Daisy's POV

"Daisy, come and have your breakfast, you're gonna be late for school" I heard my mum call out for the third time but I still didn't budge, I was still lying down on my bed and haven't even had my bath, I just need to be alone, I curled a little tighter into a ball as yesterday's event kept repeating in my head, there's no way I'm going to that school today, I can't stand the pain, his words hurt me more than I can ever explain, and I closed my eyes under the duvet, I was alone wallowing in pain, how can I ever overcome this? Can I ever get over him? I wish I could just vanish from this earth, "Daisy?" I could hear my mum knocking on my door, why can't she just let me be, I just want to be left alone, her knock sounded again and I groaned as I rolled on the bed, I know that she won't stop knocking until I answer or she will simply get the spare key and open the door, I hadn't gone down for dinner yesterday claiming exhaustion, I can't bring myself to tell her that I'm dying of heartbreak, her knock sounded again and I opened the door, her eyes widened when she saw that I haven't had my bath let alone dressed for school, "what's this Daisy? Aren't you going to school today?" I slowly walked to my bed and she followed me inside, "what's going on? Talk to me, you know that you can tell me anything"

"I'm fine mum," I said simply and her eyes rounded in exasperation, "obviously you're not fine, did something happen?" After a slight pause, she added, "with Celine?" I stared at her and sat up, "I told you that I didn't fight with Celine, why are you still bringing her up, I don't want to talk about her" I know I am sounding pained but what the f^ck, I just can't help it and I do not need to think if Celine, she'll only add to my heartache and mum is just reminding me of her as if she has a special affiliation with her, why can't she just understand that I need to be alone and leave, I took a deep breath and tried to be calm as possible, "mum, I'm having a bad headache, just go to work, I'll take some medications and I'll be fine" she looked like she was about to say something but then changed her mind, "alright darling, I'll let you rest at home today but if you're still not fine when I return, then we'll see a doctor"

"I'll be fine mum" I sighed in relief when she walked out and quietly closed the door behind her and burrowed in my duvet once more.

My phone rang at noon waking me up from my nap, It was Desiree, I picked on the third ring, "hello, aren't you supposed to be in class, why are you calling?"

"You're supposed to be in class too, but you missed all your classes"

"Desiree..."

"I understand how you feel but isn't it too much to be missing class because of him while he attends all of his classes"

"I'm just not feeling it today Desiree, I feel like my heart is going to explode" there was a light pause on the other end before her voice came on, more sympathetic, "I understand you, let me make a suggestion, why don't you make him regret ever treating you in such a way, make him fall in love with you" my heart pricked at her suggestion, "make him fall in love with me? How?"

"I'll tell you how, first start by looking more beautiful and ignoring him, ordinarily, you're beautiful, you could apply simple and slight makeup you know, add something to your bust to make it seem bigger and you know, I tell you, you'll surely catch his attention " I smiled, finally, someone has lightened my mood, "you think that will work?"

"Sure, let's see, if it doesn't, we'll try another means, just don't stay at home sulking"

"Thanks, Desiree, I'll be in school tomorrow, muah, I love you," I said excitedly as I hung up, loving the idea of making Aires fall in love with me, suddenly, I can't wait for tomorrow to reach so I can go to school, my day suddenly seems brighter.

Aires'POV

I sat, staring at the mathematics teacher in class but my mind isn't on what he was teaching, my mind is on Daisy, I try pushing the thoughts of her behind but she keeps resurfacing, I heaved a sigh when the bell finally rang for change of subject, perhaps, I should walk past her class just to catch a glimpse of her before the next teacher comes in, "it's strictly to see if she's okay and nothing else" I convinced myself in my head before getting up but as I checked through the window of her class, I felt a pang in my heart when I didn't see her, her seat was empty, did she change seat? Perhaps she's seating somewhere else but before I could confirm that, I felt a tap on my shoulder, "what are you doing here? The teacher is about to enter the class" Derrick looked at me and then looked into the class, "did you come here for Celine or Daisy? I'm guessing it's for Daisy because if it's for Celine, she's sitting right there" I made no reply as I simply did a U-turn and headed towards my class, "don't worry, it'll be practice time soon and you'll see her" shrugged his hand off my shoulder angrily, "why would I want to see Daisy? I have nothing to say to her" Derrick gave me a knowing look, "I was talking about Celine, that you'll see her during practice but it seems like someone else is in your mind" I took two deep breaths to steady my nerves, what's wrong with me? Why should I be bothered about her? Derrick was right about one thing, I'll see her at practice. The teachings faded in a haze and then it was practice time, I quickly rushed to our team hall and waited, everyone was there except her, just then, I sighted Desiree passing just outside our team hall and I feigned casualness as I walked to her, "hey you" she had just passed the hall, so I beckoned her to come, I could read her puzzled look and then something else, fear, I snickered, why should she be afraid of me, I'm not a beast, she slowly came to my direction, "where's your friend, why isn't she in practice, does she think she can skip her practice whenever she wished to?"

"Ummm, she is absent in class today also"

"Why?" I asked, my heart beating faster, why would she miss class, all because of a silly feeling, Desiree looked at me as if she was about to say something but changed her mind, she shrugged, "i-i'll go to my practice all now" she said and scurried away, school, suddenly seemed so long, I just want it to close for that that, even practice suddenly lost it's interest to me.

Dylan rushed into his room, he had been called that Ariana is having another fit, he saw Samantha, her sister there with her but she quickly went out when he came in, Dylan quickly grabbed Ariana who was screaming incessantly, this happens to her every year when her son's birthday is close, now, it's one month to Aiden's seventeenth birthday and she still has no idea where her son could be, she doesn't even have the power to look for him, Dylan placed his two hands on her shoulders and shook her vigorously, but her eyes were glaze and distant as she kept chanting, "my son, my son, bring me my son, I want to see my sonnnn" tears streamed down her cheeks like rivers of water, Dylan's heart breaks each time he sees his Ariana in this form, he shook her once more and she stared at him, slowly blinking him into focus and then she shattered in his arms, her tears soaked his clothes and Dylan hadn't felt this useless, he blame himself for everything she's passing through, if she hadn't saved his life, she wouldn't have lost her powers and if she hadn't stayed with him, their son wouldn't have gone missing in the first place, now, he has absolutely no idea how their son might even look like, all he had going was that Ariana wore him her amulet, what if Aidan wasn't wearing that anymore,he could have pulled it and then he knew he'll be seventeen soon but a lot of people will also turn seventeen soon, Ariana rose her head from his chest, his clothes has been dampened by her tears, "y-you p-promised me you'll find him" she sobbed and his heart tore at her tears, he gently swiped them away with his thumb, "I will Ariana, no matter how long it takes,I won't stop looking for Aidan, just hang on and be strong"

"I...I...n-need to s...see m-my son" her voice was slurred and she suddenly went limp in his arms, losing consciousness.

Samantha paced the hall as she waited for the doctor to come out of her sister's room, she couldn't help but feel guilty about what Ariana is passing through, it has been years since they both bade goodbye to little Aidan as they deposited him in that safety both, it's been years since their search for him, if Ariana hadn't lost her powers in that fateful day, the amulet she had placed on her son would have led her to him but now, that isn't the case, Ariana has lost her powers and her son is nowhere to be found, "mom, will aunt Ariana be okay?" Her ten years old daughter asked and she forced a smile as she ruffled her daughter's hair, she couldn't imagine losing her child and so, she understands what her sister is going through right now, she nodded trying to assure her daughter when she herself didn't feel the assurance, she's tired of sitting and doing nothing, although, she knows that Dylan and her husband Damien are doing their best, right now, she's feeling like she has failed as a sister, perhaps it's time she visits the human world if Ariana continues like this, goodness knows how long she'll live, no, Aidan needs to be found ASAP, he might not even be living with the name Aidan, he might be living under a different name, "wherever you are Aidan or whatever name you're going by, please be safe and come back to us".
