Chapter 61: Chapter 61
Henry pov.
After Alex left, I was extremely angry. However, I decided not to show it, even though just seeing the way she spoke to Sierra was getting on my nerves.
I kept my anger bottled up inside, determined not to let it out and do something unexpected.
Sierra and I entered the house together, and I quickly came up with a lie about needing to fetch some items.
I knew that if she found out I was going to the castle, she wouldn't allow me.
I stepped out of the house, my anger still simmering within me as I made my way towards the castle.
When I arrived, I took a moment to observe it. I knew I had been banned from entering the castle, but I couldn't let them keep coming to Sierra and making her sad.
As I opened the gate and walked into the castle, I noticed all the maids stopping what they were all doing and staring at me. I marched forward with a scowl on my face. Just as I was about to reach for the castle door handle, it swung open, and William walked out.
I could see the hatred, anger, and confusion in his eyes as he looked at me.
"Why are you here?" he asked, but I wasn't in the mood for small talk. I approached him with my hands raised and delivered a punch to his face.
"How dare you?" I yelled at him as he grabbed me by my shirt.
"Listen, Henry. I don't care that you're my friend and my beta. I won't allow you to come here and start a fight. If you don't want any more trouble, just leave now while you still have the chance."
As he pushed me to the ground, I stood up with a chuckle escaping my lips. Anger still etched on my face, I walked towards him.
"You're the most foolish Alpha I've ever encountered, William. You were never like this. Everything that's happening feels like a dream to me. I thought you were brave, bold, and intelligent, but now I can see how stupid you are. I only came here to warn you, to tell your Luna to stay away from Sierra. If she hurts her again, I will be the one to kill her myself."
As I turned to walk away, he yelled, stopping me dead in my tracks.
"Then why are you telling me?" he exclaimed, his voice piercing through the air, halting my every movement.
"You should be telling the Luna yourself," I could sense the bitterness laced in his words. "Since you and Sierra are lovebirds now," his tone dripping with disdain, "don't involve me in any of your issues."
I couldn't believe my ears. Shocked and bewildered, his words struck me like a thunderbolt, leaving me speechless. The fact that he didn't perceive Sierra as anything significant left me reeling.
We stood there, our eyes locked together, a battle of wills taking place in the depths of our gaze. In that intense moment, a surge of emotions engulfed me, and an unsettling vision crossed my mind—how satisfying it would be to gouge out his eyes.
"Well, you're right, Alpha," I retorted, masking my anger behind a sly smile. "Why should you even care when you already have another Luna in your care?" I paused, emphasizing each word. "It's just sad to see the true beast inside you. Your life turned out this way not by mistake, but because you'll always be like your father—the rude Alpha everyone once knew."
I didn't care if my words cut him like a knife. I yearned for him to grasp the pain of hurting someone who had risked her life to save him.
Suddenly, he seized me by my shirt, his grip firm and unwavering, and stared me down with fierce intensity.
"What did you just say?" His voice trembled with a mix of anger and confusion, demanding an explanation. Yet, I couldn't help but chuckle at his reaction, finding amusement in his momentary vulnerability.
"Are you hurt, Alpha?" I taunted, a smirk playing on my lips.
Enraged, he forcefully pushed me against the wall, a sharp jolt of pain surging through my body. As I winced, he approached me, his hands gripping my shirt tightly, elevating me once again.
"You don't know me. I'm not like my father, and I'll never be like him," he declared vehemently, his eyes burning with defiance.
In that charged moment, as his glare bore into my face, a peculiar sensation washed over me. Strangely, I felt a flicker of joy witnessing his anguish. I wanted him to taste the bitterness of regret, just as Sierra had.
"Alpha, you know I'm speaking the truth," I proclaimed, my voice oozing confidence, the smile on my face unyielding. "You never wanted to be like your father, but here you are, doing worse than him."
With a swift, forceful blow, he struck me in the face, the impact reverberating through my skull, threatening to dislodge my teeth. Pain exploded across my cheek, but I refused to let it break my spirit.
"I am different from my father—I am a better Alpha, and I'm doing the right thing." I pull myself even closer to him, our eyes locked, my face covered in blood.
"Then, if you don't want to be like your father, do what's right and don't let your kingdom be destroyed." Just as I say that, I am abruptly halted in my tracks as he tightly grips my hands.
"You came into the Alpha house, insulted him, and humiliated him. I have no choice but to punish you." His words echo, but I can't help but laugh, thinking he's playing a cruel joke.
"Really, Alpha? You want to punish me? Because I spoke the truth? You should be feeling guilty about what you've done. You've committed a heinous crime that no one can ever forgive." I stand my ground, defiance shining in my eyes.
Then, with a swift motion, he raises his hands, and his guards swiftly surround me, their presence intimidating. They forcefully drag me away by the hands.
"Take this traitor out of my sight. I never want to see his face again." As the guards prepare to drag me out, I turn and shout, my voice echoing.
"You will never have her in your life again!"
With that, I am forcibly dragged away, my protests futile. Before I comprehend what's happening, I find myself violently thrown into a cold, desolate cell.
