"Hmm, Really? Are you sure?" I asked, pretending to be thinking about it.

"Yea, I'm sure." He said, lips pursed together as he awaited my reply.

"Alright, I will go." I said and he gave me a relieved smile.

"You won't regret it, I promise." He assured me, as we walked the rest of the distance hand in hand.

The week soon sped off and by Friday, I and Tayo were done with further mathematics, mathematics and chemistry revision. We spent a lot of time together during the week that I felt like it has been a while since I have had a good conversation with Faith and Goriola and, that made me excited about the sleepover.

I got to my feet as the bell for closing hour was rang. I was packing my bag when Tayo said. "So, you guys are going to Faith's this afternoon."

"Yes, it has been a while. I miss her and Kemi." I said.

"Sure, make sure you guys don't talk about me ooh." He said, a mischievous smile on his face.

"Ode, who wants to talk about you." I hissed playfully.

"I know you will." He said, laughing.

"What are you doing this weekend?" I asked him.

"Nothing much but I have a birthday party at the beach tomorrow." He said

"Alright, I would like to warn you that I am very jealous though. So, be careful because I find out you dare cheat on me eehn." I threatened playfully but, I meant it and I wished he would take me seriously.

"Wait, when did we start dating?" He asked.

"Whatever, you know what I mean." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Of course, I know what you mean. Even if you won't admit you love me, you do and you don't want to get hurt." He smirked.

"That's not what I meant." I denied.

"Then what do you mean huh?" He asked, teasing me as he raised an eyebrow.

"Whatever, have fun!" I said, standing up to leave in anger but, he held my hand and sat me back down abruptly.

"You are angry huh? Don't be love and I promise not to look at other girls or cheat on you. I love you too much to do so and I need you to trust me. Okay. " He said and I nodded.

"Do you trust me?” He asked me again.

"Yes." I muttered.

"Good, enjoy your weekend. I will call you." He said pecking me on the forehead as I blushed and look away shyly.

"Let's go." He said, standing up with me as we walked outside the class to join the trio who were discussing about who was at fault in acrimony.

We joined in the discussion on our way and soon the guys got to their stop where they took a bike and we continued to Faith house.

"Oh my goodness, your house is fine ooh." Goriola complimented, as we neared Faith's house.

"Na so, your house is a palace compared to this place." Faith replied Goriola as I clicked on the bell.

"Haha, Itan." The gate keeper said as he opened the gate.

"How are you doing?" I asked

"I dey fine. Good afternoon small madam, Good afternoon." He said, greeting Faith and Goriola.

They exchanged pleasantries as I went ahead. "Kemi." I said rushing to hug her as she laughed at my enthusiasm.

"Your friend didn't stop talking about how you guys are coming over." She said, smiling.

"Goriola, don’t you want to greet me?" She asked.

"Of course not, how are you doing?" She asked, moving closer to hug her while sat down.

"I am fine, I hope you guys aren't hungry yet." She asked, removing the stalk of vegetable that was placed in front of her in a tray.

"Not really." We replied as Faith came back with three cups filled with a deep orange juice.

"So, am I not eligible for drinking juice or why isn’t there a glass for me?" Kemi asked, as she packed the dirt of the vegetables together.

“I am sorry ma, we thought you were to busy to drink juice." Faith whined her.

"What will you guys eat?" She asked, ignoring her.

"I vote your legendary jollof rice and egg." I said, raising up my hand.

"What of that vegetable? " Faith asked.

"It's mum that wants to eat it." She replied.

"Okay, I will go with rice too. Thank goodness there is salad in the refrigerator." She said, happily.

"I will go with the same." Goriola said.

"I want salad too ooh." I added.

“Alright.” She said, moving to the kitchen.

"So, how can I help you." I said, offering my help as I followed her to the kitchen with Faith and Goriola behind me.

"See the person that wants to cook, you people should go johr before you destroy my kitchen." She said laughing.

"We can cook ooh." We protested

"I know but you guys just got back, you should go upstairs, freshen up and change your school uniforms. When food is ready, I will call you." She said, ushering us out of the kitchen.

"Okay, Okay." We said, picking up our bags as we walked up the stairs.

As we got to Faith’s room, we took turns in using the bathroom. I went after Goriola and when I was done, I slipped on a comfortable bum short and big tee. I was on my phone checking through my Facebook feed when Faith came out of the bathroom, she slipped on one of her short silk night gown while Goriola was in a comfortable cotton gown.

"Yahoo girls." Faith started, as we burst into laughter.

"What? am I lying. You guys have been on your phone since we got back." She complained, pouting. “Anyways, it’s weekend so you guys should put your phones away." She said and we obeyed.

"Alright, thank you. What should we do this weekend apart from reading on Saturday." She asked.

"Dunno, maybe watch movies." I suggested.

"That's a nice idea, let's go to the cinema." Faith said, jumping up in excitement.

"I don't have money ooh." I said.

"Who says we are paying. The guys will take us, your boyfriend is kuku loaded." Faith said.

"He is not my boyfriend." I said

"It's a matter of time." Faith scoffed.

"Whatever and besides, just because he has money do not mean we have to help him spend it. It's his, not ours." I complained.

"Don't worry, he isn't paying alone." She said.

"Okay." I said, sighing deeply as she brought out her phone and sent him a message, he replied soon after.

"He said no problem ooh Mrs Adeleke." She teased, while I rolled my eyes at her.

"Whatever. Anyways, how far with Christian sef." I asked.

"We are cool but of course you can't know that because you are too busy cuddling up to a certain guy. I am not complaining anyways, I am happy for you." She said as, I looked away shyly and they both burst into laughter.

"But really, you haven't told us what is happening with you guys. Gist us nah." Goriola said, dropping her phone.

"Nothing much yet, except... " I said trailing off as I smiled shyly.

"Has he kissed you?" Faith asked bluntly.

"No ooh, kiss keh. He only told me he loves me." I said

"OMG!!! And you didn't think that I deserve to know this." She said, hitting me with a pillow while Goriola said "Awwn. So sweet."

"This girl eehn, you will just be making me loose all the juicy gist. Now, tell me how he said it." Faith said.

"Was he blunt about it, shy or romantic. Knowing Tayo, I am sure it would have been romantic because…" She kept ranting as I cut her off and told her the day and how it happened.

"Mad ooh, it's a matter of time before you guys start dating. " Faith said.

"I don’t know, we might not date." I said.

"Keep lying to yourself, we all know that is the truth. Sooner or later you guys will date." She said as my phone started ringing, I picked it up and stared at the screen.

"Lemme guess, it's your boyfriend that is calling you." Goriola said.

"He is not... " I started as Goriola cut me off.

"Don't bother denying it." She said.

"You better pick the call before he ends it." Faith said, as she and Goriola started laughing at me. I rolled my eyes at them and picked up the phone.

"Hello." He said, his voice bringing some kind of warmth to my heart.

"Hi." I said with a racing heart.

"Hi." he replied.

"How was your day?" I asked.

"It’s going fine but you were with me less than two hours ago so you should know. Missed me?” He teased.

"What is are you feeling like and, why will I miss you." I lied, knowing deep down my heart that I missed his presence.

"Hmm. You need a reason; let me see if I can think of one… I got it." He said and I heard his smile in his voice.

"What?" I asked.

"Probably… because I miss you so much that I wish I am there with you right now." He said, while I started blushing like crazy.

" Hmm..." I cleared my throat, unsure of what to say.

"What will we be doing if you are here, you will get bored." I said, finally forming a sentence.

"I will listen to you laugh, watch you smile and even though I can't see your blush. I will see that shy smile of yours you get whenever I tease you." He said, I blushed again.

"I wish I was there to see that blush on your face right now." He said, chuckling lightly.

"How do you know I am blushing?" I asked.

"I know you love; I know what makes you smile, laugh, blush and even frown. You might not know mine but I haven't spent the past three months studying you for nothing." He said. I detected the seriousness in his voice as he added.

"And I can see the wheels turning in your head, you think too much." He said, as I laughed at how right he was.

"Am I right?" He asked, with the confidence of one whom was sure of what he was saying.

"Yes, you are." I said.

"Enough of the heavy, have you eaten?" He asked.

"Not yet, the meal is on fire." I said.

"What are you cooking?" He asked.

"I am not cooking, Kemi is." I said.

"Really? So, you can't help her abi. Lazy youth of today." He muttered, and I could see him shaking his head as I laughed.

"She sent us out of the kitchen." I said, just in time for Kemi to call us to come and eat. Faith and Goriola went ahead as I mouth that I would join them soon.

"So, have you eaten? " I asked with concern, a concern I had never felt towards a person eating or not especially when they have the resource and can eat. It was weird but beautiful in a weird way.

"Nope." He said popping the "p".

"Why?" I asked, the concern spreading through me as I felt a surge of annoyance came over me and I wished I could teleport to wherever he was and force him to eat.

"Too lazy to stand up and Bode is asleep." He replied simply.

"Ooh, are you at his place?" I asked.

"No, we are at my house." He said

"Then I suggest you stand up and get something to eat." I said, praying he will listen to me because I was a bit worried.

"I am not really hungry and besides, why are you so worried about me eating." He asked.

"Because, if you don't eat. You can get sick. Also, it could...." I started before he cut me off.

"Are you worried." He asked me.

"Hmm... Yes." I replied truthfully.

"Hmm, well it's an achievement and you can't imagine how much joy I feel that you actually care enough to worry about me so I will eat immediately we are done talking." He promised as I blushed for the thousandth time.

"If only you knew how much I care." I thought to myself.

"Okay, so I should probably go now so you can go and eat." I said looking for an excuse before I say something stupid like " I love you." or some deep confession of my feelings.

"No, don't go yet. I love listening to your voice, It's like music to my ears." He said.

"Liar, liar pants on fire. Please leave me jare, I want to go and eat my jollof rice before it gets cold." I said, remembering I had to go and eat.

"So jollof rice is more important than I am abi?" He asked.

"Yes ooh, it is ooh." I said, playfully.

"That is sad, my ego is bruised." He said, pretending to be hurt.

"You don't even have one." I retorted, playfully.

"Mad ooh, that's a huge blow. It hurts a lot." He said and, I felt bad knowing it was wrong to have said it.

" I am sorry." I apologized.

"Why are you sorry?" He asked me.

"For saying you have no ego." I said.

"Ooh, it's alright. You should go and eat your meal now though; I will get something to eat also. We will chat at night. Make sure you come online ooh." He said. I nodded my head before I realize he cannot see me.

"Sure, no problem. Talk to you later, bye." I said.

"I love you." He said as, I blushed and ended the call.
