Chapter 18: Chapter 18
Someone was holding me tight and crying but I don't know who is the person. Why I could only hear the voice but couldn't see anything? There was darkness everywhere and I try to open my eyes but fail miserably. The person begs me to come back but I don't know how. It's a male voice who is constantly calling my name and begging me not to leave it.
The sound seems familiar, the same husky voice which creates something weird but nice in me, that voice and then the person groan in pain. I only listen but then I remember the voice his voice Anord. I open my eyes and found there person looking at me. Cres gave me a glass of water and Swez tell me to relax.
" Bad dream?" Charles asked me with worried expression.
I nodded and Swez tell me that how can I get the nightmares cause there is nothing bad happened in my life which me to question her back.
"Oh then you could only have nightmares and I couldn't have. It's normal and do not forget many things had happened which has scared me." I try to sound normal as possible.
" That's the problem Ukrine. You will not be able to overcome the fear and it will hunt you. You will be so lost that.." before she could say further I cut her.
"So you do have nightmares but never spoke to us. Why you don't think we should know? and you know I dislike liars." I bore holes on her face.
Swez was looking for answers then Charles hungry stomach distracts us. Cres invite him and Swez to have breakfast but Swez decline the offer. I told her to go but she said she wanted to stay with me. Cres took Charles with her and told me took my medicine. The medicine has damaged my taste bud and I miss my ice cream a lot.
Swez seem to hide something from me which is very big and also she is not comfortable to share it with me. Maybe Charles have some idea, I must ask him and know what is the problem. Swez kept quiet all the time and excuse herself to go to washroom. I see some men outside my room with a stern looking following the command. Who might be the commander? I ask to myself. Umm.. none other than Anord.
He might be behind it but where is he. He hadn't come to see me and the hole. What was that? How can he do it and is his hands okay. It might have fractured like mine.The smiling face of Tate made me to come back to reality.
" Thinking about someone. Huh.. the feeling of missing it really sucks." He said keeping the bags on the side table.
Before I could reply, Swez came out from the washroom and Tate look at her. Both were looking at each other like they have meet before and clarifying their doubts. Most importantly shocked was evident in both looks. I try to move a bit then the spoon fell down and broke their staring competition.
"Tate, I am feeling hungry and don't stare at my best friend like that I will tell Lexie about it. First give me my breakfast and Swez to." I try to ignore their acts.
Tate gave us the breakfast and sit on the sofa. Swez feel uncomfortable and she act different. Tate was looking at the front wall and thinking something god knows what. I finished the breakfast and Swez too finish at the same time. I ask her if she was okay but she just nod.
This Swez was different as I have seen her always strong and nothing can disturb her but there was something big happening which I am not aware of. Swez phone was ringing but she just ignored the call. I told her to pick up the call but she just make weird faces. She is one who told me have training as we could save ourselves during the difficulties and fight our own battles. Now I know where I get the fighting skills from.
" You can leave us alone. I am here to take care of her." I heard Swez speaking but to whom.
"Yes, but I am said to stay here for the help." Tate said.
"Swez, is right we are thankful for your work but we wouldn't need it anymore. We are leaving for town." Dad voice came.
"Uncle, you are right. We should leave and take her to the big hospital. I will call Charles." Swez supported dad.
I give suspicious look to Sewz as she never agrees with my dad as she find him boring as he is the boring man in my life. He knows work and work only nothing more than that.
"But you have agreed to stay until she get better."Tate said.
" Yeah, but it will not be good. I don't think we should give you all trouble. The rule here are different and we think we cannot follow it. It's far away from the town and nobody know when something might happen." Dad told taking his phone out.
"But Dad, we need to follow the rules wherever we go and I don't think it's good to leave."I told him.
"Ukrine, try to understand this place is full of danger. I mean it's in the outskirts of city and there are many animals attack. I don't want to risk your life our life." Swez replied.
"I don't think your reason is correct as where ever we go there will be problems and Dad you told me to fight back right but now you are backing out. Give me the good reason then I will leave."I told them.
"Ukrine,.." Swez was about to say something when Dad yell at me.
"Enough, you two. If I am saying we are leaving then we will. No arguments." His voice make me flinch and I feel bad. Tears were about to flow but I controlled. I won't go until I find out the reason of my closeness to this place and till I uncover his secrets. Anord wait for me, I will find you.
