Chapter 91: Chapter 91

"Oh, hi, Olivia." Alpha Clause muttered with a raised brow in question as we both turned to her.

"Hi!" She exclaimed excitedly as she grinned at him, but her grin dropped and a frown fell on her brows as she looked at me with Alpha Clause's arm around me.

She scratched her blonde hair as she gave me a tight smile, "Hi, you must be Luna Fay."

"Yeah, and you must be Olivia, Alpha Clause's childhood friend that has come to visit us." I replied to Olivia, awkwardly with a tight smile too.

"Yep, that's me! I heard so much about you when I came over yesterday."

Olivia smiled happily at me while I just nodded back, feeling uncomfortable by the attention of the two of them.

Alpha Clause let go of my arms and Olivia frowned slightly, looking between us for a few moments before she spoke up again. "Well, it was nice meeting you Luna Fay!"

"You too, Olivia." I said as I felt awkward that she was my mate's close friend that was a female.

She looked at Alpha Clause as she added, "So what are your plans for today, Clause? Want to go running in the woods like we usually do?"

He started laughing as he shook his head no. "I'm afraid not, Olivia unless my Luna mate wants to tag along."

Olivia sighed as she pouted cutely. "Aw, but I want to run with only you, Clause. Just like old times."

"Sorry, Olivia." He chuckled nervously before adding, "I don't think Luna would like just the two of us to run through the woods when she's my Luna mate. Besides, I can't just go on a run without her now that I know her."

Olivia smiled sadly at him and then turned to look at me, "Hey, Luna... You're not going to get mad at me if I go running with Clause, are you?"

"No, it's fine. I'll feel better knowing that you guys will be out there together." I told her as I tried to force a smile even though it was obvious that I didn't want them to go alone and that I was just being nice about it.

Olivia smiled brightly at me before turning to Alpha Clause, "Okay, come on now, Cla-"

"Wait!" Alpha Clause interrupted her as he gave her a firm stare.

She paused and turned around to face him just as he said to her with a small frown on his brows, "Sorry, but I can't go running just you and I, Olivia. You should know that Fay is only being nice about it, but it would really hurt her. I expected better from you than to behave this way. I already told you many times that I am only interested in my true mate and not you."

Olivia bit her bottom lip and held her hands up to defend herself, "But..."

"You're right, Olivia." He interrupted her again as he sighed deeply, "I'm sorry, but I have no choice. Unless you agree to run as a group."

"Fine, I understand, Clause." Olivia muttered as she huffed.

A sad expression crossed her face as she looked down at the ground while she mumbled, "I guess I'll just stay here until you're done running."

"Alright, I'm glad you understand." He answered as he turned towards me with a relieved smile.

I gave him a smile in return and a nod before I took his hand in mine and lead him out of the room.

"Don't worry about her, Luna." Alpha Clause whispered softly into my ear as he held onto my hand tightly with his other one as we walked down the hallway.

"It's okay, Clause. I'm used to it." I answered as I squeezed his hand gently as I glanced up at him.

"Good." He breathed out as he leaned down to give me a soft kiss on my lips.

The kiss lasted longer than usual and we both pulled away after a moment and gazed at each other in a heated gaze.

"Let's go outside and take a walk, Clause." I suggested as I ran my fingers through his dark hair.

"Sure, baby." He whispered as he smiled brightly at me.

I smiled back at him and then led him outside. We walked down the sidewalk and across the street where there were trees lining the road. The day had started off cold, but the sky was mostly blue and the sun was shining brightly. It was still chilly enough to wear a jacket and I was thankful for that since the weather in our country was always changing.

We continued walking down the road until we reached the edge of the forest. It was a large area of land that stretched all the way to the beach. There were plenty of trees everywhere in the forest and they blocked out most of the sunlight during the day.

There wasn't anyone else around except for the few people who lived near the forest and a couple of stray animals that sometimes wandered into town.

"Clause, I'd like to show you something in the forest." I informed him as I pressed my hand against his chest.

He looked down at me and then nodded, "Sure, let's go."

We walked past the edge of the forest and into an open field in front of the beach. It was a long stretch of grassy land with a large boulder in the middle of it. The ocean was visible from the top of the rock, which was why we decided to go there.

"What is it you wanted to show me, my Fay?" Clause asked me curiously as he looked around at the sea.

"This place." I explained as I stared out at the waves.

"Is this your favorite spot? Is that what you showed me?" He questioned me as he looked at me with a curious expression.

"Yes, it's my favorite spot since I came here." I answered confidently.

"You've never shown me this place before." Clause realized as he tilted his head curiously.
