates on the table to the kitchen.

Ryan and Rhian had gone to play in the living room. I wish I bought a TV we'd be watching.

But I will soon.

I left the living room to my room and took my bath before changing into something nice.

I sat down on the floor and called Emily.

"Babe! What's up?" She squealed.

"The sky is up." I chuvked at my answer.

"Whatever! How's today's work anyway? Hope you avoid him so well today?" I could picture out that she was smiling sheepishly.

"He didn't come today. Maybe something happened at home." I shrugged.

"Oh okay. How are the kids?"

"They are doing well. Actually, Ryan wants me to take them to the amusement park." I replied.

"And you denied?"

"Yes, I don't have much money on me cause if we get there, they are seriously going to buy many things." I scratched my hair .

Emily laughed and said, "That's how children is. You must be able to take them tomorrow else, they won't let you rest."

"Yeah, sure. I'm going to take them. I actually saw some flowers at my doorstep. I'm still wondering who sent it."

"Huh? Flowers? How come? Who could have dropped it there? Oh! Maybe prince charming is on the way." I heard her giggled.

"Prince charming my foot!"

After much talking, I ended the call. Dropping my phone on the table and lay on my bed.

"Please forgive my brother. He has suffer more than you expected."

Aissh! Why did she have to come beg me?

I really want him to suffer the more but the more I thought of that, the more I pity him again.

He really look miserable.

Kira, you're in a tight corner.

I will forgive him soon. Just soon.

I sighed and closed my eyes to sleep.

Next morning, I woke up and did the usuals.

"Mom, don't forget we'd be going to the park today" Ryan reminded.

"I won't forget. Ryan, is your teacher still threatening you to come pay your school fees?"

"Yes. But she's nice to have let us stay in her class." He replied, swinging his hand to and fro.

"I will be coming today to pay half of the school fees."

"Thanks mom"They said in unison.

I took them to school and promised the teacher that I will be coming to pay half of the money in te afternoon.

I had forgot to bring the money along.

I got to work and peeped at Daniel's office through the glass and saw that his chair was empty before going to my office.

Daniel's pov

"Don't tell me you won't go to work today!?" Dad yelled.

"What do want your staffs to say?" He added.

"Dad, I don't feel to well. You can send Amanda" I groaned.

"Really, Daniel? What's wrong with you?"

"Fine! I'm going, okay?" I got up from the couch and walked to my wardrobe.

I don't know why I feel so frightened whenever I thought of going to the office and I'm going to see Kira there.

I feel nervous too.

"You just look like someone who just got rejected by a girl" Amanda said in a disgusting way as she entered my room.

"What's wrong with my dressing?" I blinked, innocently.

"Is this how to get a tie done? Urgh!" She shook her head and walked to me.

She adjusted the tie on my neck, removed my suit and made me sit on the chair then redid my hair.

"Now, you look so handsome!" She squeaked.

"What are you trying to do, Amy?" I arched my brow at her.

"Nothing. I just don't want the staffs to see their CEO in a pity condition. So, when you get there, you smile and do some sexy moves like this," She winked and pushed her hair then, she bit her lower lip.

"And that's enough. You're running late already." She giggled.

I got up from the chair and grabbed both my briefcase and phone.

"You have to hold your suit just two fingers behind you. Don't wear it. It makes you more sexy"

"Whatever, Amanda! I still don't know what you're up to." I shook my head and climbed the stairs.

"Daniel, won't you eat breakfast?" Mom asked.

"No, I don't feel like eating anything."

"You can't just skip breakfast!" She snapped.

"I know. Bye, mom." I walked outside and was enter the car when Amanda stopped me.

Not again.

"What?"

"Calm down. You forgot to put on this dark shades." She ran to me and out on the shades to my eyes.

"Now, you look good." She grinned amd ran back inside.

Finally, I entered the car and drove to the company.

"Sir, you're here?"

"Omg! He's so handsome!"

I smiled as I walked further to my office and sat down on the chair.

Is Kira around?

"Come In" I said when i heard a knock.

The door got opened, revealing Kira. I gulped seeing her and faced the computer.

"Good morning, this is files you asked me to sign yesterday." She rushed her words.

"Thanks." I collected the files in her hand.

Just as she was about to leave, the door got opened and a lady entered.

She had a mask on but as soon as she got to me, she removed the mask and smiled at me.

My eyes dilated in shock. So as Kira too.

"Nina?" I gasped, standing up from my chair.

"You?" Kira scoffed and ran out of the office.

"You are alive?" I stared at her face closely.

One could see half of her being burnt.

"You expect me to die?"

She laughed and walked closer to me.

"You look hot today, Daniel."
