Nigel POV

It's been a month since I got out of the hospital and I fixed the family I have. I also told Storm that I intend to propose to Kiara again and fortunately, she agreed. I thought at first that he would not trust me with his brother.

I have also bought a house for us but I haven't told Kiara about it yet. After all, I plan to move when we get married, because I don't want what happened before to happen again. I promised that whatever disagreements we have, we need to talk about it first, and we need to trust each other.

"What's wrong with you? You're so pale," Storm laughed at me because he is with me.

"Because I'm nervous, what if your sister doesn't come?" I said.

"If she doesn't go, no proposal will happen, it's that simple,"

"Damn you!"

He laughed. "Just calm down, because you thought something bad was going to happen. Besides, Aunt Caliyah is with Kiara, so it's unlikely that it won't make it here. It's like this thing is new to you, you've already proposed to my sister before. you were just stupid,"

"I already regretted that thing, that's why I'm here now to propose again,"

I saw Dad coming closer to me. "Your Mom will be here any minute, what Kiara knows is that they have a party to go to." I breathed a sigh of relief because of what he said.

"Thanks, Dad, I've been nervous for a while now so I want to call Mom but this jerk is stopping me," I said.

"You're just afraid that you won't see my sister's face here, it's like you don't trust Aunt Calli," Storm said.

"You know, son, you don't need to be nervous about something like this," Dad said.

Later someone called Dad and then he told us that Mom was already outside so I got even more nervous.

"Pull yourself, Nigel, you look stupid." Storm teases me even more.

"Let's change the situation so you can feel it too," I said annoyed.

"What do you want me to propose to my sister? That's gross!"

"Damn you!" I snort at him and just laugh out loud. This friend of mine is infected with Bea.

Kiara POV

We just arrived at the place where the party will be held, I don't even know what's going on here because Aunt Calliyah just invited me, I couldn't refuse her so I just went along.

"Auntie, what kind of party is this? " I asked her.

She smiled at me. "It's a special event, my dear," She answered me.

I didn't speak anymore and just followed her inside, I don't know why I've been feeling nervous for no reason. Even this morning, Nigel didn't make me feel well, so my brother left early and took my son with him.

When I entered, I quickly covered my eyes with my hand because suddenly the place where I was was lightened up and I was dazzled. I heard the applause of the people there so I looked at them and I could see their smiles. Almost all of my family's business partners and Nigel's family are here.

I quickly clung to Aunt Alliyah's arm. "Auntie, what's going on? It's embarrassing." I whispered to her.

"Don't be my dear, as I told you today is special. So don't be nervous, okay?" after she said that she walked away next to me and the music started playing. All I could do was bow down because of shame.

"Good evening everyone. I just want to thank everyone here today because you accepted our invitation. I want you to be one of the witnesses of this important day for us." I looked because I heard Nigel's voice, I saw him standing at the top of the stage carrying our son.

Later he smiled at me and slowly went down. Uncle Dark took Chase from him.  I still don't understand what's going on.

"Babe, I know we've been through a lot of problems and ended up being separated. We've both been hurt but I know that I hurt you more and to this day I still can't forget what I did to turn my back on you especially when it was most needed. I'm sorry, I let my emotions go too far." I cried because of the words he said.

When he got close to me he wiped the tears from my eyes. I even whispered to him what was wrong but he just smiled at me. "Kiara, I know I'm not perfect. And I can't promise that I won't hurt you again because even if we have a misunderstanding or fight, I'm sure I'll hurt you, but can you understand me? Ki, I will never get tired of apologizing to you for what I did. It was not easy for me to push you away during that time but that was the only way I could think of so that I wouldn't hurt you too much and I regret it, s-too much. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. Do you remember the last time we talked? W-when you went to the condo because you had something to say to me, but I just got narrow-minded. I followed you because I couldn't let you go, but when I came out you were gone. I thought you took your car and went home but I was wrong. I-I know that night is the worst thing that you experienced and gives you trauma, I won't tell you the whole incident because I don't want you to remember that thing again. B-babe I'm so proud of you, because... you fought well, you were able to overcome that thing alone." his tears started to flow.

"A-and I will always be thankful to God that he gave you to me and he added one more and that is our son. I can also say that I am very lucky because he gave me the family I'm dreaming of even if I have not become a good person. T-thank you for forgiving me and giving us a chance. I won't repeat the mistake I made. And because we broke up everything was invalid before and I would like to repeat this to you again. I love you so much Princess Kiara Alcantara, will you be Mrs. Monteverde? Will you marry me?" After he said that, he took a red box from his pocket and knelt.

"Say yes mommy, I'm here now. You've made me so you should get married." I was surprised because of my son's sudden scream at the same time as the people with us laughed, I'm sure it was my brother who taught him that.

I cried as I nodded to him. "Y-yes, I will always be willing to marry you, Nigel." He smiled at me and put the ring on my finger. He stood up and hugged me tightly.
