Emerald black

I whimpered in pain, it had been only about three hours into my heat and it just seems to be getting worse. I have managed to cross the river but I still haven't seen my mate. He is the only one who can take this pain away from me.

I had no other options, either mate with my mate or wait for death to slowly take me away. I remember the words of a penny the old witch, how the heat will reduce my life span if I don't mate with Rain immediately and also attract other male wolves to me.

I didn't like that, hell. I didn't even like the idea of mating with Rain immediately. He was only coming after me because Christabel had told him everything he needs to know and now he knows he was my cure. He won't mate me because he loves me but to save his life.

I couldn't bear the thought of myself submitting to a male wolf, a male who thought of me as nothing but a weak, fragile, submissive, someone who would bow down to his feet all the time and kiss his ass.

A male wolf who didn't want me as an equal and the moon goddess was to blame for all this.

But as I took a step forward the pain only increased, I lowered my body and took a rest because the pain only increased with each step I took. I had managed to run in my wolf form once I left penny coven so when she got too tired to continue I transformed back into a human.

My wolf howled, calling the attention of my mate. There was no doubt that when a male wolf hears my wolf's cries of heat then they would come running, and now if my mate doesn't get here on time I will be a defenseless she-wolf in the mist if dangerous wolves like rogues could devour.

My ears twitched using my wolf heightened senses, I heard a twig snap, lifting my head a little hoping our mate found us, I looked at the approaching male that was slowly walking towards her- the hunger clear in his eyes. He wasn't my mate, he was ugly, lanky with bloodshed eyes, and smells disgusting. He was a rogue.

He walked closer to me and they were nothing I could do as he started rubbing up against me putting his scent on me and I purred in delight- I couldn't help it, I and my was on our heat and the sight of any male made us want to mate with them but the old witch penny said they couldn't save me even though I mate with them.

"Aren't I a lucky guy," He licked his licks in appreciation as he continue rubbing himself against me, did I forget to mention he was naked.

"Don't worry baby, I will end your pain." He said still licking his lips together and I shivered in disgust. Where was my mate when I needed him the most?

The dirty rogue was about to remove my clothes, he froze as another growl broke out, vibrating throughout the forest and both our heads snapped towards it. The power and strength in that growl can not be dismissed. I started to panic as my wolf went hectic about the smell that hit me.

I knew what was coming but was I ready, to submit to him now, and for, was I ready to submit to a male, was ready to sit down and behave at everything he says and tells me to do, was I ready to leave my lack and be an obedient Luna. I watched as a huge gray wolf, larger than any wolf I had seen approach me, the same wolf I saw on the magic mirror back at the coven.

He wasn't just a wolf, he was an Alpha. He was my mate.

The power and strength radiated from him in waves, sending shocks throughout my body. I watched as the male wolf lowered his head in submission.

I didn't like this one bit as my wolf started howling and going crazy.

Mate.

My wolf chanted.

His grey eyes clashed with my green ones, he looked happy to see me but pissed.

The grey daggers turned into two black eyes, he let out a loud growl and approached the male who was still on my side.

"A-alpha, forgive me..." the man said and slowly backed away from me. His head was still bent in submission.

My mate didn't seem pleased with his response and I watched as the man slowly backed away. But before he took out into a full-on sprint my mate bit into his neck, ripping his flesh and tearing him into pieces.

I watched in shock as he ripped the wolf up in seconds.

Our mate is strong.

I scowled at her my wolf thoughts but I couldn't help but secretly agree, I reminded my wolf that we are independent and don't need to depend on a man like him.

"So you would have loved it if the disgusting rogue man mated you instead of your soulmate?"

I didn't answer her question and my eyes snapped towards my mate who shifted back into his human form, although I didn't like my mate right now I appreciated how he looked. He was sculpted to perfection, his muscles looked hard and I couldn't help but think how it would feel against me.

I slowly drew my eyes towards his face and gasped quietly, he was perfect. Black curly hair, sharp jawline, kissable lips. He looked like he was built for both pleasure and destruction.

"He's our mate."My wolf said in excitement. I shook her head, although he looked perfect it doesn't mean she will still accept him as her mate and mate with him as penny had suggested.

"Mine," He said.

He made it seem like I was an obsession and an animal for him to tame and own like I belonged to him and have no option. I was Pissed at myself for thinking about how would he feel buried inside me. I should be running but instead, I let out a sexual sigh.

"I can smell his scent on you and I don't like it" He snarled coming closer to me.

" It's not my fault, you can see I'm on my heat and defenseless, so why are you here."

" I'm here for you baby. "Rain said with a confident smirk. The word baby made me feel happy and weird at the same time, but no doubt I love the way the word rolled out of his tongue.

" I rejected you, didn't I?."I said with a passive look.

" Yes, you did but I didn't accept your rejection and I will never. "he said with determination, clenching his fist.

" Why is that. "I asked with a raised eyebrow.

" Because believe it or not Emerald, you are mine to love, to care for, and your body is mine to worship, believe it or not, Emerald Black, I love you."
