The next day, Arya was escorted to the blind-date appointment without even her consent.

This day, Arya and her Mother both controlled their temper.  Although they didn’t talk much, Arya actively finished all the chores at home.  Her Mother quietly bought food that Arya likes to eat and at the dinner table, both of them had also served food to each other.

When her Mother saw Arya’s attitude was good, she did not scold her again.  She only mentioned that there would be a dinner in the evening and she was taking her there to meet the young man to see whether she will be pleasing to his eye.

Her Father instantly shot a wink at her Mother and in his heart, he did not agree that her words be said in such a way.  It should be said they want to see whether their daughter would take a liking for the other person.  How can they be so passive and let their own daughter be looked down?

Arya sighed.  Her mother’s style had always been the same.  Why should her father take her mother’s words to heart?

In short, Mother hen took her daughter to the dinner that night.

When they arrived at the restaurant, she met a woman who looked around her mother’s age.  Her Mother poked at her and said.  “Call her Auntie.”

“Hello, Auntie.”  She greeted politely.

The woman smiled, swept her eyes around Arya and looked at her from top to bottom.  Then she praised her.  “Arya looks very pretty with fine facial features, stylish and proper.  Your mother is really fortunate to have you.”

“Oh, she is just lucky.  She managed to pick up all the good traits from me and her Dad.”  her Mother was obviously very happy and quickly replied.

She sat at the side and smiled, thinking there was something wrong with her Mom’s words.  What did she say?

The three of them sat down.  Arya’s Elders phobia had started and her movements were somewhat rigid.

The woman ordered some dishes and said.  “My son is busy and only came back this afternoon.  He had not even sat down for a few minutes and he was called away by his friends to do some work.  He wants to start a driving school here and there are some connections he had to handle.  He will be coming late, I hope you don’t mind.”

“It’s alright, it’s alright.”  Arya’s Mother’s attitude was exceptionally good which was completely different from her usual self at home.

Arya sitting beside her was unable to interrupt and listened to the two mothers talking about the recent weather, the market’s prevailing vegetable prices, the shop that was selling the middle-aged fashionable clothes at cheap prices, skin-care products that were cheap and good, the various type of health products and their effects and it goes on.

Arya quietly poured coffee for the two ladies and quietly beckoned to the waiter to refill the water.  When the dishes were served, she helped to arrange the dishes and the rest of the time, she just quietly listened to the two mothers chat.

She silently thought to herself that this situation was also good.  It would even be better if the man was too busy to come, then after the mothers have finished their gossip, she would be free.

In the end, she had not even let out a sigh of relief before the woman turned her attention on her and said.  “Arya is so obedient, so quiet and steady.”

“Oh yes.  Actually, my daughter is very capable.”

Oh no!  Arya started to feel nervous.  Is it going to start now?

“Not that I praise her.  My Arya is capable in house chores and kitchen. Originally she was working as a manager in a trading company, later she wanted to hone her skills and changed her occupation.  She is also good at running businesses and her boss places great importance on her.”

Arya’s Mother continued to talk endlessly.  Arya restrained her urge to sigh and poured another cup of coffee for her.

The other mother also praised her son, saying that her son is working in a driving school in management and he is also a filial son.  He wants to come home so he can stay with the two elderly and keep them company.  So even if he comes home, he will also start a driving school.  There should not be problems with connections and funding, however, to do all these takes time and his work in other city cannot be put down immediately.  So he has to stay in the other city for a while and wait until everything is settled before he can come back.

Arya’s Mother praised him and also said they were fated because Arya was also in the same situation, unable to leave the other city in the meantime.  But in the end, she still has to come home.  Therefore, the two people are really suitable for each other and they will definitely have a lot of common topics for discussion.

Both mothers felt this was the case and their conversation became more vigorous.  They started to talk about how things should be done if both of them get married, which banquet hall is good, the prices of a dishes, the peak seasons that bookings are difficult to make, and also the arrangement for housing and if there is a child, which family is going to bring up the child.

Arya started to break out in cold sweat.  She could not sit still any longer and gave an excuse she wanted to go to the toilet and slipped away.

In the toilet, she walked back and forth and after someone came in, she simply hid inside a toilet cubicle.  She became panic-stricken.

Looking at the situation, are the two mothers already setting things up?  This blind-date is worse than the blind-date with Jay Dunphy.  That time, it was just his Mother who was talking to herself but this time, the two mothers are planning this together.

She could not help but hope the woman’s son will come quickly so that he is not sold by his own mother in his absence.  But when she thought of him coming and this matter is then confirmed…….what should she do?  She definitely cannot flip the table and protest on this kind of occasion, right?  Even if she doesn’t protest now and when she reaches home, will she have to get into a big fight with her mother?

She felt breathless and her stomach started to hurt.

“Elder phobia?  Are you on a blind-date again?”

“What is the situation this time?”

“This time is even more incredible.  My mother is here as well and she fell in love at first sight with his mother.  They were talking about marriage and at the time, I walked away, they were already discussing which family will be responsible to bring up the child.  If I return to my seat now, maybe the child is ready to graduate from high school.  Dr. Jack, tell me why I always encounter this kind of initiative enthusiastic people who has such a degree of madness?”

“Arya, where are you now?”

“In the restaurant toilet.  I can only breathe inside here.”

“How can you be so useless?”

With a bang, her head hit the partition door of the toilet.
