Chapter 16: Chapter 16

"Ah, shit! Why did the Prince choose to go to Lady Rania's residence instead of accompanying me around the palace? Did he forget that I'm the one who will be his best companion in the future?" Trisya grumbled while pacing the backyard of her residence after reading the letter from her brother.

Yesterday, Trisya had just sent a letter to Darian, asking her brother to persuade Prince Terry to accompany Trisya for a walk around the palace this afternoon. And this afternoon, Trisya got some bad news from her brother, who informed her that Prince Terry would be visiting the Morsche residence - Lady Rania's family residence today.

"Lady, you'd better not get angry or speak harshly! Duke and Duchess will be angry if they hear it," Layla said trying to calm her lady.

"Shut up, Layla! If you don't know anything, you should shut up! Don't you know how inferior I am? I'm the daughter of a Duke, and the King even wants me to be his daughter-in-law. But how could Prince Terry refuse my invitation to go for a walk together just for the sake of a noble princess of a lower caste than me?" snapped Trisya.

"Ah yes. You're just a lowly person, so you'll never understand how it hurts when you're put down when you're high, right? Yes, that's because you were born as a lower-class citizen!" Trisya accused.

"L- Lady ... please forgive me, My Lady." It was Layla's habit to end up apologizing even if she didn't feel wronged. Her lady did have a high temper. Especially after Duke Gerald's daughter had fallen for the Prince who already had another girl.

"Ahhh!!! Your presence here only makes me dizzy. I'll ask Mother to replace your position as soon as possible. I don't want to see you in this residence. Your presence is of no use to me at all," Trisya snapped. Then, the Duke's daughter left.

"Lady, where are you going?" Layla chased after Trisya, wanting to make sure that the young girl did not do anything that would harm herself.

"I'll catch up with Prince Terry at Count Morsche's family residence anyway," Trisya replied.

"What? But, isn't the relationship between the Morsche Family and the Lovatta Family not very good? What if-"

"My older brother is there, Layla. Count Morsche's family residence isn't far from the Aston residence anyway. He definitely won't let me be in trouble alone. If you don't want to go, stay! I don't like it when you're just going to keep giving me trouble like always!" snapped Trisya.

Then, time seemed to fly by. Trisya arrived at the Morsche Family residence, seeing the Prince walking around with Lady Rania, with Darian following behind. Her heart burned with jealousy. She walked quickly, ignoring Layla who tried to prevent her, then pushed Lady Rania hard until the girl of her age fell witnessed by Prince Terry.

"You slutty girl! Who do you think you are, how dare you approach the man I love?!" snapped Trisya as she pointed at Lady Rania with anger.

"Lady? Lady, are you alright?" Trisya was a little confused when she saw Layla worrying about her. Prince Terry and Darian's words seemed to be muffled by the words of Layla who was shaking Trisya's arm.

"I'm fine. What's wrong?" Trisya was confused.

"Lady, wake up! You'll be late for the dining room if you don't wake up soon," Layla said.

Trisya cried out not understanding. However, Layla's movement to shake her arm felt stronger and stronger, until it felt like Trisya was being pulled into another realm. And once her eyes opened again, Trisya was shocked when she saw her condition lying down while staring at the roof of her room.

"Lady, you're awake, right? I have prepared warm water. Hurry up and clean yourself up, Lady! Lady woke up a little late this morning. You don't want to be late for breakfast with the Duke and Duchess, right?" Layla reminded.

Trisya was silent for a moment. Her brain seemed to go blank. However, a few seconds later, she immediately breathed a sigh of relief. 'So, that ridiculous thing was just a dream, right?' the girl thought.

"Hahahah... of course. After all, how could I say such disgusting things? What did I say? The man I love? Him? Cih... just remembering him makes me want to vomit all of a sudden," Trisya blurted out unconsciously as if she had forgotten that there were other people in this room besides her.

The two maids who were preparing Trisya's equipment, as well as Layla, were stunned looking at Trisya who was now sitting on the bed. Realizing that she was being watched, Trisya immediately turned her head. "Why?"

The two maids who were preparing Trisya's clothes earlier returned to busying themselves, while Layla cleared her throat awkwardly. Inevitably, she had to respond to Trisya's words.

"Did you feel nauseous, My Lady? Do you want to vomit? Then let me-"

"Layla, those are just fancy words. I don't want to throw up," Trisya cut in. It seemed Layla was taking Trisya's words too seriously.

"Ah... you aren't sick, right?" asked Layla.

"No, I'm not. I'm fine. Alright, then I'll go take a shower right now," Trisya broke off.

Trisya walked towards the bathroom happily. She was relieved that what she found so disgusting was just a dream.

Yes, it was. Maybe Trisya in the novel "Lady Rania and The Crown Prince" could have done that. But, not the current Trisya. The Trisya of today is much more dignified and holds her pride in high regard. There's no way she would hit a noble princess just because of a man named Terry Iscorra.

After bathing, Trisya was helped to get ready by Layla. However, when Trisya was focusing on her hairdo that was being done by Layla, a maid came in with a letter for her.

"Excuse me, Lady. I apologize if I disturbed you. I just came to deliver this letter to you," said the maid.

"Wow... what is this? From whom?" asked Trisya.

"From Lord Darian, Lady." Trisya immediately accepted the letter, though with her eyebrows knitted together.

"Wait a minute! What are you sending me a letter for this early in the morning?" Trisya asked.

"You'd better open it immediately, Lady, while I do your hair. Who knows if there's something important that Young Master wants to tell you," Layla suggested.

That's right! Layla was indeed this kind and gentle. Just like a big sister who loves her little sister. How could Trisya in the novel hate her so much and often demean her?

"Ah, you're right. Well let's see what my brother wants to tell me!" said Trisya, while starting to open the official envelope.

Trisya began to read her brother's neat handwriting typical of an educated nobleman carefully. She thought Darian was going to tell her something about the man's condition, or something like that. But apparently, Triysa was wrong. There were several sentences that made Trisya have to read them several times so that she did not misunderstand the meaning.

'But, there still seems to be something wrong here,' Trisya thought.

"How is it, Lady? Did Young Master Darian say something serious?" asked Layla worriedly. Layla did love all the Lovatta family members and considered them as her own family.

"Is this letter really written by my brother? It's not a prank or anything, right? I can't believe that he would suddenly discuss something like this," wondered Trisya.

"Huh? War? Is there going to be a war, Miss?" gasped Layla.

"Ish, prank, not war. It's different, Layla," Trisya corrected.

"Prank? What's that?" asked Layla innocently.

Trisya rubbed her face roughly. She had forgotten that she was currently lost in medieval times, where many terms had not yet been invented this year.

"Prank is like... a prankster who intends to play a prank on someone else. You know?"

"Ah, is that so?" It seemed like Layla immediately understood just by Trisya explaining it once. "But, who would dare to prank you, Lady? I'm sure it's Young Master's writing. His writing is very distinctive, Lady. Indeed, what did he tell you?"

Trisya's shoulders slumped. The twinkle in the young girl's eyes faded.

"Is it something bad, Lady?"

"Yes. It's very bad, Layla," Trisya answered Layla's question, making Layla suddenly move to Trisya's side and look at her lady with worry.

"Really? What happened? What did Young Master tell you?" asked Layla.

"My brother told me that he invited me to the palace because he and Prince Terry will be at the palace all day, and wanted to take me for a walk around the palace gardens with Prince Terry's permission," explained Trisya.

"Well... isn't that very nice? Then where's the bad news, Lady?" puzzled Layla.

Trisya wanted to cry. Even if she wanted to explain, Layla would most likely not understand her words. "You won't understand how much I don't want to visit that old building again, Layla. Let alone walk around the garden? It's like I have a trauma."

'You don't know how bad my dream was last night, Layla. And you never will,' Trisya continued silently. The girl had a pitiable look on her face. Was there no longer time for her to reply to her brother's message with a rejection?

"Lady, do you mean the old building is a palace? Gosh, Lady, not again!" Layla also wanted to go crazy if she saw and heard Triysa who looked very desperate every time she talked about the members in the palace.

They could get into big trouble if Triysa got into the habit of saying such nasty things in front of the public!
