Lu Ran chose to challenge the Fengyuan Sheep, who previously used illusions to toy with Sudden Death King. Six-Path Flower previously slayed the Wind Dog God to gather resources for Captain Doofus. It was now Captain Doofus' turn to return the favor. Six-Path Flower was the one most lacking when it came to resources. It was the only one besides #18 that hadn’t undergone a second-stage evolution.

If it could find the right Legendary resources and combine them with the power it had been accumulating, it could perhaps be the first one on the team to reach Intermediate Legendary. Normally, it would be a tall ask for an ordinary creature to evolve from Low to Intermediate Legendary, but the Six-Path Flower, Divine Tree, and Void Grass made their mark on history by being extraordinary. The sheep was huge and covered in a mix of white and green wool and its golden-green eyes had a divine look about them. It slowly stood up as it sensed that someone had trespassed into its territory.

In his first run with Sudden Death King, they attacked the sheep on sight, but he now knew the sheep he fought was just an illusion. Breaking the illusion required some finesse. Without a specialized skill, the most common method was to release a huge burst of energy to disrupt the illusion with brute force. Unfortunately, Captain Doofus wasn’t at a level where it could overpower the Fengyuan Sheep like that.

It took a few steps forward, raised the two swords in its hands before swinging them in unison.

The attack unleashed such a tremendously powerful sword intent that it tore through the illusion, and the world around them receded like a lifting fog. The real secret realm was finally revealed.

The new secret realm featured a black tree that towered into the clouds. Its limbs were covered with eyes and were the main culprit behind the illusory world. The tree was raised by the Fengyuan Sheep using its God of Abundance powers.

When the Fengyuan Sheep discovered that its first line of defense had been breached, it appeared to personally face the challenger. Compared to the illusion, the real Fengyuan Yang was much larger. In fact, it was hundreds of meters tall.

Before it could act, Captain Doofus locked eyes with it and leapt into action. Captain Doofus’ eyes were filled with an intense sword intent.

Three Sword Style: Turbulent slash!

Captain Doofus utilized all three swords at the same time. What looked like a single slash at first was actually composed of a seemingly infinite number of attacks. The air whipped up into a storm as sword energy engulfed the skies before descending upon the sheep.

The attack seemed like the most basic sword attack without any special aspects, but the sheep was terrified nonetheless. In a single instant, it was torn into a thousand pieces.

"Quit messing around and use your ultimate attack! Do you know how precious soul clones are?” Lu Ran was annoyed by Captain Doofus testing out basic attacks instead of putting in some real effort.

Captain Doofus glared back at him.

I will remember this grudge.

In the end, it still obeyed Lu Ran’s order and retreated a bit.

In the meantime, the dismembered sheep didn’t go down so easily. The little bits of flesh began squirming and pieced themselves back together into a massive herd of smaller sheep.

Each of the smaller sheep had a long flaming leaf growing from their heads. They gave off powerful fluctuations and appeared as if they were ready to explode. They ignored Captain Doofus and focused all of their attention directly on Lu Ran. They then proceeded to stampede toward him.

"Fuck you, go fight the dog. Why are you coming after me?"

Seeing that things were starting to go sideways, Lu Ran turned tail and bolted, leaving Captain Doofus standing there by itself. The backlash from losing the soul clone depleted his energy, so he couldn’t join the fray. He formed his Flame Spirit into wings to fly away. While Lu Ran was running away, Captain Doofus stared at the herd of sheep.

A moment later, he turned around in shock.

The whole secret realm seemed to have been cut into several pieces, and several space fractures ran across the air like gaping wounds that sucked in swaths of Fengyuan Sheep.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sheep exploded as they were being sucked up, causing space to become unstable. Captain Doofus figured disappeared once more before appearing again hundreds of miles away.

On a random tree, there was a green sheep-shaped fruit that was the Fengyuan Sheep’s true body. When Captain Doofus' first attack landed, it hid itself while sending out countless clones to confuse the enemy.

Seeing the enemy approach, it realized that its location had been discovered, so it stopped hiding and went on the offensive. It used its horns to block the oncoming sword, but the horns were blown right off its head. This was proof that Captain Doofus' power had truly reached an incredible level.

With the flash of the sword, the Fengyuan Sheep was beheaded once more, but that still wasn’t enough to kill it. However, it was now a proven fact that Captain Doofus was capable of suppressing a Mythical secret realm boss.

Six-Path Flower watched silently from its contract card. It visualized the fight from the Fengyuan Sheep’s perspective and found it extremely difficult to turn the fight around. The only real strategy was to stall for the soul evolution technique to time out.

When it realized this, it wanted to warn Lu Ran that he needed to hurry up, but when it looked up, Captain Doofus was madly compressing sword intent while hovering in the air. The world-shattering sword intent became increasingly dense, and soon enough, the entire secret realm started to shake.

Captain Doofus wasn’t the most clear-minded in its current state, but it was still aware that it needed to wrap up the battle quickly.

The compressed Star-Splitting Sword Intent reached fifty times density before blowing past a hundred times density without any signs of stopping. Captain Doofus' eyes took on a wild look as its body began to change. Black lightning began coursing over its body, and wherever they went, they created tears in the fabric of space. This was a phenomenon that only occurred when energy surpassed a hundred times the density, which was something that Six-Path Flower could achieve.

The Star Splitting Sword Intent’s power crossed into the realm of the Divine, and when combined with its Sword God talent, Six-Path Flower had a pretty clear idea of what Captain Doofus was trying to do.

This guy wants to destroy the entire secret realm! It’s picturing the secret realm as a star to maximize the power of the Star Splitting Sword Intent! Once the secret realm is destroyed, the Fengyuan Sheep would naturally be destroyed as well, since it could only exist within the secret realm.

While Six-Path Flower was still thinking, the world shattered into pieces like a mirror. There was nowhere for the Fengyuan Sheep to hide, and it was finally annihilated. With sword intent roaring around him, Lu Ran floated in the void and let out a deep sigh.

Not finding him was one thing, but now there’s someone named Beastmaster King’s Top General who had come out of the woodwork.

In the Federation headquarters, the first one to hear the news was the Mechanical Leader, who had become the first level 8 beastmaster in Stellar Moon. He was shocked, to say the least. A while back, he received news that a divination revealed the Beastmaster King to be the emperor of the Beastmaster Empire that fell more than two eras ago. It was nothing short of outrageous.

Now, a general popped out of nowhere, which made the Mechanical Leader even more concerned. When the Divine Throne announced that he was challenging the next ascension realm, he was already in one and reached level 8, one step ahead of everyone else. As a leader, he couldn’t be as theatrical as the Divine Throne.

"Did an ancient emperor really come back to life? There must have been some greater plan that was set into motion before the empire fell and finally bore fruit. Given how powerful the empire was back then, it’s not entirely impossible.

"The Six-Path Flower should be of the same species as the Six Paths Reincarnation God. It’s most likely a distant descendant rather than the original god. If it were the original god, how could it stoop so low to contract with a human? Elf King speculates that it must have evolved from a Three-Life Flower, which is a species enlightened by the Reincarnation God. Reincarnation and resurrection more or less fall into the same category.

"It looks like, besides the emperor himself, even some of his generals are being resurrected in the modern day. It’s hard to say whether this is a good or bad thing for the Federation. What is the Empire’s ultimate goal, and will they aid us in the World War? There are too many unanswered questions.”

Even though he was the first level 8 beastmaster, Mechanical Leader still felt that he didn’t have a clear grasp of the situation. He had a feeling that there was definitely some deeper mystery afoot.
