Chapter 1686: Chapter 1686: Wishing Spell

Wynn carefully handled Zen, bracing himself to toss him down to Lavender. Lavender flew a few more feet and once she was in the right position caught Zen in her arms. She flew a little further down to land gracefully on a sturdy boulder.

Her face contorted in grief for her man, who groaned weakly in her grasp. Zen had been heavily injured, and she wasn't sure what they could do to help alleviate some of his pain. The fact he had to be thrown into her arms hadn't helped, and she was sure of that.

Lavender knew just who was to blame for this terrible mess. A rush of irritation and hatred lanced through her core at the thought of Margaret. Despite the fact her neck had been snapped, she was still causing trouble for Zen.

However, Lavender knew that Zen irrationally cared for those close to his heart. He was a kind person. She knew if she were to be injured in that way and she no longer were to be alive, Zen would become enraged. Even though that thought warmed her heart, she still believed the man was too impulsive! Too brash.

“How could he be such an idiot!” She hissed, hugging him tighter to her chest. Her voice had been low so as not to disturb Zen, but he shifted as if he had heard her. She attempted to blink the tears from her eyes to no avail as she looked over his injury. He'd fought valiantly and for that she admired him, but her worry was stronger than her admiration. His chest was bloodied and slightly sunken in, his breathing ragged and labored.

Zen had only been struck by Pranav twice. However, the seemingly unremarkable palm strikes had caused insurmountable damage to his chest.

Ever since their return from the Divine Refinement Forbidden Land, it was the first time Zen had been injured. It had come as a shock to them all.

Lavender could see the energy from Pranav's attack lingering in the wound. It was like a festering sore, attempting to corrode and infect his entire body.

Zen was incredibly lucky to be the person he was. His physique was unique in that it naturally produced the primordial energy. Primordial energy was more commonly referred to as the warm current, and the gentle glow of the current was nearly surrounding Zen.

The warm currents were like leeches, trying to overpower the energy and then attempt to siphon it from his body.

However, Pranav's energy was nearly too much for the warm currents. It was domineering and could easily bat away the primordial energy.

Fortunately, Zen was a natural conductor for the warm currents. They had accumulated a decent amount inside his body, and naturally worked against the energy trying to eat away at him. Lavender watched with wide eyes as new currents would automatically counteract the energy from Pranav's attack. They worked to heal what they could, and finally were able to defeat the remaining darkness from the wound.

The body in her arms sucked in a sharp breath, and then went into spasm. A large mouthful of blood, shining gold in the daylight, was spat out onto the rock at her feet. Zen was panting and slowly opened his eyes. When he realized where he was he began to struggle from Lavender's grip. She held on tightly. “You need to be careful! Your recklessness caused this injury. You don't need to cause any more damage.” She could see the pure hatred in his eyes, but also the resolve. “You are no match for him at this moment!” she said. Her hold on him tightened as if she expected him to bolt.

Although Zen was extremely powerful and his strength outmatched that of many warriors, this was an entirely different situation. He could defeat any Supreme Lord as they had no real way of defending themselves against him. Pranav was not a Supreme Lord though.

Pranav happened to be a True God, a being never so easily defeated. They'd just experienced what would happen to them in various unprepared battles. It was ludicrous for Zen to even consider challenging him again in this state.

Despite Lavender's warning, the look of determination did not lessen from Zen's face. She knew there would be no dissuading him. Sighing, Lavender set him carefully on his feet and took his hands in hers. “We need to have a plan if we're going to do this. They will be fighting soon, and we can plan to launch an attack then.”

Zen assessed the woman before him, the sincerity of her words calming him. He knew she cared for him, but to see it was moving.

He nodded, deciding Lavender was right. If he rushed in now to battle Pranav unprepared, he'd certainly be killed. Wynn might have been able to save him this time, but there was no guarantee he'd be able to do so again. His impulsive actions could cause Wynn and the Supreme Lords to fall into terrible circumstances. Zen certainly didn't want the whole of the Evolutionary Universe to suffer for a mistake on his part.

As Zen considered the situation, he realized there was a chance. With the aide of Supreme Lord Lester, he could bring back Margaret. That was only if Supreme Lord Lester was still alive and could perform the Heavenly Destiny of Revival.

He was standing there for a long while, lost in his thoughts when he felt someone's eyes on him. Lavender was watching him expectantly, a brow raised in question. Zen nodded at her once more, squeezing her hands in reassurance. He opened his mouth to relay his thoughts when an explosion thundered through the world. Following the sound was an epic shock wave, knocking them off their feet. It seemed the battle had already begun.

They all turned their gazes to the sky. The Grand Supreme Lord had led the Sacred Supreme Lords to this area for battle, instructing them to assemble all manners of weapons.

Wynn just happened to be a meticulous person as well. After learning just how powerful Pranav's reinforcements were, he knew that their Evolutionary Universe was weaker by comparison. He had tried his best to prevent the Sacred race from assembling their arrays. Anything to hinder the inevitable. It was precisely why he had taken action first!

The leader of the Celestial Position race and the Supreme Lords had understood that acting first was the best option as well. Zen and Lavender watched in awe as the Supreme Lords readied themselves, and then let loose every weapon they had.

There was no Star Sealing Technique to seal the Sacred Supreme Lords' space, no protection from the onslaught of attacks. After an attack, either side would keep their distance from one another. They didn't need to be close to the other to do damage.

“Crack!” The harrowing sound echoed through the sky.

It was the Space Law cracking apart. They watched as fissures opened up in the sky above the battle.

Those fighting in the sky must have not expected the outcome before, so they all started to flee. As many Supreme Lords escaped across the sky, others teleported to adjoining worlds. Ȓ𝘈𝐍ổ𝔟ƐṤ

Those that were left continued to fight, using all manners of strange abilities and superior strength. All around them more and more Heavenly Destinies were released.

A rumble rolled across the sky.

The earth below the sky was quivering.

It had only lasted less than thirty seconds, but the battle had resulted in the death of eight Supreme Lords. They had been the ones that were unable to teleport in time.

Five of the dead were Sacred Supreme Lords, the other three belonged to different races. One human and the other two ogres. The deaths were a result of the Sacred race being attacked off guard thanks to Wynn's forethought. It was the only explanation for how easily they had perished.

Across the sky it was a tangled melee among the Supreme Lords. To the eyes of the mortals below, it looked to be a free-for-all among the most powerful in the universe.

Zen stared at the sky, searching. His gaze finally landed on his target in the battle zone. He stood behind the chaos, the Great Weighty Sword loosely held in his hand.

There were five shallow finger imprints on the broad blade of the sword. They had been left there by Pranav when he grabbed it with just his hand. Zen's understanding of a True God was rough at best, but the power of Pranav far exceeded his expectation. He wondered what other surprises the True God had up his sleeve.

Glancing over to his left, Zen saw Wynn surrounded by oval shaped stars. Wynn stood at the center of the stars as they revolved around him. Sharp light emanated from the middle of the stars and extended out into points as if they were long spears. He was readying for a fight.

Pranav summoned five eyeballs around himself, each the size of a fist and of different colors. They represented the Five Elements Godly Way: silver for metal, green for wood, blue for water, red for fire, and brown for earth. All were refined from the eyeballs of a five-colored peacock. Zen had never laid eyes on such a weapon before.

Each time the eyes met the other's gaze, a beam of five-colored light would fly towards Wynn. However, Wynn was faster and able to dodge each time.

He had been correct. Pranav, although incredibly powerful, was no match for Wynn. He had a strength and battle prowess unheard of, and was easily able to thwart the enemy's attacks.

The sky roared once again.

Lavender and Zen looked away from Wynn and Pranav to see nine Genuine Dragons surge through the battlefield. They were resisting the array of eight Sacred Supreme Lords, their heavenly bodies easily deflecting spells and weapons. Another roar followed them through the sky, and the fighting stopped for a single moment. The Ancestral Dragon had joined the blood bath, and it changed everything.

A flash of light shot across the sky and then disappeared to reveal the unreachable pagoda. The Buddhist light dimly glowed along the walls of the building, casting an eerie light over the land.

The appearance of the pagoda was enough of a distraction for the Thoughtless Minds to act. They quickly arranged the Star Destroying Array, meteorites streaking across the sky in flames.

Supreme Lord Leroy, Supreme Lord of Oracle, Supreme Lord Mathias, and Supreme Lord Leia began to make use of their own unique talents.

A fierce and bloody battle waged between the leader of the Celestial Position race and the Grand Supreme Lord. Above them the sky opened further, and Zen watched in amazement as the Evolution Lotus Flower and the spinulose wood fern appeared. They continuously collided as the momentums of the two universes crashed into each other.

More explosions rang in their ears, the booming sounds nearly painful.

As the battle progressed, the Supreme Lords locked in battle had scattered. Now it wasn't only one supreme world affected, but a number of them were experiencing the chaos of war.

The terrifying power of the Supreme Lords was beginning to take its toll. It was too overpowering, and the supreme worlds began to crack and break apart under the assault.

No mortal had the chance or ability to resist the attacks on their world. There was no amount of prayer that would help them. The Gods were no longer listening as they were the reason for their downfall. Fear permeated the air as the ground shook and crumbled beneath their feet. Death was imminent. The weak and average would perish, animals and humans alike. Sacred places would cease to exist and kingdoms would be leveled. Very few would survive this cataclysmic event.

It had taken only two hours to utterly destroy over three hundred supreme worlds. Only two hours to kill millions. But the battle still continued.

Those from the ground that could aide in battle did. Lavender, with the assistance of Supreme Lord Healum, joined the fight. She had even managed to cut down one of the Sacred Supreme Lords who was besieged.

Zen remained on the boulder, uninterested in the fight above him. He was only interested in one battle. His gaze shifted to where Pranav stood, hatred making his vision go red.

Wynn, who had had the upper hand for most of their fight, was beginning to lose momentum. Their enemy had a trick up his sleeve, and activated some kind of secret technique. Neither Wynn nor Zen had seen anything like it. Zen could see the fear peeking out from Wynn's stony expression as Pranav took the upper hand.

A sound like a swarm of bees came from Pranav's direction.

The eyes surrounding Pranav began to flutter and move away from their master. They moved and intersected one another, and the closer they came to Wynn, the faster they moved. Wynn could go nowhere as they encircled him, trapping him in a loose circle.

It was not going to be easy, but Pranav hoped to defeat Wynn without the assistance of his master's other disciples. He knew he was weaker than his opponent. It was why this battle was a test of his strength and ability. His master was always watching, always assessing him. He considered this to be a training exercise, so Pranav would prove himself worthy.

“Five-element Energy Seal!” Pranav's booming voice echoed through the sky.

The eyes began to circle faster, the humming sound getting louder.

Zen took a single step forward, eyes wide. “That's not good.”

Crowding closer to Wynn, the eyes connected to one another, morphing into a solid ring of five colors. Wynn's expression was grave as he twisted his hands in an intricate pattern. It would be his only attempt to escape from the seal. If this failed, well, he didn't want to think of that.

“This Five-element Energy Seal is one of my master's secret techniques. How could a low-rank True God like you escape from it?” Wynn glared at the implication that Pranav thought him to be weak. A cold laugh sent a shiver up Wynn's and Zen's spines. Pranav thought this battle was as good as over, and victory would be his. He puffed up his chest and rolled his shoulders, gathering as much of his power into his body as he could. It was going to be such a simple task to kill Wynn.

Once Wynn was dead, the battle would be over. Or so Pranav believed.

He did not bother to think of the Supreme Lords battling throughout the sky. They were not his concern and were wasting their lives fighting in this battle.

“Now! Supreme Lord Healum, you have to get me over there!” Zen looked at Supreme Lord Healum with determination.

This was his only chance. Pranav was arrogant and self-assured of his victory, so it would be easy for Zen to swoop in unannounced and surprise him.

Supreme Lord Healum connected himself to Zen with the Space Lock. But after he heard the words that had been spoken, he wasn't sure if he should send Zen into battle against such a powerful opponent.

“There's no time to hesitate,”

Zen urged. This was what he had been waiting for. A chance at revenge.

His heart stuttered in his chest, the fear Supreme Lord Healum felt clear on his face. He did not wish to send Zen into the middle of a battle between two True Gods. However, he'd also witnessed the hidden strength in Zen and the amazing feats he had managed to perform. Perhaps he should believe in Zen to pull through once more.

Nodding to Zen, he gave him an encouraging smile. Hopefully it would give him enough luck to be successful in this crazy endeavor. It took only a second and very little of Supreme Lord Healum's power, and Zen disappeared from the boulder.

While Supreme Lord Healum had hesitated, Pranav had summoned five short swords before him, each corresponding with one of the eyes in color. The moment he waved his hand, the swords would shoot forward and pierce in the Five-element Energy Seal. As the seal trapped Wynn's Godly Tile, his source of power, he would be too weak to stop the attack. A wicked smile spread across Pranav's face.

Before he could deploy his attack, a force at his back broke his concentration and made him stumble forward. He didn't have time to turn around when he heard a voice ring out, “Wishing Spell!” His eyes widened when he realized it was that brat Zen. “I wish that the one hundred thousand supreme worlds would be eternal. I will do everything in my power and even sacrifice my life to exterminate the foreign race who has invaded!”

Zen had learned to use the Wishing Spell while in the Divine Refinement Forbidden Land.

He had never used the spell as the side effects were unpredictable, and it would exhaust much of his strength. However, he had no other choice now. In order to defeat Pranav he had to use it.
