Daisy sat alone at the school canteen, staring at her untouched lunch, she has not been able to swallow the bitter news that her mother is getting married in a few weeks from now, "dad, where are you?" She whispered, she would not be able to forgive her mother, why was she getting remarried anyways? A finger snapped across her face and she blinked, "earth to girl, why are you looking so lost?" Desiree asked as she sat down with her tray of food in front of her, Daisy sighed, she might as well tell her, she needed someone to tell it out to anyways, "my mum is getting married"

Desiree arched a brow, "I see that you are not okay with it"

"Of cause, not Desiree, she is getting married to a total stranger, I don't even know him"

"You might get to know him eventually, what if he turns out to be nice"

"I don't care, what if someday my dad returns"

"Are you kidding me? Your dad has been gone for ages, let's face it, what if your dad actually got divorced and you were not told or worst, what if he is dead" Daisy gasped her annoyance, "how can you say something like that?"

"I am sorry but ..." A shadow suddenly fell across her face and she stopped talking, "I...I...just remembered something that I have to do, see you later," Desiree said, quickly standing up, she scurried away, Daisy frowned, only one person has the ability to make students scurry away and judging from the way her heart was beating so fast, she could already guess who it was, soon, he came in front of her and without asking for her permission, he sat down on the seat across from her, "sorry, I scared away your friend"

"You're good at scaring off people" she murmured, drawing a circle on her plate with her spoon, "what did you say?" He asked, "nothing" she replied, this time louder, he watched her stir her food in her plate for a moment, "ain't you gonna eat that?" She sighed, dropping the spoon altogether, "what do you want anyways?" She asked, wondering why he came to her, he must be here to give her a hard time again, her eyes caught a slight bruise at the side of his neck, "you're injured" she gasped and he quickly raised his collar to hide it but she has already seen it, "let me take a look" she said, standing up and trying to open his collar, but he forcefully pushed her hands away, she was pushed with so much force that she lost her balance, her hand hit her lunch lying open on the table and it went crashing down, "what's with you, I was only...." She did not finish her words, he pointed a finger at her, "stay away from my business, do not act like my mother because you're not " Daisy frowned, she was only being concerned about his injury, how come he was acting so angry towards her, "I see, the likes of me are not worthy to go close to you, after all, you're the heir of DG jewelry, with a snap of his hand, your father can make a million doctor attend to you"

How ironic that the one who inflicted the injury will send him to a doctor, Aires thought but he said nothing, only smirked at her silly words, she has no idea and he should not take his anger out on her either, he had been so scared that if she comes close, she would see a lot more of injuries, his back was still filled the scars from the whip of his father's belt, she really had absolutely no idea what it means to be living with a father who hates you, "you must be so lucky, you have a complete family, your father is there for you and he is really rich but that does not mean the rest of us are filth" where she got the courage from, to say all these, she had no idea but one thing is for sure, she was saying and he was listening to her, he opened his mouth to say something,

"I..." Before he could complete his words, they heard a screech and they both turned to see Celine, the first thing that Daisy registered was Celine's furious face, but she wasn't even given a chance to ponder on why she was so furious because Celine got to where she was and splashed her cold juice on her, Daisy gasped at the impact but before she could even react further, Celine grabbed her hair, "you wretch, you think you can come into my family, tell your slutty mother to stay away from my dad because I will never approve of their marriage"

"Celine, have you gone mad?" Aires asked, pulling her away from Daisy, the other students were watching the scene interestingly, "I don't know what you are talking about Celine " Daisy said, confusion lacing her tone, "my mom is getting married to your dad?"

"Do not act so innocent, I know you plotted it with your slutty mother"

"Don't you dare call my mother that, it is your dad that is a flirt, why don't you tell him to leave my mum alone"

"You leech" Celine screamed in an attempt to grab Daisy's hair again but she was pulled back by Aires, "hey, take a chill pill" he growled and Celine looked at him, appalled, "are you siding with this idiot"

"I am not siding with anyone, I just don't want the both of you to fight, you're going to become sisters soon anyways "

"Never" Celine spat and stalk off, Daisy quickly packed what remains of her uneaten lunched and left.

Aires was about to walk away too when Celine suddenly stomp back, "can you come with me, I really need a friend" tears were brimming in her eyes, without waiting for his reply, she grabbed his arm and placed her head on it, sniffing, and Aires sighed, "come with me".

He took her to one of the empty classes in the school, "you do not need to vent your anger on that poor girl, she isn't the one getting married to your dad" he said as soon as they are alone,

Celine scoffed, "poor girl my foot, I can't believe that you are still supporting her right in front of me"

"I am not in support of anyone, what you did was wrong, and neither of you is in control over your parents' choices"

"I am sure she plotted with her mother, I will never accept her" she vowed defiantly but in two seconds, broke into a sob and rested her forehead on his arm, "what am I supposed to do? I do not want my dad to marry that woman"

"But you can't do anything about it, you just have to learn to accept it, besides, I do not think Daisy is a bad girl"

Celine angrily pushed away from him, "why are you speaking good of her all of a sudden?" She stared at him and then narrowed her eyes, "don't tell me that you are falling for that clumsy oof"

"Well, the truth is yes, I think I have feelings for her" Aires admitted, Celine desperately grabbed his arms,

"No, that cannot be possible, you love me, I know you do, I could see it in your eyes"

"Well, yes, I also once had feelings for you, I could have sworn I loved you but when I weigh what I feel for you and what u feel for Daisy, I know who owns my heart, I do not know when I started loving her or when my feelings for her grew but I need her in my life and I am going to officially ask her to me my girlfriend on my seventeenth birthday "

Celine gawk at him, "I can't believe what I am hearing, tell me it's not true, so Henry was telling the truth"

"Henry?" He asked confused but Celine quickly shook her head, stepping close to Aires, she placed her palms on his cheeks, "you know that I do love you right"

"I know, but can't you see that we cannot be together?"

Celine paused for a moment studying him, "so you want to have a slut as a girlfriend "

"Enough Celine, no more names calling "

Celine bits her teeth hard, to keep from tearing up, "you are going to regret choosing her over me, this, I promise you" with that parting shot, she stomped off.

"Mum, of all the men in the world, why Celine's dad, why?" Daisy cried as soon as she got home, she had been very shock earlier when Celine made the shocking revelation that her mother was getting married to Celine's dad, "oh Sweet, because I love him"

"No mum, you won't get married to him, I won't allow you, I won't" she cried before running upstairs, she banged the door behind her and locked it from the inside, plowing on the bed, she cried her eyes out.
