Chapter 81: Chapter 81
Storm POV
A few months have passed since my sister and I went to another country. I thought she would be fine but it seems I was wrong. Since we arrived here, Kiara has always been stunned as if she was deep in thought, she has also become quiet and doesn't speak much anymore. As for her pregnancy, her OB said it's going well, but I still need to watch my sister because she's not in a good state. She has tried to hurt herself several times so I can't leave her.
Uncle Cain always called me and informed me about what is happening in the company. I wanted to tell him my real reason but I can't at this moment. I know they are our family too, but I don't want it to be unfair if I tell him the truth and not to Aunt Calliyah and Uncle Dark.
The days passed by so quickly, it seems like a long time ago that my sister and I were living quietly in the Philippines and now she is about to give birth. I didn't leave her because I knew she needed me even though sometimes it was painful to see how much she had changed but I didn't make her feel that she was alone. I will always stand by her side because I know that's what my parents want. Other than her OB, there is also a doctor who checks her condition to make sure she is safe. I don't care if I spend a lot because my sister is more important.
And now Bea is next to me because she visited here so she is with me now. She comes here almost twice a month.
"Sir, Sir." one of our maids shouted so I stood up.
"What happened?" I asked her.
"Ma'am Kiara is about to give birth,"
I didn't pay attention to the rest of what she was saying and I ran to my sister's room. When I entered, I saw her crying while writhing in pain.
"B-brother," she called my name. "It hurts,"
"Hold on baby, we'll go to the hospital," I said and then picked her up. I won't have any problems because I made sure that she had everything she needed for the birth. I quickly put her in the car.
"Are you sure you can still drive?" Bea asked me.
"I am," I answered.
"Tell me that when you calm down, think about your sister. If you can't drive, let me do it,"
I shook my head. "I can do it, go ahead and go inside. Kiara needs you."She nodded and sat next to Kiara who was still crying.
I got inside and started the car. I took a deep breath before driving. I need to calm down.
"K-Kiara, just bear with it. I know it hurts, but you can do it. Imagine that you will see your baby. Okay?" I heard Bea talking to my sister.
"I d-didn't know that giving birth is so painful," Kiara hesitantly promised.
"You're a strong woman Kiara, all the pain will be worth it when you see your baby,"
I just let them talk, I don't know much about childbirth, the only thing I know is it's painful. Fortunately, Bea happened to be here so I had someone with me.
When we got to the hospital, my sister was taken care of quickly while we were left outside.
"Calm down baby, everything will be alright," Bea said and held my hands.
"W-what if Ki can't handle the pain? She's alone inside," I said.
"The doctors won't leave her alone. Okay? Let's just pray that she and the baby will be safe,"
I didn't talk and remained silent, I was nervous for my sister. I just hope that both my nephew and I will be safe.
A few minutes passed and I just went back outside the door to wait for a doctor to come out but there was still no one until it took an hour so the fear I felt was more dominant. "Does it take that long to give birth?" I asked Bea who just sat quietly.
"Calm down and sit here Storm, what you're doing makes me even dizzier than waiting for the doctor," she said and then pulled me.
"I'm nervous, why is it taking so long?" I asked.
She sighed. "Some give birth for almost how many hours, so wait. It's not easy to bring out a child,"
"It's because foot ---,"
"Shut up Alcantara!" she didn't even let me finish what I was going to say. I just snorted while looking at her and she just glared at me, so I couldn't do anything but wait.
Later, we heard a child cry and at the same time the door opened, so Bea and I stood up together.
"Congratulations Sir, you're sister gave birth to a handsome boy,"
I smiled because of that. "How is my sister, doc?" I asked.
"She's okay, she just fell asleep after giving birth because she was tired. Later we'll take her to the private room and we'll follow the baby,"
I breathed a sigh of relief to what the doctor said. "My Kiara and the baby are safe now," I almost whispered. I felt Bea hugging me.
"I told you, everything will be fine," she said.
