“Shrishti!” I whispered seeing her leave just like that and what kills me more is her asking me to first think about my business now and then we can talk to each other.

“How dare he to talk to me in that tone? Doesn’t he know who I am? I will show him what will happen if he looks down on our family.” Dad burst out.

“I will arrange a better marriage for you, Nitish. What is their family for me? It was all just an arranged scheme and there are better ones out there who can even save your company from this contract.” He added and I immediately glanced at him with disbelief.

“Do you even hear yourself, Dad? She is not just an arranged scheme for me. She is my future wife and just remove all those thoughts from your head.” I warned him and he shook his head.

“If you don’t listen to me, then I will just remove the investment from your company along with my thoughts. Will it be fine?” he threatened me and I laughed helplessly hearing those words.

“He is not going to follow any of your plans now. Just leave him alone.” Mom shouted at him reaching my side.

“Don’t open your mouth unnecessarily when we know he is going to follow my words as he doesn’t have any other option.” He said waving her off.

“He has another choice. I can just divorce you and get my share from your property as alimony and put every single rupee in his business. Do you want that? You can even forget to get a nomination for this year’s election when I go out and explain what kind of husband and father are you.” She warned for the first time in my life but it didn’t seem anything to me right now.

“You! I will deal with you both later.” Saying that he walked away taking out his phone while I rubbed my face feeling tired with everything.

All I know right now is to follow Shrishti and apologize for lying to her and hiding these things and also to let her expose to their actions all this time. With that in mind, I took a step forward but stopped with a hold on my hand.

“Nitish! Did you see how she left the moment she finds any of your wrongdoings? But I will never do that and will even help you to get success just like this one. And didn’t we break up because I was going away? I will not leave your side again and we can get back together.” Lisa rushed her words holding my hand while I just closed my eyes.

“Don’t listen to that Anny’s words and will I ever want you to get ruined? Just trust me!” I immediately pushed her away making her fall down not able to bear anymore and even doesn’t care whether she is a woman or not.

“Nitish!” I heard Rohan’s voice and immediately turned to stare at him.

“What? Want to lecture me on how I could hurt her in this manner?” I shouted and he shook his head before kneeling down.

“I am sorry! It was my mistake regarding Anny’s matter which caused you all that loss and I was desperate to help you in any way possible. It was my mistake to trust this person and do everything she asked me to without thinking and I just ended up making this blunder. I am sorry! I will try everything to help you to come over this.” He pleaded while I looked away.

“I had enough of your help, Rohan. All you can do right now is to leave my company and never stand before me. Also, take this person with you if possible.” I stated and Lisa shouted hearing those words.

“Don’t say that, Nitish! Hey… don’t drag me… stop it, Rohan.” She shouted and I immediately heard a slap and turned to find Mom standing before her and She slapped again before Lisa could react.

“Don’t say a word, Lisa! Is this what you are? I have known your parents for all these years and all they do is praise you. Do they know how you were living your life all this time? You have a family who can support you lifelong but still, you went this way and even ruined all your friend’s lives.” Mom shouted staring at her while Lisa covered her cheek in shock.

“I will call her parents to inform them of these things and no need to waste a second on her.” She added taking out her phone.

“No, Aunty! Don’t do that! They were already wishing for me to get out of this industry as I was not getting any roles but now they will just lock me down. All I wanted was to marry Nitish and get settled, Aunty. I just wanted to help him to have a good life with this contract.” Lisa begged her but she had already dialed the number.

“Let’s go, Lisa! I will drop you in the city on my way so that you don’t disturb them.” Rohan said holding her hand to drag her away again but she pushed him off.

“Just because I was close to you until now doesn’t mean you can make me do whatever you want. I was just using you and you are nothing before me to even touch my hand.” She threw words around but ended up getting dragged away by Rohan and Mani and I didn’t even glance at them again.

I took a step towards the door only to lose my balance and fell down on the floor not feeling any pain.

“Nitish! I am sorry! I… tell me what to do to help you.” Mom pleaded but I shook my head before slowly standing up.

“I don’t care about the business right now. I need to go and be with Shrishti. She is pregnant, Mom. I am going to be a Dad. It was such happy news but all I know is that she was sad during such time. I don’t want her to be like that anymore, Mom.” I said brushing my tears away.

I don’t care about what is going on with NK right now and even though Shrishti asked me to solve that, I don’t want to think about anything else right now except to see Shrishti.

I need to… I need to rush back to the city and find transportation to go back to Mumbai. But… what if they are going to stay in the city for today? Whom should I call? I groaned taking out my phone to try her number itself.

“How are you going to take care of her and your baby with no way to support them?” We both turned to find Kanika walking towards us from the door.

I felt hope seeing her as it means, Shrishti is still here or at least in the city or I can just follow Kanika.

“I will think of something and then…” she cut me off asking, “Then what will you do when the artists under your company sue you?”

“Go to jail and support them?” she continued and I stared at her frowning.

“If you just go and concentrate on solving this problem who knows how long will it take or whether it will get solved in the first place, then you would be staying away from Shrishti who would be sad until you solve everything or even move on from you.” What does she want to say as she is just saying no matter what I do it will be a problem.

“You have three options, Nitish. One is to follow Shrishti by forgetting your company and the second is to concentrate on the company by leaving Shrishti alone for who knows how long.” She commented and my Mom asked what is the third option.

“Keeping your ego or any kind of feeling aside and ask for Vikranth’s help which would, in turn, help you with solving the business issue and also be with Shrishti to make her happy again.” I stared at her in silence and she didn’t say anything after that.

“Nitish! Follow her words and do it. I know I am also at fault and I will do everything to not let your Dad stop you or keep you away from Shrishti.” Mom promised looking at me.

“Mom! Don’t be with him for my sake. Leave him and live your life.” I whispered staring at her for a few seconds before following Kanika to leave the place and on the way asked the helpers to continue to take care of the place and I will contact them soon.

When we both stepped out of the house, I found the car waiting at the gate but Kanika suddenly stopped to glance at me and I glanced back thinking she has to say something to me.

“I know you are coming with me to just be with Shrishti and think of some other solution for your company. But let me tell you a secret.” She said before leaning closer and I felt a bit guilty and also surprised that she found out my plan.

“Vikranth and I already divorced and of course this shouldn’t matter to you. But what should matter to you is, it is not just one-sided from Shrishti all those years when she liked Vikranth. He started liking her way before Shrishti started to I think and he still likes her. So, do you want to give her a safe future with her not worrying about you or make her worry all the time about you with a person who likes her and also an established one at that staying close to her to give her the security?” she asked before leaning back while I stood there stunned.

“If you don’t want Vikranth’s help then don’t come with us and don’t act before me. And also decide before I reach the car.” Saying that she started walking away.

I am shocked, amazed, and even disturbed by her words just now. There are so many questions and so many feelings entering my mind at a time.

However, I am ready to do anything to be with Shrishti and if that means I have to beg Vikranth to help me then I will.

I don’t think there is any other choice as my mind is also not working and I don’t know whom to trust anymore. I don’t want to even trust anyone right now except for Shrishti.

And Shrishti trusts him, that is enough for me. I took a deep breath and ran to reach the car before she can touch the handle.

“Kani! I am tired! What were you doing?” the door opened from inside and I found Anny stare at Kanika and then at me with a confused look.

“I will! She is all that matters.” I whispered reaching Kanika’s side.

“He is coming with us.” Kanika stated and Anny immediately opened her mouth but Kanika shook her head which made her close it but continued to frown at me.

“I am going back to sleep.” Saying that she got down and reached the back door to get inside.

“What is happening? Where are you going, Anitha?” Prathap asked getting down and stared at me in shock for a second before glaring at me.

“He is coming with us. Anny is going to sleep in the back.” Kanika explained and he frowned before finally shifting to go sit in the back with her.

“It is not going to be easy.” Saying that she opened the passenger door before getting into the car.

It is definitely not going to be easy but it doesn’t matter to me. With that thought, I opened the middle door and found her sleeping while leaning on the window.

I sighed in relief finally seeing her this soon instead of waiting like that thought and got into the car only to meet Vikranth’s stare who is looking straight at me while turning his body.

“Shrishti doesn’t want you to be here.” He stated and I nodded at his words.

“I need a lift back to Mumbai and also need an appointment to meet you on Monday." I explained and he didn’t react to those words but glanced at Kanika.

“Want me to wake Shrishti up to see what she wants after hearing his words?” Kanika asked him and I felt so grateful to have at least Kanika on my side.

But her earlier words didn’t seem like she is on my side. However, it doesn’t matter if she helps me to be with Shrishti in any way.

“Just a lift! And I don’t give personal appointments. Give a call to my office.” Saying that he started the call and I sighed in relief before reaching closer to Shrishti’s sleeping body while ignoring other’s cold glares.

I shifted her body to lean over me so that she can rest properly and there is a sense of relief and hope raising in my heart. I shifted my other hand to place it over her stomach and smiled while hugging her closer.

I closed my eyes to ignore others’ looks and stayed like that while others finally calmed down and started talking among themselves.
