Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Linda breathed heavily as she sat down watching her brother-in-law standing babbling loudly that the occupiers in the whole mansion could hear him. He was baring his intestines.
“A pauper will always be a pauper. You impoverished brat wishes to reap from where you never plow. That won’t be, whether you’re the only benefactor to his will or not. But one thing is that I will make you pay. You will regret making him ever authorize your name as his only benefactor to the will. You won’t even have the energy to tug my Brother’s properties with me,” he rambled precisely.
Linda gazed at his ugly face before she took her face from him.
She was blinked in anger. Her system can’t stomach the insult that ran on her. She shocked her head. She decided to confront him.
“An empty barrel makes a louder sound. This is your attitude that impels your brother to will his properties to me, if you have any issues to formulate. You can go and meet your brother and complain,” Linda said as she ignored him.
He smirked mischievously.
``We shall know who will go and meet him between the two of us, you contaminated pig,'' he yelled with an evil grin grinned at her. Before storming out of the mansion.
Frank had never failed daily to lambast her after the death of her husband who happens to be his elder brother. But Linda never did anything but just allowed his tirades. Until today.
Hot tears swooped from her eyes.
The reflection of her husband's portrayal engulfed her head. She riled.
"Richie, why have you failed in your vow to be there with me in every one of my trials," she wailed.
Her two personal maids walked up to her. Their faces were both watering.
“Linda, you need to take it easy,” one of her maids said as she cooked to sit beside her.
She gently rubbed her head in an African way of saying sorry or taking heart.
Bee, as they always called her, was from Nigeria. Her full name is Benita Abu. She is the most respected and mature out of all the maids in the mansion. She has a caring and nice heart.
Linda glanced at both of them. She sobbed more.
'Thank you," she said to both of them as she pulled them to her.
They sobbed together.
Then her phone buzzed. She picked it up.
"Hey, girlfriend," Sofia, one of her best friends, mumbled through the phone.
Linda gently wiped her tears, she didn't want her friend to find out that she had been crying.
"Hii, Softie girl" she murmured.
"Your voice sounds jaunty, are you alright? " she said anxiously.
She breathed in, she didn't want her to know about her sober mood.
"We are about to cruise town, come ready in fifteen minutes, or else, we will drag you out," she said.
"I am not interested,'' she said with discomfort.
"Whether you like it or not, get your ass down or you will be the spark for tonight," she said over the phone.
The maids insisted that she must go with them.
She tried to insist that she won't go. But they always have their way on her.
And she agreed not without promising to get the ice cream for them. They both have different tastes.
Bee preferred chocolate mashed with vanilla flavor.
Ashley preferred pure strawberry flavor.
They forced me to her room. They even wanted to bathe her. She rejected their offer.
They followed her into the bathroom.
They warmed her bath as she watched them.
They left her and went to the wardrobe to get her something to wear.
She came back looking more radiant and beautiful.
Linda is extremely beautiful, with tall stature, Natural hair, good structure, and a beautiful face.
Her beauty had hooked Richard Logan to her.
Richard's parents had forbidden the relationship. They despised Linda with passion. Especially, Mrs. Logan, she was just thick in their r relationships.
Mrs. Logan desired a white lady for her first son which was not Linda.
Linda was a prescription of the black and the white race.
Richard was adamant that she was the one he wanted.
His dad disowned him. He never cared but made a vow to her that he will be there with her in every one of her trials because Linda was an orphan who once lived with her aunt who was a poor widow.
She died four years ago.
They had a wedding within a month. It was just them and a few friends.
"Our boss is alluring without clothes on," said the bee jokingly.
Those two friends and maids were just like sisters to her. But they would never admit it.
They preferred a boss to maid relationship rather than being sisters.
"She is so stunning," Alicia said chuckling
"When both of you have finished flattering me, you can help me with a coffee," said, staring at her disorganized closet.
"Ok," Bee said.
"Let me go get the coffee when you watch her put on that glamour ball gown, we both decide for her,'' she added.
She walked to the door. She winked at Linda and walked out.
Alicia grabbed the gown they preferred her to wear.
She assisted her to put it on. She plopped it on without complaining.
It is dumbed to complain. They were the crazy type that didn't take no for an answer. She loved them like that.
Bee came back with an astounded look on her face when she saw her.
"Woah!" she mumbled
"You’re stunning Linda," she said.
"Stop flattering, I am in my mourning period' Linda said
They both looked at each other.
"Mourning? Linda, oh forget your mourning!" Alicia said
"Be the happy, dear boss. And a smile," Bee said as she tickled her.
She chuckled.
They supported her in putting on her shoes. They led her to the door when they heard the car hoot of her friends.
They opened the door to find out that her crazy friends had put on five car lights that could blind anyone even in daylight.
