Chapter 86: Chapter 86
Alex pov.
After we both started walking, I couldn't help but hold onto William's arm tightly, and soon we arrived at the castle.
"Why did you leave without telling me?" I heard him say, his voice filled with a mix of curiosity and concern, as I turned to look at him.
"Well, I thought you needed some time alone," I replied, trying to explain my actions.
Upon hearing my response, he gently turned me around, his strong grip enveloping my hands, and locked his gaze with mine.
"You're going to be my Luna soon, so why don't you start acting like one?" he said, his tone both gentle and commanding.
I pulled my hands away from his, feeling a surge of frustration rise within me, as I continued to stare at him intently.
"Well, you never stop thinking about her, so how am I supposed to feel comfortable telling you that I want to take a walk outside the castle?" I shouted, my voice echoing through the empty halls. Realizing the intensity of my outburst, I took a deep breath and glanced up at William, who had managed to regain some composure, looking back at me with a softened expression.
"I'm sorry," he whispered softly, his words barely audible. I couldn't help but reach out and touch his face gently, my hand lingering on his cheek as I found myself unable to look away.
"Why don't you just forget about her? I'm your Luna now, and I can bear your children and make you happy. Can't you see how much I love you?" I pleaded, my voice filled with a mixture of desperation and affection.
He raised his hands, mirroring my own as he gently placed them over mine, which were still resting on his face. I could see a profound sadness in his eyes, and it pained me to witness his internal struggle.
"I've tried everything to forget about her, but no matter what I do, her image continues to haunt my mind. I don't know how to make it stop," he confessed, his voice tinged with a sense of helplessness.
Seeing him in this vulnerable state, I knew it wouldn't be easy for him to let go of Sierra's memory. Nevertheless, I was determined to do whatever it took to make him forget and focus only on me.
"Then why don't you stay with me for a while? Let me help you forget about her," I suggested, gently squeezing his hands as I guided him towards our bedroom. I held onto the hope that if I played my part diligently, I could eventually replace her in his heart and mind.
Three months later...
Well, what can I say? Three months have passed, and there's still no sign of Sierra. I guess this day just keeps getting better.
Lately, I've been feeling weak and down. I've tried everything to figure out what's wrong with me. Williams tried calling the pack doctor, but I stopped him and lied, saying I was okay.
I've been experiencing vomiting and excessive sleepiness. Most of the time, I feel too lethargic to even get out of bed and walk.
They've assigned a maid to look after me, but I often ask them to leave. I don't feel like I need any help from them.
One night, I woke up with intense pain that made me feel like I might faint or even die. My heart was racing, and my mind was in disarray.
I looked beside me and noticed Williams was not in bed. I wondered where he could have gone at such a late hour.
Summoning whatever strength I had left, I slowly got up and made my way to the door, opening it and stepping into the hallway.
The pain made it difficult for me to walk quickly, and with a loud scream, I collapsed to the floor, unable to stand any longer.
I could see most of the maids rushing towards me, and I yelled at them to get Williams.
It didn't take long before William arrived and picked me up, his eyes filled with concern.
"Hold on, let me get you to the hospital."
He carried me out of the castle and gently placed me in his car. Without wasting any time, he drove us to the hospital.
Amidst the agony in my stomach, I prayed that it wouldn't destroy me.
After arriving at the hospital, William swiftly took me out of the car and rushed inside, calling for the pack doctor, who appeared promptly to assess the situation.
He laid me down on a bed and exchanged concerned glances with William.
"Can you please determine what's wrong with her?"
The doctor nodded and began examining me while I felt weak, fighting the urge to close my eyes.
Why am I suddenly so weak? And why is my stomach tormenting me like this? Without a second thought, I closed my eyes, succumbing to darkness.
When I woke up, I noticed the pristine whiteness of my surroundings. I sat up slightly, looking around. I was still in the hospital, but where was Williams? And where was the doctor?
Resting my head back on the pillow, I decided to relax for a while. The pain had subsided, and I felt a glimmer of happiness.
As I sat there, waiting for Williams or the doctor to return, I wondered what was taking them so long.
I took a moment to unwind further, anticipating their arrival. After a few minutes, the door swung open, revealing Williams and the pack doctor walking in.
"You're awake," William said, and I nodded, smiling in response.
Turning to face the pack doctor, I looked at him and spoke, curiosity tinged with concern in my voice.
"What happened to me? Why was I in so much pain? Is something wrong with me?"
Seeing the doctor smile at me, I felt an inexplicable urge to wipe that smile off his face. The only person allowed to smile at me is William.
"No, Luna, you're okay. In fact, you'll be thrilled to hear the news I'm about to share."
I looked at him, unable to find the words, then turned to gaze at William.
"Is something wrong?" I asked, my eyes searching his face.
He smiled and nodded, assuring me that nothing was wrong. The pack doctor stepped forward and began to speak.
"It is a great honor to tell you this, Luna, but you are three months pregnant."
Just hearing that, I felt so happy. Now, William is all mine.
