Chapter 348: Chapter 348
Ava leaned in more and then, just as suddenly, pushed back slightly, distancing herself from him.
"Now I have to go clean up...." She lamented. That was when it came to her that they had not used protection this time.
Rocky looked away in guilt.
"I feel so wet and sticky!"
Rocky lowered his head a little more. When he saw Ava in that sheer morning coat standing by the stove that morning, Rocky knew that he needed to taste her... again!
’I shouldn’t have done that....’ He thought, but Rocky knew he would have done the same if time had reversed. He couldn’t get enough of her and also of the fact that they were together. Ava set his reasoning off most of the time. He looked at her as she adjusted her clothing and then, finally, took off the already wet panty, slipping one leg out and then the other.
Rocky grabbed it from her and dashed into the bathroom a few strides before Ava could say anything. She looked at his fluids that had started trickling down her thighs and sighed.
’I need a shower, but I’m famished.’
Just as the thought settled, Rocky came back out with a wet towel. He knelt before Ava, unfastened her morning coat, and began to wipe her thighs.
Ava’s mouth dropped open in shock, but Rocky paid no heed as he nudged her thighs apart and continued wiping his fluids off her inner thighs and then up her pussy.
Ava moaned and then froze.
’What the hell?! What’s with him?’ she thought, but more importantly, she asked herself, what was wrong with her. This was because she found her hands anchored on his head as he cleaned her up... or more like ignited more sensations in her.
However, the moment his fingers brushed against her soft petals, she used all of her willpower, and the softness in her eyes vanished, replaced by the sharp, no-nonsense demeanour of an ’older sister’ taking charge.
Ava knew that she was not kidding anyone with that façade, but if she did not, she knew that they would end up back in bed with no food, and she was famished. She liked Rocky... more so than she had thought earlier, but she needed to get a hold of herself. Ava had broken all the rules in her little rule book in the past few days for Rocky.
She even wondered why she had slept with him, but Ava had no regrets.
Her expression hardened, and she stepped back, straightening her posture as if snapping into a new role.
"You," she said, her voice firm and commanding, pointing to the worn-out couch in the corner of her tiny studio apartment,
"Go sit over there, and don’t move an inch!" He grinned mischievously, undeterred by her sudden shift. Before obeying, he got up and leaned in swiftly, stealing another kiss, a quick brush of lips that left her scowling but unable to hide the flicker of amusement in her eyes as he finally, and reluctantly, complied.
Ava turned back to the stove as she heard him shuffle around a little, cleaning himself up and finally assuming the seat she had pointed out to him. This was a new addition to her place and she was glad she had gone through the lengths to buy at least one couch for herself.
Ava quickly chopped some vegetables and tossed them into the pan with butter; she added a few spices and herbs and the cracked-in eggs. She moved swiftly while another pan had already started to bubble up with spaghetti.
"Have you considered moving from here? I mean to another place?"
"It’s not safe.... And the walls are too thin!"
Ava stopped her actions and then turned to glare at Rocky even though she understood precisely what he was referring to.
"That’s just a waste of money. I will be spending most of my days with the Thornston family anyway. I love this place...."
Even without her explaining the ’why’, Rocky understood the reasoning. He knew Ava more than even how she may know herself in certain things.
"I know those thugs are on our side now but, one never knows if another set will be hire...."
Ava smiled, knowing that Rocky was just worried. He had taken over the ’boyfriend’ role pretty quick.
"With Ian’s quick hands, I believe the threat had been nullified. I love my place and will not be leaving anytime soon."
Rocky knew better than to say that he would help Ava secure a better place, so he used a different tactic.
"I know you won’t like it at the Wendover mansion...."
Ava’s ’HELL NO!’ face was enough to agree with him on that. Even the thought of Clara gave Ava a headache, and she started questioning herself if she had plunged into the relationship too prematurely.
Rocky was with Ava on that as he knew the hoops he had gone through to get his girlfriend and he was not about to jeopardize it with the ’Clara factor’. He continued,
"... and I want to spend more time with you. If you’d like, I will visit you at the Thornston estate instead?"
Ava hesitated at that....
"How about, I help you get another place in a more secure neighbourhoo-"
"NO! I still have that loan from Marvin to pay off. I do not want you to spend on me again. I am not with you because of that money!"
Rocky sighed. Frankly, he had forgotten about that money himself because he never expected Ava to pay back but he understood.
"I know... what you mean. How about, we get the place together? I want to leave the Wendover mansion to Clara and get myself a new place out of her sight. So how about, we pool money together for that?"
Ava hesitated and turned back to the stove to briefly stir its contents while deep in thought.
’Isn’t it too soon to consider getting a place together? But he has a point, though. If Rocky leaves campus, he’d like a place to be where he would be comfortable and out of Clara’s control... then....’
"I don’t pace, Rocky."
"How about this? Think about it, but for now, I’ll come here or to the Thornston estate to see you."
"You know what? Let’s go for it!"
"REALLY?!!!!" Rocky jumped up only for a harsh ’thump’ ’thump’ ’thump’ to sound out from the opposite wall.
The neighbour’s reaction cemented her thoughts. There was absolutely no privacy there and she could only imagine what her neighbours were gossiping about in the face of her tumble on the bed with Rocky.
Besides, Ava had been given enough monies from her recent job and rewards to be able to contribute something. Other thoughts nudged at the back of her head, but Ava dismissed them,
’I made this decision to be with him and should own up to this.’
Rocky ran to Ava and hugged her tightly. "I’ll handle it, so leave it to me....."
"Equal contributions!"
Ava smiled and shook her head.
"Let me dish this meal for us. I am starving. We also have to hurry up. You’re coming to the Gala Dinner, right?"
Rocky kissed her on her cheeks and nodded. Ava smiled in amusement.
A few moments later, they haggled on the small couch with plates of spaghetti and egg-vege sauce.
"Did you see the news about Avril?"
"Yep! I am so happy that she has been apprehended." Ava did not add her marvel at how Ian handled his supposed adopted sister.
"I wonder if she would have run if she knew what would happen to her later...."
"Forget about her. I hope she rots in jail!" And Rocky was not wrong. Avril received the harshest sentence for attempted murder, with prostitution added to the charge. In short, she had no way of coming out again.
However, during her trial, she made a confession that shocked the observers, but that was not before an interesting video made its way into the masses. These developments all happened much later and Rocky, and his love were more than happy to see it happen.
"You really are the best when it comes to cooking. This is amazing!" Rocky commented, taking a huge bite of a saucy spag.
Ava smiled, "Only in cooking?"
"Of course not! Hahahahaha..... You are my personal best!"
Ava continued eating but couldn’t help but add, "I am glad Avril got her due, and Brianna did too. I don’t know why I did not see the inner person she was. I am sad to have ever considered Brianna my friend."
They shared a look. Rocky had always been passive with Brianna so he didn’t feel as much but he could understand Ava.
It was also widely known that the Mush had done everything to find their missing daughter, even promising big rewards, but Brianna seemed to have vanished from the island mysteriously. Even without knowing the details, the two knew very well that Ian had a hand in it.
"Leave those two. They got whatever they deserved."
"Yh, they did." Ava said before suddenly switching the conversation,
"...but what are you going to do about your little crush?" she asked abruptly, her words slicing through the comfortable silence like a knife. Though her tone was light and teasing, the question held weight.
Rocky blinked, completely taken aback. "W-hi-ch cr-ush?" he stuttered, the fork trembling in his hand as it paused midway to his mouth. His heart raced, and he felt heat creeping into his cheeks. His mind scrambled to respond, but all that escaped was a nervous, strangled laugh.
She raised an eyebrow, a sly, knowing smile playing on her lips.
"Oh, so there’s more? You mean, the crush we talked about that night isn’t the only one?" Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she reveled in his transition from pale shock to a deep crimson.
His fork hung in mid-air, forgotten. He swallowed hard, sensing the walls of the cozy room closing in on him.
"Ermmm..." he began, but the words faltered in his throat. Did I just trap myself? His thoughts raced, attempting to rewind the conversation to pinpoint where it had gone awry, how it had escalated beyond his control.
She leaned back slightly, observing him with amused curiosity, waiting for him to make a move. But he could only sit there, frozen like a deer in headlights, wondering how he had ended up there and how their simple meal had turned into this .... Whatever that was.
’Did I dig my own grave with this?’
Rocky’s mind veered towards Terry, the subject of the conversation.
