Chapter 1336: Chapter 1336: The Fate Of The Eleven

Just by looking at these eleven warriors, the Thoughtless Minds had proven to the entire universe that they were the force with the greatest potentials.

Amongst the eleven warriors were Lawson, Nathan, Lucille, and Rocher. The first three were direct descendants of the big clans of the Thoughtless Minds. Rocher, on the other hand, had ascended to the region of the Thoughtless Minds, thus making him a legitimate member of the said force.

In other words, the Thoughtless Minds had obtained four seats out of the eleven, outnumbering the other forces.

The Demon Night, the ogres, and the Blessed Buddha Land each had obtained the only seat in the top eleven.

Meanwhile, the Humanity Alliance had almost failed to make it to this round.

The only Godly Genius from the Humanity Alliance who had made it into the top 300 was easily defeated by Lawson from the Thoughtless Minds. Therefore, he was eliminated and didn't make it to the top eleven. The Humanity Alliance was nearly off this game!

Luckily, there was Zen. Before the Illusion Battlefield had begun, Zen had ascended to one sacred place of the Humanity Alliance. Thus, he was considered a legitimate member of the alliance. He was now the last hope of the Humanity Alliance in the Illusion Battlefield.

Right now, the situation on the board had become quite complicated.

The tables had turned — the long line of white stones was cut off, giving the black stones the greatest advantage. Now, the black stones had successfully separated the territories the white stones had occupied

The Supreme Lords had hearts in their mouths with the sudden turn of events. They were like cats on hot bricks.

This game of Go symbolized the evolution of this grand era — the past, present, and future. In the beginning, the white stones' triumphs demonstrated the early years of this grand era up to the prosperity of the human race. This was the past.

Then, the disruption of the long line of white stones represented the fierce clash between the different forces. This was the present.

Now, the unexpected takeover of the black stones implied the turbulent future.

The white stones represented the stability of this grand era. So, the disruption of the white stones could be a prophecy of a massive crisis that was bound to happen in the future.

And judging by the current situation on the board, the Supreme Lords predicted that most of the races, including the greatest ones, would perish because of the crisis.

If the prophecy would happen, the universe could lose trillions of its population in an instant.

That could be the most disheartening situation to think about.

But since the game on the Heaven Earth Board was still on going, the situation could either still improve or worsen. If the white stones would get wiped out, it was very likely that all lives in the entire universe would perish, and this grand era would meet its end.

It was indeed that the fate of the universe, no matter how hard it was to comprehend, was already decided by the heavens.

Even the Supreme Lords felt powerless to change the seemingly inevitable chaotic future.

But if they couldn't do it, they rested their hopes in the protagonists in the world of chaos. They were told to be the strongest in the entire universe and the only people who could have the ability to change the fate of this grand era.

But this theory was only of the ordinary Supreme Lords.

The Supreme Lords of different ranks had different opinions and theories about everything.

Unlike the ordinary Supreme Lords, the top-rank Supreme Lords had different views about the fate of the entire universe.

The head of the Celestial Position race and Supreme Lord of Original Sin were some of these top-rank Supreme Lords.

Even though they weren't born in times of chaos, people could not argue with their profound thoughts and insights on more complicated matters.

These people were the few of the unrivaled geniuses in the entire universe in this grand era.

Now, all creatures had always wondered about two things: Was it impossible to change their destinies designed by the heavens?

Could there be a way for the Supreme Lords to break their Heavenly Destinies and become a True God?

The entire universe strongly believed that the rules of the heavens were carved in stone. However, for the top-rank Supreme Lords, they were convinced that rules were bound to be broken. If one had a strong understanding of a certain rule, then he would surely know a way to go around it. But to interpret the rules designed by the heavens, they must first uncover the secrets of how the world began. ṝÀ𐌽ỒᛒÈṢ

Meanwhile, the eleven warriors on the Heaven Earth Board were quietly waiting for the huge hand to appear in the sky and make the next moves.

It didn't take long for the hand to appear through the thick layer of clouds. The warriors kept their eyes locked on the hand as it slowly reached for a black stone. Everything and everyone went completely silent, even those watching from outside the Illusion Battlefield. The warriors were holding their breaths as they waited for the hand to choose one of them... and it was Margaret!

Snap!

The stone that Margaret was on was then placed on the board.

At this point, the game had reached its most crucial part where every move mattered. One wrong move and it would be game over!

But to everyone's surprise, Margaret's stone was placed at a corner that didn't make sense to the territories of both sides.

Everyone was left stunned by the last move.

No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't understand why the hand made a meaningless move with the black stone.

Margaret herself was dumbfounded by the move. She was a Go master herself; thus, she immediately recognized that the move was inappropriate.

The hand then made its move in the white stones.

And this time, it was Nathan from the Thoughtless Minds!

Anyone would normally feel unlucky and upset if they were to face Nathan in a battle.

However, at that moment, they considered Margaret as lucky.

This was because they noticed that the white stone was also placed at a rather strange spot.

The spots they were placed in were not strategic. And since no stone was pulled out from the game with these two moves, neither Margaret nor Nathan would be eliminated. They could choose not to fight, and admit defeat directly.

But Margaret was already thinking ahead of others. When she noticed that the white stone's placement wasn't anything strategic, she gently stepped down from the stone and stood on the board.

By just making it up to this point, she had already achieved the goal that her master had set for her.

Her master didn't require her to exert herself.

Moreover, this was not a knockout round so she didn't have to fight her opponent. Besides, she was slack in martial arts cultivation, so it was better for her not to face Nathan.

As soon as she stepped onto the board, she smiled sweetly and was ready to admit defeat.

For many, Margaret made a wise decision. They understood her intention considering the two recent moves. And who would want to face Nathan head-on?

But before Margaret could announce her surrender, Nathan cut her off and spoke, “Margaret, it's a great honor to spar with you!”

“What?” Margaret blinked in confusion. She smiled at him and explained, “You see, I have no intention to fight you. I admit defeat-”

“You can't!” Nathan interrupted.

“Why?” Margaret was confused. Why couldn't she admit defeat? Was it against any rule?

Nathan said with a faint smile, “Margaret, do you know that the situation on the Heaven Earth Board predicts our future?”

“Yes, I know. You don't have to tell me,” she replied dully. As a Go master, Margaret had fully understood the meaning of this game. However, she did not care about it at all or anything about the conflicts in the universe. She thought that those had nothing to do with her. The only reason she was here was because of the man she loved and she just wished to stay by his side forever.

Nathan was somehow disappointed by her indifferent reaction. But he then walked towards the other side of the board and said, “I've mastered not only martial arts but also astrology and divination. Look at the territory here! A white stone was captured here because you defeated that warrior!”

He pointed at a circle of black stones. There once stood an ace talent whom Margaret had defeated.

But Margaret said nothing in reply and just stared at Nathan with a more confused look. She felt perplexed because he didn't answer her question directly. She was getting more and more annoyed at Nathan. However, it would be impolite to interrupt his explanation, so she had no other choice but to keep listening.

Nathan then pointed at another corner and continued, “And here! Several black stones were captured here because I defeated those warriors! Although these two territories seem unconnected, they are truly the foundations of the succeeding moves!”

At first, everyone didn't get what Nathan was trying to explain. They were all confused just like Margaret. However, after he explained it this way, they began to realize what he wanted to prove.

After that, Nathan suddenly looked up at the sky. “If I guessed it right, both sides are going to defend their territories by competing in a line. And this is a joint effort of our previous moves! And that could only mean…”

He cleared his throat but didn't finish what he wanted to say.

It seemed as if he was speaking to both Margaret and the mysterious woman, but he was addressing the entire universe.

The faces of the wise men from the audience lit up when they finally realized the gist of Nathan's explanation.

Even the Supreme Lords could not believe that Nathan was able to come up with such a conclusion from the game.

“This boy is truly one of the most outstanding people in the entire universe. There's no need to calculate the future of this world of chaos. He'll be number one!”

“What a shame! Although I'm a Supreme Lord who have lived for hundreds of millions of years, I was wrong in my interpretation of the game. Indeed, this boy has a much deeper insight than me!”

“Nathan, once again, you've made me proud! You never let me down!”

The audience became loud as the Supreme Lords shared their praises towards Nathan at the same time. Their praises had spread throughout the entire universe through the Roaring Tokens.

The only people who couldn't hear their voices were the remaining eleven warriors in the Illusion Battlefield.

Margaret was still lost with Nathan's theory. Although she clearly understood the game of Go, she knew nothing about the arts of calculation and prediction so she couldn't understand Nathan's words at all.

“To be honest, I don't understand a word you're saying. I don't have time to fight you, so I have got to go! Bye!” she said.

Despite Nathan's impassioned speech, Margaret turned around and left without the slightest hesitation. Once she returned to the black stone, she would be considered to have given up on this fight.

Nathan didn't expect that Margaret would leave immediately. But he insisted on making her stay to fight and called her back. “Wait a minute!”

Margaret turned around with her eyebrows raised and face filled with impatience. This time, she couldn't hide her anger towards Nathan, “Just tell it to me directly! Stop beating around the bush! I don't understand what you're trying to imply!”

“I mean, this game of Go not only represents the future of the universe but also indicates the fates of the eleven people here. Don't you know? We are now the protagonists of this world of chaos. And your fate is closely intertwined with mine, so you will be my woman in the future!” Nathan tried to explain it as straightforward as possible to Margaret. Despite the awkwardness of the situation, his face remained calm.

For a moment, Margaret stood there dumbfounded and stared at him blankly.

Nathan tried to remain composed. He was radiating with overflowing confidence. He knew he was a man of great charm. And now that he was part of the top eleven, there was no denying that he had become every woman's dream. Now, he couldn't imagine how Margaret would react to his confession. Would she jump for joy? Would she kiss and hug him?

But contrary to what he anticipated, Margaret asked with disdain, “Are you nuts?”
