Chapter 125: Chapter 125

Theo stares down the female in front of him with squinted eyes. He is surprised by the calmness and unaffected expression on her face.

She is dressed in a navy blue T-shirt and black pants. Her hair is cut short till her shoulders and dyed a platinum blond colour. On her face is heavy makeup, her eyes are lined with black kohl smudged at the edges and her lips are painted red. Her eyes look pitch black, maybe lenses. Her nose and right eyebrow are pierced and rings dangle at both places. She is carrying a bag pack that looks like it has seen better days.

Theo has seen pictures of Alana and the woman in front of him looks nothing like her. Maybe he’d noticed the resemblance if he met her before all this but right now he feels like someone else is standing in front of him.

Theo and Kira have been waiting for her to reach the pack borders since yesterday. Theo has already informed Kira and the Alpha and they should be here any minute now. They haven’t captured Alana as an intruder since she never crossed the border. She actually asked the warriors to call the Alpha and Luna because she wanted to talk. Besides, Alpha had clearly instructed him to not do anything that would waste time and make Alana refuse to help us.

Suddenly the air shifts and fear momentarily enters Alana’s eyes.

AAh…the power of the Trueblood aura!

“Alpha.” Alana greets the Alpha of the Blue Orchid pack in a raspy voice.

Alpha Azraiel nods at her and asks, “State your name and purpose for being here.”

“My name is Alana Seashore and I am a witch. I have information that might be useful for you.”

“Hmmm” Azraiel hums with a neutral face.

“So you are not here because you seek refuge?” He quirks one eyebrow and questions.

“Th-That too.” Alana stutters and her mask of indifference starts to crack.

“Okay. How do I know that you are not a mole who wants to infiltrate my pack?”

“I- I am running from Richard. You already know that. My pack has already banished me and I have no one in the human world who I could connect with. I just want to save my life from Richard.” She tries to reason.

Alpha Azraiel quietly scrutinizes her from head to toe and then looks into her eyes with a deadpanned expression.

“If I find that you lied to me or ever betrayed me, I’ll rip your heart out with my bare hands,” Alpha says it in a monotonous voice but the threat makes even Theo’s heart thump wildly and it wasn’t even directed at him.

“Y-Yes..Understood.”

“I’ll allow you to stay here and protect you from Richard but I have some conditions. You’ll do as I say. You’ll help us in my mate’s shift and you’ll never use magic without my permission as long as you are under my protection.” Alpha clearly states what she is expected to do in the pack.

“Yes, Alpha.” Alana nods.

“You’ll not associate with any of my pack members unless necessary. You’ll be given a house outside the pack borders and you’ll never enter my pack unaccompanied.” Alpha Azraiel adds.

“Yes, Alpha.” Alana agrees to the conditions.

Theo slightly looks to the side when he hears the footsteps.

Kira and Charlotte are walking towards them with Kira looking excited and Charlotte looking confused.

They come and stand a bit behind the Alpha.

Alana’s eyes are now stuck on Charlotte. It’s clear from her face that she recognizes her.

“Kira?” Alpha Azraiel looks at her.

“Yes, Alpha?”

“I want you to bind her magic so that she can’t perform any magic until you break the spell.” Alpha orders Kira while looking at Alana.

She visibly gulps at the power and threat present in his voice and words.

“Yes, Alpha.”

Kira steps forward and starts chanting something in a language that none of them understand.

Soon the intensity of her chant starts increasing and a gush of wind surrounds Alana. She tenses and clenches her teeth and palms.

The wind keeps increasing as do Kira’s chants.

And then it’s just silence.

Kira is breathing heavily by the end, and Alana’s whole body is covered in sweat. She looks like she is about to faint.

“It’s done.” Kira says and steps back.

“Theo, ask someone to bring food and clothes for her to the shack outside our borders.”

Theo nods and mindlink a warrior for the same.

“Let’s go. I don’t want to waste any time.” Alpha Azraiel says and starts walking towards the area where the dungeons and cells are.

They walk behind the cells and a small wooden shack comes into their sight. Theo was asked to prepare a place for her outside the borders and he did.

“Go in.” Alpha says to her and follows her inside. Everyone else too enters the shack.

It’s a small cabin. There’s a bed pushed to the wall and some chairs are placed in front of it. A door leads to the bathroom and a small wooden platform looks like a kitchen with some utensils and a kettle placed on it.

Everyone sits down on the chairs.

“Now, first I want you to tell me everything that you know about Richard without lying and leaving any single thing out.” Alpha commands.

Alana nods.

“I- I met Richard a few years back when I was banished from my pack.” She begins.

“Some of my pack members were hunting me down because they wanted to kill me. To escape them I entered the human world. Richard found me in a train and followed me from there. At that time, there weren’t so many supernaturals in the human world moving so freely. We both knew that we were supernaturals. He offered me a deal.”

“What kind of deal?” Kira asks.

“He wanted me to help him find the white wolves and in return, he’d help me throw my enemies off my back. I was scared and alone at that time. Since I had no other option, I accepted his offer.”

“Okay. Fair enough. But, why did he want to find the white wolves and what is his real identity?”

“He-he..” Alana hesitates as she looks at Charlotte briefly. “He wants to find and kill all the white wolves.”

Alana gulps before uttering the words that shock each one of them to the core.

“His real name is Austin Jones of the Black Onyx pack.”
