Emerald Black

My wolf was distressed and since she was distressed it was making me feel depressed. A week had passed and my wolf couldn't stop whining. She wanted to see him again. To feel the sparks that we shared. To hear his deep voice that brought joy to our ears. His hot kisses all over our body and beck. His long sword pressed against my core and to finish what we started in the forest.

But ever since we walked out on him, the asshole didn't bother calling again or make any move on our on-hold mate bond. it's like he was happy that he was free, from his mate he couldn't control. I gave him an ultimatum, that’s when he's ready to be my equal he should come back to me and we shall proceed with the mate bond, but here I was still waiting hopelessly for a week. I don't have much time left, time was running out of my life like a speed of light.

I let out a sigh as I looked at my hourglass, I had only two months and a week left to leave.

I hated him so much for making me lose concentration on important pack works and training. I haven't been able to get any work done or do anything reasonable because my mind always skips back to him every five seconds.

I needed a break from wallowing in my self-pity. I stood off from my office to my room and change from my long purple dress, I put on sports leggings and a sports bra and strap on my leather fingerless gloves. I walk outside and let the cool air wrap around my skin. I love nature, it calms me, makes me feel invisible.

I shiver a bit but brought my wolf forward and warm me up, my wolf could control my body temperature with her inner heat. I jumped up and hung on a branch on an apple tree I planted years ago. I remembered being side the garden planting some fruits when Christabel ran to me with tears on her face telling me my papa was dead.

I dropped to my feet and took a few deep breaths. I look at the top of the tree and started climbing. I grab the trunk of the tree and start climbing up the tree.

On the way up, I could see my breathing in the air. As I was almost to the top of the tree, small snowflakes started to fall from the sky.

My chest heaved up and down as I sat on the top, wondering and wishing why mate wasn't with me. This was all his fault if only he didn't kiss me then I will feel better but now his sweet delicious kiss which I couldn't get out of my head and dream about every night.

"Alpha it's time for training," Ethan said looking up at me. He was wearing black leather pants and a black sleeveless shirt. These past few days Ethan has been behaving strangely, I asked him what was wrong but he refused to tell me. One of these days I was going to corner him secret and demand he tells me what's wrong.

"Ok, I will be right there, "I said jumping down from the tree with agility.

This was my life, same old same old, wakeup, eat, bath, training, sign documents, climbing on trees....on and on...it was boring.

I walked to the pack training field and a group of young, teens and old were already waiting for me.

"Alpha black" they all greeted in union bowing their heads in respect.

"First let's do some of our exercises," I said to them and they all nodded their head.

I started the training off with a few pull-ups. Then timed everyone to run about a mile without their werewolf ability.

"Today we are going to learn to track scents using our moon-gifted nose in human form without your wolf's help, "I said making them all groan in pain and annoyance. Some were still breathing heavily from the run they just finished. I had to train my pack so if I wasn't here in the future they were all strong enough to fight and protect one another.

I went on, telling them and showing them how to track scents, I could successfully say my mind never wandered to my mate and this was why I love training, it helps me escape from reality because Reality sucks!!!

The training was over and I was walking down to my office, but I got stopped by someone calling my name.

"Alpha black how was my performance today," Elijah said walking up to me. He was shirtless because of the training we just had, all his packs and abs on display to my sight.

But I have seen better, Rain was ten times hotter.

" Like what you see," Elijah said with a proud smirk, even going as far as kissing his biceps.

" No. I have seen much better surprising. I said dryly, rolling my eyes. He was hot yes I won't deny that but since I found my mate, I lost any interest in male wolves.

" Ohh. “he said his smile falling leaving his face and a huge frown replacing it.

" You did well, you were great on the ground, as usual, but you need to start working on your focus, your eyes away from my ass and I'm sure you will be the best out there, "I said patting his shoulder like he was a little bit.

He blushed at my words and his ears turned pink.

" Sorry about that Alpha black, it won't happen again.” he apologized bowing his head.

" No, problem, I know it won't."I said winking at him and walking back to my office."

Elijah was handsome, too bad I have a mate already who doesn't want me.

" I miss my mate, I can't do this anymore. Christabel said whining walking behind me as I took a seat on my office chair, for the first time she look disarranged and I suddenly felt bad for only thinking about myself and not her, I was a selfish friend.

"I know how you feel Christabel, you can quit being my beta and go live with your mate,” I told her, it will be best if she dies that and I could pick either, Ethan, Chole, or even Elijah as my new beta.

"I don't want to be a submissive she-wolf, I rather die from this pain. Why does it hurt so much, I feel like my heart is been ripped out of my chest. She said throwing herself on the sofa I have inside my office.

" Stop being dramatic, I have my mate just like you, you and I both know my life depends on my mate but you don't see me whining like a little child."

" So I was right, alpha Rain is your mate, holy shit you lucky bitch that guy is hot as fuck ..he is-" she said all the previous tears disappeared away from her face like it was there in the first place.

I let out a possessive growl at her, suddenly feeling embarrassed I used my hands to cover my mouth.

" Sorry, I know I deserve that after all, I checked out your mate first. I said apologetically.

" But why are we the only one feeling this effect, I see you cry silently in your office so don't lie to me that you don't miss your mate."

I opened my mouth to contradict her words but she stopped me.

" Don't even try to deny it, I know, but the question is aren't our mates meant to feel these mate bond more than us since they are males and are much more possessive."

I wanted to reply to her but Ethan busted through my door breathing heavily.

" Alpha, we are under attack,” he said between breathing.

" What,” I said jumping up from my chair ready to fight.

"Sorry I made a mistake, not us but our neighboring pack are"

" Oh. By who" I said talking by my chair, my racing heart calming down. I wasn't strong enough to fight right now, so I was happy it wasn't our pack.

"By the midnight pack." He said, making me and Christabel widen our eyes in surprise.

"By Alpha Rain,” I asked unsurely.

"Yes, Alpha by the one and only Alpha Rain."

Now, Who said that asshole wasn't feeling the effects of the mate bond.
