Chapter 12: Chapter 12
Linda sat in her office waiting for Ethan. She had decided to go on the date. It has been a week since he presented the necklace.
It was her maids who urged her to go. Those maids of her, they were always something.
After the encounter at the office, Frank had quit disturbing her. Thanks to Ethan. She thought.
“Why wasn't he here?” she asked no one In particular.
She decided to go online. She logged into her social media.
Her friends had posted on the net their latest pictures. They looked stunning.
She commented and liked their post.
A thought surged into her.
Upon the successes of her friends. She was counted as being the lucky one.
She read more posts and commented on some.
She reviewed the social handle of the sweet twenty ladies club, their viewer had heightened. She read the comment section. It was so impressive. The lady she had assigned to be an auxiliary director was doing quite well, she thought.
A call comes in. It was from Sophia. The party Lady! She said to herself.
“Hi, girl,” Linda said.
“Hi, get ready for our usual hang out,” she said.
“Maybe, you’ve forgotten that I am on a date,” I said.
“Ouch!, Sophia, why do you always forget to memorize simple things,” Sofia said jovially.
Linda burst into laughter.
“Better not kill yourself, friend, you haven’t got to your highest peak,” Linda said between laughers.
“Sure friends, we will want ourselves to the highest peak,” Sofia said.
“Have you heard about the princess's birthday, it is just a few days?” Sofia added
“No, but which Princess?” she asked.
“Ethan sister,” Sofia said.
“Nope, I haven’t heard,” Linda said.
“You mean Ethan hasn’t invited you?” Sofia asked.
“No, we don’t talk about families. I am still in the office waiting for him,” Linda said.
“Why not buzz him?” Sofia suggested.
“I can’t do that,” Linda said.
The door was unlocked. Ethan walked looking more handsome.
“Friend, I need to go, the man itself has arrived,” Linda said.
“I figure that you are blushing, is he more handsome?” Sofia asked jovially.
“You can come here to check him by yourself, I am off,” Linda said.
“Never mind me, just enjoy your day, never forget to send my greeting to the main man,” Sofia said.
“Okay,” Linda
They both dropped the call.
Linda looked up to discover that Ethan was staring at him.
“Will you continue to stare at me or do you want to take me out on a date?” Linda said.
“Pardon my manners, apologies for my lateness,” Ethan said.
“Pardon accepted, apologies accepted,” she said.
“Can we go?” Ethan asked.
“Sure,” she replied.
They both walked out of the company’s building.

They both walked into the exclusive restaurant. The people were drooling, the ladies on Ethan, the men on Linda.
“Is Linda and Ethan dating?”
“Oh, Ethan is more handsome today,”
“Woah, Linda is so beautiful,”
“The prince is charming,”
“Has Linda forgotten her late husband so quickly?”
“They were perfect together,”
Ethan ushered her to a private suite he rented for their first date.
He had spent his time supervising the workers. That was the reason he was late to pick her up.
As they walked in. The light became dim. Only candlelight was visible.
Linda was so astonished.
“Woah, so beautiful,” she was perplexed. Her eyes dashed around surveying the room.
The place smelled and looked nice. Her mind dashed back to when her parents were alive. They love nature. They had a garden full of flowers.
The place Ethan took her to was naturally smelly. There must be flowers planted around or inside the suite.
She surveyed further. She was a big pot of flowers.
“Woah!” she said as she dashed towards it.
“Do you like it?” Ethan asked.
“I love it, actually I was born into the family of flowers. I am a reciprocal of a flowering plant,” Linda said as she bent down to smell the flowers, they smell even nice.
Ethan watched her with admiration. She was beautiful to look at. He would do anything to have that same smile on her face.
She was so relaxed around the flowers. She touched them with tenderness. He hoped to watch her like that for eternity.
She strides back. She spotted the arranged table.
“Sorry to ruin our first date,” she said.
How can she apologize when I was loving every sight of her, Ethan thought.
“You never ruin our first date. There is still more time to merry, can we sit?” Ethan said.
“Yes,” she said with a sweet whisper.
Ethan ushered her into a seat. He tapped his finger.
Two Walters walked in with their food and drink.
They bowed.
“Prince… Madame,” they said in unison.
They served their food. They left immediately they did but not without bowing.
Linda was perplexed, every food and drink on the table were her best food and drinks. She wondered why he got to know or if it was a coincidence?. Linda took the cutlery, she put some food into her mouth.
It was heavenly and yummy.
“Woah! It tastes so good,” she said as she grinds the food with her teeth.
“Do you like it?” he asked.
“Yes, not only like but also I love it too,” she said as she galloped some drinks down her throat.
Ethan smiled. He was happy that she was enjoying their date.
He watched her, she was enjoying her food. It was obvious that she was happy. He hoped she would be happy for the main event he had for her.
Ethan also mashed his food while stealing a glance at her. She looked up, their eyes met.
They both stared at each other for some minutes as a motion affixed.
Linda feels uneasy and hurriedly looks down.
Ethan smiled. He can see the pureness and innocence in her eyes.
That was the only thing he was looking for. The pure and innocent.
They finished eating, he tapped his fingers. The Walters walked in with the desserts.
Linda was surprised. She was delighted and keen.
