Chapter 604: Chapter 604

Soon, the Mythical Mechanic Godslayer tore through the void, apparently returning from eliminating the foreign enemy that had illegally invaded Stellar Moon. The Republic’s higher-ups breathed a sigh of relief. However, they didn’t realize that Godslayer’s thoughts and mentality had already undergone certain changes now.

Godslayer possessed combat power close to that of a Primary Divine. The Republic’s higher-ups would never have thought that he could still be bewitched.

The only remaining Primary-Divine level beings in Stellar Moon, who were the Tree Monarch and the Chaos Dragon God, were not experts in mental control. The possibility of an alien like Lu Ran being a Primary-Divine level combatant proficient in mental control was even more unlikely. Coincidentally, Lu Ran’s situation was pretty much exactly that.

Although Dark Crow’s species rank had not reached the Primary-Divine level, it was no less than a peak Evil God’s. Coupled with Lu Ran’s King buff, which enhanced the persuasiveness of his words, and him using Six-Path Flower’s Alignment Perception ability to dig out Godslayer’s mental weakness, the targeted approach really wasn’t much different from Primary-Divine level bewitchment.

Everything returned to calm, as if Lu Ran had never appeared.

Within days, however, Stellar Moon Republic’s higher-ups discovered an incident. The Primary Divine Research Institute had vanished into thin air. No alarms were triggered. The other mechanics who had leadership authority over the research institute also didn’t notice. The only one who could bypass so many intelligent lifeforms and accomplish this undetected was Godslayer.

Many Republic higher-ups jointly questioned Godslayer. “Godslayer, we need an explanation.”

Seven optical screens appeared around Godslayer. Behind the light screens were men and women.

Godslayer remained very calm and said, “The previous enemy came for the Mechanical God. The Primary Divine Research Institute’s current location is unsafe, so I had to relocate the research institute.”

“Why didn’t you discuss it with us?” A high-ranking official in the Republic, behind a light screen, questioned.

“That person’s strength was considerable. Currently, within the Republic, I am the only one with the ability to resist them. The more people who know about matters related to the research institute, the less safe it becomes.”

Although the Republic's higher-ups were dissatisfied with Godslayer’s explanation, they had no other choice.

“Eliminate the danger as soon as possible. Do not affect the Mechanical God plan.”

They could only let Godslayer proceed. Most importantly, the Republic didn’t believe Godslayer would betray the nation. After all, they had watched Godslayer grow up since he was an infant. All of Godslayer’s behavioral logic would stem from the position of humanity and the nation.

When Godslayer dived into the void again, Lu Ran was already sitting in the Divine Void Court with his legs crossed, being well served by the mantis.

Using various tokens, Lu Ran had captured the hiding void mantis and made it acknowledge his identity. Whether as a messenger of time or a Divine Dragon messenger, he could easily fool the void mantis. With the Void God’s guarantee, Godslayer believed in Lu Ran’s identity even more.

“I have stored all the energy, core materials, basic materials, and blueprints for the Mechanical God in a certain mechanical space. However, I cannot hand them over to you for destruction until you fulfill your promise,” Godslayer said to Lu Ran within the Divine Void Court.

“Fair enough.” Lu Ran smiled slightly.

Dark Crow’s role was bewitchment, not turning the target into an obedient slave, as that would require a terrifyingly powerful force. So, to get what he wanted, Lu Ran had to meet specific conditions and make a transaction with Godslayer.

“I will first deal with the three aliens who want to invade Stellar Moon for you. After fulfilling this promise, you will hand over the production materials, blueprints, and concepts of the Mechanical God to me for personal destruction.

“After destroying the Mechanical God, I will then eliminate the Tree Monarch and the Chaos Dragon God, ensuring a balance of power between the plant gods, beast gods, and humans, without an overwhelming apocalyptic combatant like a Primary Divine. To eliminate the Primary Divines, I will need to borrow the Divine Dragon’s power and need time to prepare. I will do that last.”

Godslayer nodded. "I will go to outer space with you and observe your battle with those three aliens throughout.”

Lu Ran rubbed his chin. “No problem, if you do that, won’t your transaction with me be exposed? You already told the Republic you killed me, right? And the traces of those three aliens should also be constantly monitored by the Republic.”

“You don’t need to worry about that.” Godslayer took a deep breath.

Then, to Lu Ran’s surprise, his body quickly began to change, transforming from a white-haired youth into a curvaceous white-haired woman.

“Whoa, what’s going on with you?” Lu Ran was stunned.

How the fuck can you change gender, too?

“I am a mechanical artificial human, without gender. I only have two forms. The male form possesses the combat power of a Mythical Mechanic. The female form is more inclined towards management, possessing top-level permissions in the Republic’s technological fields. I can temporarily block the Republic’s monitoring of outer space.”

Lu Ran was slightly taken aback. “That’s cool... Well, alright then. Do you have information on those three aliens? Give it to me.”

The female Godslayer nodded.

A screen appeared in front of Lu Ran. On the screen, there was a wreckage of a battleship that was huge. Although it was extremely damaged, one could still see its past greatness.

On the huge cosmic battleship, there was an emblem. It was a black bull’s head with a pair of demonic-looking bull horns. Read full story at nοvelfire.net

Outside the battleship were three aliens wearing white combat uniforms with blue patterns. There were two men and one woman. They looked humanoid but were somewhat different.

One old man had red skin all over that constantly emitted heat. Another middle-aged man had green scales covering his face. It was unknown if he had similar scales under his clothes. As for the last woman, she eerily had seven eyes on her face.

“Their battleship was already in a state of wreckage when it flew into Stellar Moon’s outer space, as if it had encountered some cosmic disaster. The Republic’s preliminary judgment is that they are from a mixed civilization, a unit from a more advanced civilization in the cosmos.

“In fact, initially, they also claimed to have encountered an unknown disaster. By the time they reacted, they were already in an unfamiliar part of space, as if teleported by some special force.

“They requested entry into the Republic for recuperation. However, the Republic’s Legendary oracle machine started up and claimed these three would bring destructive disaster to the Republic, so their entry was refused.

“Afterwards, these three tried to force their way in. So far, they have been blocked outside by the Stellar Moon World’s protective ring. They are very strong. Each of them has power close to that of a Primary Divine, and they cultivate different types of power.

“For example, that old man has infinite physical strength. With physical power alone, he can crack Stellar Moon World’s protective ring. His skills resemble martial arts, seen in films and TV shows.

“And that scaled man seems like a mixed-blood human, with dragon species traits. He can also freely switch between human and dragon forms.

“As for that woman, she also made a move once. Her ability is similar to magic. The energy beam she released actually turned the Republic’s outward dispatched detection ship into a cake, and then she proceeded to eat it. Her power is completely unanalyzable.

“Frankly, I am only confident in dealing with one of them. But if I have to deal with all three simultaneously, I’d be a goner. Plus, it’s unknown if they have other trump cards or helpers. Therefore, the Republic is anxious to develop the Mechanical God. Relying on the protective ring powered by absorbing spatial energy to resist foreign enemies... it won’t hold for many years.

“Can you deal with these three?” Godslayer looked at Lu Ran.

“Easy peezy.” Lu Ran glanced at Godslayer nonchalantly, but he was mumbling mentally.

Where did these three come from? Powerful individuals from other civilizations escaping from the black mist? But these three have such different ability styles... their powers are weird. Or is there a super legion in the destroyed universe that can command powerful individuals from multiple civilizations?

Lu Ran couldn’t be sure about the opponent’s strength, but he had already boasted, so he couldn’t refuse the fight. As long as the opponent’s strength hadn’t reached the Primary-Divine level, Lu Ran felt his chances of winning should be pretty high. At worst, they were just three peak Superior Legendaries.

Back when he was level 8, Captain Doofus, Dark Crow, and Baby Cloud could already display peak Superior-Legendary strength. Now he had even broken through to Mythical. With his amplification, Lu Ran felt a 4v3 shouldn’t be a problem.

And it might not necessarily be 4v3. If he could first let Sudden Death King evolve and reach Superior-Legendary strength before dealing with them, it would be even more stable.

Lu Ran had already chosen the target resources. Before entering the Republic era, he had done some preliminary homework. In the Republic’s outer space, there were special stars called Thunder Sound Star and Abyssal Thunder Star. They were stars covered by unique lightning.

In particular, the lightning covering Thunder Sound Star had a very strong repulsive force against souls. Just looking at it would greatly shock the heart.

If a living being’s physical body tried to approach Thunder Sound Star, their soul would instinctively want to escape their body. Many Republic mechanics who probed the Thunder Sound Star had their souls scared out of their bodies this way and couldn’t return.

The Abyssal Thunder Star was the other extreme. The star’s energy was like a river flowing with black lightning, filled with thunder vortices. It had an extremely strong, attractive effect on souls. Beings approaching this star would have their souls absorbed into the star and annihilated by the powerful attraction.

Experts speculated that these two stars might have originally been one, but were split. So far, the Republic had no effective way to develop these two special stars, indicating their power level was above Superior Legendary.

From what Lu Ran understood, the ultimate fate of these two stars was destruction in the great battle of the Mechanical Era. The rebellion of the Mechanical God didn’t just bring disaster to Stellar Moon, as the Mechanical Era was also an era of star warfare.

During that stage, large and small stars outside were also destroyed because of it, including these two stars. Although their exact outcome was unknown, they no longer existed by the Federation's Era.

Lu Ran chose them because they were not only mutually repulsive attributes but also both belonged to the Lightning attribute. He planned to integrate one into Sudden Death King’s Dragon-attribute power and the other into his Star-attribute power. Then, evolving through the Sun-Moon Fusion trait should allow Sudden Death King to advance further.

Meanwhile, outside Stellar Moon’s protective ring. The three aliens, regarded as great enemies by the Republic, were growing increasingly agitated.

“Where exactly have we arrived? It feels place isn’t our universe anymore. Could we have come to another parallel universe through that special ruin?” The seven-eyed cosmic person reached a terrifying conclusion through continuous analysis.

“Do we have a way back? Initially, we thought about occupying and selling this seemingly good planet, but now we can’t even contact headquarters.

“Not being able to contact headquarters is one thing, but we can’t even connect to the Cosmic Dream Net created by the Dream Lord that connects the entire universe. The Dream Lord is a cosmic-level lifeform. Its strength isn’t inferior to Lord Sephiroth of our Cosmic Overlord Legion by much.”

The old man and the middle-aged man were also silent.

“Regardless, we must capture this planet. We need the resources inside for repairs. This universe feels wrong. While this patch of starry space is clean land, the outside has already been devoured by an unknown, terrifying power. I suspect even the Divine-level powerhouses within the Legion would be helpless against that black mist. This damned place...”
