Nancy's pov

What!!!.....

I screamed immediately I heard I should drink the coffee.

Why did I not noticed that it was all a planned work.

Why?? How come did she know that I want to poison her.

And I can't drink it now.... what am I going to do.

I am doom...I am dead already or am I dreaming? If i am someone should wake me from my dream.

"Am waiting ooo" the voice of my boss jolted me out of my thought.

How will I tell her that I want to use my selfish act to poison her.

How!!! How??...

I did not realised when I got on my kneels immediately the guards were approaching me.

I arched my brows in frustration and tears streamed out of my eyes like a running pipe.

Annabelle's pov

The maids that were passing reacted wildly to the way she was acting.

Daniel was just looking angry like he should kill her, his hands crossed behind his back.

He turned to his guards and whispered something to them and they started marching towards Nancy.

That was when Nancy started spilling the words out.

"I poisoned it!!! I poisoned it !!!! I can't drink it" she stammered.

"So you don't want to talk,why are you now talking" Daniel asked.

"Who send you" Daniel asked while slapping her hard.

"It was aunty Lissy that send me!!! Aunty Lissy she gave me the poison that I should kill your wife" she said while crying profusely.

"She asked you to poisoned her?"Daniel asked.

"Nancy you know I trusted you,I don't expect you to do what you did.....I love you like my own sister but see what you've done to your self" I said and tears flowed out of my eyes.

He stared at her for a while without saying a word and giving the guards an eye signal, and they started taking her away.

Okay.....where are they taking her.

Even though she is wrong I still felt pity for her.

"Uh.....no.please don't punish her" I said.

"Don't worry is just a little punishment and I will release her to go" he said.

"Don't you think we should go inside now, huh?" He asked whisperingly and I nodded.

But I could not still get my mind off Nancy.

He held my hand perfectly and we started walking inside the room.

I felt goosebump immediately we entered the room and he pushed me to the door and he started kissing me.

"I told you before that am going out with my friend tonight" he said within the kiss.

Ok....

"So I will be going now" he said and broke the kiss.

He left me and entered the bathroom to freshening after that he came outside.

Why is this guy always looking handsome whenever he is wet.....I stared at his cute hair and lips and I could feel my pant had become wet.

"Why are you staring at me like that" he asked.

"How did you know that am staring at you if you are not staring at me huh" I asked.

"Grumpy jerk" I thought and I did not realized that bi spilled it out.

"You said" he asked.

"Nothing" I said and stood up.

I helped him to arranged his shirt well.

"So can I go now candy crush" he asked.

"Yes... but I will miss you" I said and pouted like a baby.

"Don't worry when I come back...I will continue what have started" he whispered.

"I don't understand" I said.

"When I come back you will know" he said.

He kissed my forehead and left.

Immediately he left I felt like a button had been loosed from my body.

The next day I yawned from my sleep and opened my eyes forcefully.... immediately I opened my eyes I gasped and was surprised when I saw the whole room decorated.

And I remembered I did not know when Daniel had come back yesterday I slept off.

I met a flower on the bed and I sniffed it... what is happening?? I checked the room I could not see Daniel.

What type of game is he playing with me now??.

I opened another book and I was surprised with what was written inside.

"Come to the sitting room" I jumped happily from the bed and when I entered the sitting room I was surprised.

I glanced at the room and it looked different also.

That was when many people coming out from different direction singing Happy birthday songs to me.....I saw jenny she smiled at me and Chris both of them were standing together.

Haaaa!!!I had forgotten today is my birthday but I remembered a few days ago.

I looked more happy when I spotted my mum she looks happy....tears flowed out of my eyes and I went to hug her.

I could not still see Daniel.....

Uhhhhmm....mum where is Daniel...

"Calm down he is fine" mum said.

I glanced at the entrance of the door and I could not still see Daniel and it showed Daniel's mum and dad.

I ran to them also and hugged them.

"How come?? How did they make it this early here".

"Where is my husband" I shouted.

"I am here" I heard from my back the voice have been longing to hear.

I ran to him immediately and hugged him he wrapped his hand around my waist and kissed me.

Wow!!! I looks so happy,am the happiest woman in the world today.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY WIFEY" he said.

"I have a surprise for you" he said.

And he use is hand to cover my eyes.

Scorpion's pov

Yes this is an opportunity for me to enter the house and do our job.

Have been looking for this type of opportunity where they will allow people to enter.

There celebration will soon turn to sorrow.

"I scorpion I kill people silently,and I will do this one silently no matter how the guards inside".

"You guys should wait for me in the car" I said to my boys.

I put on a face cap and glasses and left the car to the compound.

They will think am also there to celebrate with them without knowing I am an hired assassin,I kill to make money.

And I use to do a clean job.

I knocked the gate and the gateman opened the door for me without any interrogation.

Annabelle's pov

Daniel covered my eye with his hand and we started walking....I was confused because I did not know where he is taking me to.

He removed his hand and before I opened my eyes I started hearing a jiggling of a key.

"What is the key for" I asked feeling confused.

"Is a car,and search for for the one that is honking" he said.

I gasped immediately he said it,so I will be a car owner..... before I knew what was happening I jumped on him first and wrapped my leg around his body without minding about people.

"So sugar plum will you go and check the car out now" he said giggling.

"Am even happy,I did not expect this.....I can't even remember telling you that today is my birthday so tell me how you knew" I asked him.

"Well....your mum told me she wanted to surprise you and that was how I knew" he said.

"This is more than surprise baby, I don't know the name to call it apart from surprise" I said.

"So will you go and check the car out now" he asked.

"Yes....yes...yes" I replied giggling and run to search for the honking car.

Finally when I saw the car I exclaimed and wanted to pass out...it looks so beautiful and I don't even need a sooth Sayer to tell me it is a new model.

I opened the car door and entered the driver seat happily even though I don't know how to drive.

"So Anna, don't worry I will teach you how to drive" he said.

"Thank you" I said and tears flowed out of my eyes.

Jenny also came to me and hugged me.

"Congratulations Anna" she said.

"Thanks" I said.

"Wow!!! So you are now happy with Mr grumpy now and we have to talk because this is not the Anna I know" jenny whispered and said to me sarcastially.

"And that car we are using it together" she said again.

"Ok Jenny we will have to talk later I have many gist for you" I said.

Chris came too and congratulate me and I could see he was just staring at jenny all along since.

"About jenny,I wanted to tell her to quit the restaurant job and I will help her to talk to Daniel to give me some money so that she will be able to start her own business".

"I noticed Daniel's mum have been smiling extraordinary since she came like she won a lottery.

The party was going on and after I finished cutting my cake someone came to me and told me Daniel was calling me outside.

"Why will he send someone to me huh".

But he just left here just now.

I left the party room and I followed the person outside....my conscience keeps telling me I should go back that why will I follow who I don't know,if Daniel wants to send someone to me he will send one of his guards.

"I checked the surroundings and I noticed we are at the back yard of the house and there is no one passing by".

I was about going back when the guy removed a handkerchief from his pocket and put it on my nose.... immediately he put it I passed out.

Daniel's pov

Have been searching for Annabelle, have not seen her.

Where could she be?

I saw her friend with Chris they were both talking and I asked them about her.

"We did not see her.....but I noticed immediately she finished cutting her cake she left outside" jenny said looking scared also.

"How come she is not in this house, have searched everywhere" .

Guards.......

"Yes boss" they chorused.

"Check the whole house if you will see my wife" I said.

I was now scared when they came out telling me they did not see her.

Tears flowed from my eyes immediately they told me.

"She is my life, without her I don't know what will happen to me".

I was confused and devastated.

"Hope is not what am thinking" I shouted.

"My son calm down,calm down we will find her" my mom said.

Mum if I did not see her my life will be meaningless.

"Mum I love her,I can't avoid to loose her" I said.

"Why are you crying instead of you to find a way to find her you are crying" my subconscious mind tells me.

"Annabelle mum also was now crying and jenny".

I stood up immediately and went to meet the gateman.

"Have anybody left this house, I asked him".

"Yes boss.....is only one guy that have left and he came late..... when he was leaving he was carrying a load" he said.

"Are you mad!!! Are you fool!!!" Someone came here empty handed and when he was leaving he was carrying a load you did not ask him about the load".

"Boss I asked him and he told me you gave the load to him" he said.

Immediately he said it I started punching him,I felt like killing him immediately.

My mum and Chris held me and I stopped.

"You know what I don't have time for this nonsense talk now".

"The only person I suspected now is that foolish lissy" I thought.

I am the one that caused this on myself,I would have just kill her immediately she first attempted to send someone to poison her.

"If I should set my eyes on her I will make sure I strangled her to death" I said and ruffled my hair angrily.

I picked my phone immediately and when I checked it I saw missed call from my private investigator.

"I guess the party did not allow me to hear my ringing phone".

"Hello boss" have been calling you since he said.

" Hope you are still trailing Lissy" I asked.

"Yes boss".

"I have information about her that is the reason why am calling you" he said.

"My wife has been kidnapped and I suspect her" I said while breathing heavily.

"It seems she is the one that kidnap her,we saw her now she is going to that uncompleted building" he said.

Ok I will meet you there I said and hunged the call.

I collect a car key from one of the guards immediately.

"Don't let me meet you there when I come back" I said to the gateman from the car.

And I drove speedily out of the house.

I could feel heat from my inner body, I need to rescue her before they kill her.
