Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Azians POV

I opened my eyes to the gentleness of the wind through the open window. I yawned realizing I must have fallen asleep, it was already dark which meant I had been asleep for roughly 3 to 4 hours.

A knock sounded on my door and I muttered a come in, knowing fully well it wasn't Edwin, he would have never knocked.

Alessia stumbled in Yawning to, her hair was all over the place as she gave me a sleepy eye, "Mom says it's time for supper" she said yawning one more time.

I nodded, "alright I'll be down".

She gave me one last sleepy look before walking out shutting the door behind her.

It took me a few minutes before I was ready to go, walking down the stairs. I slipped into the chair glancing at the dining room chairs, everyone was in the kitchen instead so I made my way there.

“hey honey" Anna cooed as she wiped her hands on her apron, she leaned in giving me a soft kiss on my cheek while I yawned placing myself in between a sleepy Alessia and Edwin.

Anna placed her hand on her hips watching me attentively then at Alessia, "you two look tired, did you just fall asleep after school?" She asked.

Alessia nodded cracking her neck and fingers as she stretched, "I was tired" she muttered.

"Same here" I replied raising an eyebrow looking for Abigail, "where's Abi?" I asked

Anna placed a plate full of or sorts of yummy things before me, "she's dealing with-uh, something" she replied serving Edwin and Alessia.

I wanted to ask what things but Alessia best me to it.

Anna sighed glancing at her daughter, “I can't say anything right now, I promised I would wait for Abigail, Ena and Maria to come first so we can discuss this openly,” she replied.

I leaned back taking in a piece of raw green pepper one Alpha growled in distaste, my face morphed into confusion, "what's so important that Ena and Maria have to be here?" I asked now very intrigued.

Alessia nodded halfheartedly cutting into her steak, "yeah, Aunt Ena and Aunt Maria are only here on matters to do with Azian, usually, so what did he do this time?" She asked giving me a suspicious glare.

Did they know? Did they know I sneak out to see my possession? I glanced at Edwin who returned my glance shaking his head slightly, assuring me he had said nothing.

Anna sighed, "I can't talk about it, but it's important, so when they arrive, I don't if they'll come today or tomorrow morning, we will talk about this" she replied taking a seat opposite me as she indulged her dinner.

I studied her for a minute watching how anxious she looked, my mind trying to figure out what they could possibly be hiding from me, I tried to read her mind but it was still so fuzzy, I gave up, instead focusing on her body language.

How tight she grilled the fork, how she didn't look up at us but focused attentively on her food.

She suddenly sighed sitting back, "Azian you're not going to get it out of me with or without your burning gaze,” she assured me.

I grinned humming to myself, "of course not"

She glanced at Alessia frowning, "you, young lady need to take a shower, now that you slept early, you’re going to find it difficult to get back to bed after dinner,” she then turned to me, "the both of you"

I only hummed in response, who said I was planning to go to bed after dinner? No I was going to see my precious possession.

I bit my lip gazing at nothing really as I remembered what had occurred earlier. So she had found us out, she knew we were real. I would have to come up with some excuse as to why we did, she couldn't possibly find out the real reason.

Suddenly I felt a deep burn run through me, so deep I dropped my fork my fist tightened as I leaned in.

"Azian?" Anna asked studying me

I looked up at her slowly as the pain subsided giving her an assuring nod, "I'm fine I just-" I trailed off when I felt the rapid heat burst through spreading around my body like I was set on fire, but fire didn't bother me, fire couldn't harm me, that is what I knew. But this kind, this kind hurt so bad I growled out fisting my hands together.

In no time Edwin was on me, his hand clamped around my shoulder measuring me, "Azian relax," he eased.

But I didn't want to relax. Why should I relax? I felt angry, very angry a sudden rush burst through me as an image flashed right before me. It was gone as soon as it came and my mind struggled to put it back to piece, I knew. I knew I had seen her. I had seen Kaya. In those few seconds but she wasn't alone.

Someone had been with her, someone I hadn't seen at all but made me fill up with rage.

"Azian Baby, relax. Take a deep breath in" Anna cooed pushing Alessia out of the way as she moved toward me.

Just then another image flashed before me and it burned me brightly, Kaya was running. But running from what?

I shut my eyes trying to stop my head from thumping Omega seemed to be lost and I could only feel Alpha raging through me, Why was he angry?

"Azian!" I heard Anna gasp but I didn't open my eyes, I felt Edwin warmth depart from me but I couldn't stop the pain, I had to focus. I had to stop the pain that was raging through me like I had just been struck by lightning.

Why was Kayas name screaming through my mind? Why had I suddenly seen her in a mere second? I tried to focus past the pain but it suddenly dissolved into nothing. Nothing at all.

I opened my eyes slowly, the first thing I saw were my hands, the veins that twisted around my arms were barely glowing a deep gold and I caught a glimpse of my reflection through the glass cupboard before the glowing dissolved, it seemed as if every single vein was visible glowing a bright gold and my eyes were Alphas color before they dimmed back to my normal blue.

I started at the table before me realizing I had just melted the counter tops so it looked like the sub had gotten too close to the earth and everything had just started to melt.

It was then I looked at Edwin, Alessia and Anna who were staring at me with wide eyes and an expression on their faces I had never seen.

I stood up slowly watching the liquid metal drop to the floor like Lava, "I-I uh, .I'll just go to take a shower" I announced feeling very light headed.

Nobody stopped me, not even Edwin as they stared at the melting counter.

**

The cold water cooled my body from what had just happened closing my eyes, I tried to understand it all. Had Kaya been in trouble? Why was she running? Was that even her? What had Alpha been trying to show me?

I shook my head breathing out, it could have been nothing but I knew that wasn't possible, something had happened.

But how could I know if- before I could stop myself I slammed myself against the towel war reaching for the tap as it returned. The ugly burn, it burned deep within me and this time if felt like I had been carried away and placed in another room, one I recognized as Kaya's, I could see Kaya, at least I thought I could everything was too busy and it seemed like the whole world was one wavy blur, a muffled voice spoke up, one I couldn't see..

Were you worried? Were you worried about me?

I saw her nod, and a growl erupted through me as I felt myself been thrown back, my hand suddenly feeling the familiar mob of the shower handle.

"Azian! Are you okay!" Anna asked banging on the shower door, "honey let's talk about what happened"

My eyes opened wide and I realized I had just melted the shower again, I didn't know what was happening but one thing was echoing in my mind, .Kaya. Only her.

"I'm fine. It was just a-uh-a head ache" I replied getting out of the shower, the warm melted metal dripped from my hand in a going mess. It sizzled as it hit the wet shower floor, but I didn't feel the heat.

"A headache? That wasn't a headache,” She replied.

"Azian come out" Edwin called from outside the bathroom.

I rolled my eyes, this was not what I needed at the moment. I watched my hands, glancing at the bathroom door. I could let them wait for a while, Omega teleported us out and directly into my bedroom.

I could hear them banging against the footballing my name by the bathroom but I knew they could only be fooled for so long, Edwin would soon sense I wasn't even in the bathroom anymore, so I quickly changed taking one last look around the room before I headed out.

My heart thumped loudly when I found myself before the familiar glass door, gazing into the room. There was no sign of Kaya. What if those visions were true? What if something had happened to her?

Alpha growled deeply but in that moment she came into view, wearing some pink pajama’s and in one hand a brush she was using to brush her tangled wet hair down.

It seemed she had just come out of the shower and she looked exceptionally okay. So it was a false alarm? Nothing had happened. Everything was fine. Why was Alpha so worried and angry?

Go in. Alpha said clearly

I noticed the door was already half opened so I gently pushed it back as I walked in.

I hoped she didn't mind me coming earlier than usual but the charade was over now right? This was never a dream and so there was no point in acting like it was.

As I walked in she turned around and I was about to smile but then I caught it, the scent suffocated me as I looked up at her my fists clenching...i could smell Legion.
