I clenched my teeth in anger and jealousy at seeing her throw hints at my Alpha mate and trying to seduce him. She lowered her voice as she added, "But it doesn't matter anyway since you will be there to protect us, Alpha Clause."

How dare that bitch try to seduce my mate and right in front of me AND Alpha Wyatt who was in the middle seat? My wolf growled in my head, also feeling as angry as I was feeling. But before I could say what was on my mind, Alpha Clause said to her in a cold voice, "I'm sure that Alpha Wyatt is there to protect you while I protect my Luna mate."

Her gaze moved to Alpha Wyatt who was talking with Alpha Nathan as she looked nervous before looking back at him with a forced smile on her face, "Of course, he will protect me."

"Great, I'm glad that you understand that now." I muttered through clenched teeth as I narrowed my eyes at her threateningly. Didn't she know that he was in the car before?

She clenched her own jaw in anger and the go of her fake smile as a sarcastic look showed on her face. However, she didn't reply and only glanced at Alpha Wyatt again before looking out the window on her side. It really made me curious what was going on between Alpha Wyatt and Luna Ashley, and if that was part of why she was trying to seduce my Alpha mate. A relieved sigh left my lips as I nodded, my lips stretching into a smile and I replied in a whisper, "Yeah, I know that, but it's also unsettling that she's trying to seduce you when her Alpha mate is right there. This makes me think that there's something going on with the relationship between them. I mean, they don't even seem close more did he try to comfort her earlier."

He let go of my chin as he glanced at Alpha Wyatt before looking at Luna Ashley then back at me, "I agree with you and I believe that too since I've been noticing that their interactions have become off over these few years."

"So why do you think that is?" I asked him, feeling curious as to what was going on.

"I don't know, but I think it has to do with either her personality or the fact that she's actually his second mate." He answered me as he leaned closer so that she nor him would not hear our conversation.

I gasped in shock since I didn't expect that he had another Luna mate before her, "Oh? So you're saying that his mate passed away and he chose her as his mate?"

He nodded as we both glanced at Luna Ashley who had her earpiece on while listening to music on her phone as she looked out her window. He looked back at me as he explained further, "Exactly, and Luna Ashley's mate rejected her, so she quickly agreed when he asked her to be his second mate. However, they seemed to be unhappy, especially since we're starting to see her flaws."

"Wow! I thought that I was the only one that was onto her since she likes acting so innocent, but it seems that you and him have also noticed her hypocritical behavior." I replied in a whisper as I looked over at her again then at Alpha Wyatt who was still talking to Alpha Nathan.

"Of course, I've noticed her behavior and how she acts innocent when she really isn't, but the other Lycan Alphas seemed to be oblivious along with the other Luna's except for you and Luna Kat."

"Crap! What the hell?!" We heard Carter curse out as the car screeched to a stop.

We all turned to look through the windshield to see what was going on. To my surprise, a vampire stood in front of the car as he growled at us with his fangs out and his red eyes flashing. Four other vampires flanked his sides as they neared the car. Alpha Clause frowned as he exclaimed in disgust and anger, "Vampires!"

"The filthy blood suckers!" Alpha Nathan cursed out as he snarled, glaring at the vampires outside the car.

"We need to get out and fight them before they try sinking their fangs into our necks!" Alpha Clause said in a firm voice as he glanced at everyone and they all looked at him.

"Yeah." They answered in agreement and all started opening their doors.

Alpha Clause glanced at me with concern on his face as he said, "You have to be careful, my Fay because one vampire bite could lead to our death since their bites become venom when taken into our werewolf system."

I nodded my head as I readied myself for a fight, "Okay, honey, be careful too."

His lips twitcjed up into a smile as he muttered, "Don't worry about me, baby, I will be fine."

As soon as the car's back doors opened, Alpha Nathan and Alpha Wyatt jumped out, hitting the vampires that were at the doors and clearing the path for us to climb out including Luna Ashley.
