Pink hairy pussy, that was faintly visible from where Ava was bent from. She raised her eye and saw that her friend, Brianna seemed to be holding eye contact with Ian and Ava swelled in anger as well as disappointment!

’What the hell does Brianna mean?’

Brianna was oblivious to this, or rather, she did not care. She had only dressed to the nines for one purpose and did not care about her environment. Every single attire had been specifically selected for this exact reason.

Brianna had pulled Shelby to a seat because she knew that seat faced Ian directly. Her skirt was loose enough to allow her to sit with her legs open. By doing that, her skirt had risen up just enough for her purpose.

She had Shelby looking at something on her phone as if to distract her and had opened her legs wide open. It was at that same exact time that the maid had looked over to that clear view of her nether regions.

Geneva was slightly to the side, and the view she would have was of Brianna’s bared thigh from the skirt that had risen up but not of her innards.

Even with this, Geneva narrowed her eyes and then shouted,

"A lady should sit with her legs closed and her back straight! What the hell is she doing?"

The statement had all eyes turning to Brianna, but Ava was faster. She rushed across the room after handing her tray to the maid beside her. Ava acted before she thought, however it was unclear whom she was ’protecting’. Ava arrived even before Shelby put the phone down to turn and check what Geneva had meant.

Brianna met Ava’s eyes, and she frowned, her irritation mounting. Brianna did not even bother with what Geneva had said. Talk of blatant disrespect the first time in the Thornston Estate!

"Shelby, didn’t you want to tell us something?" Ava asked while she tilted her head slightly, hoping that Shelby would catch her hint.

"Yes, you did!" Ava said firmly and then, without waiting for Shelby’s reply, turned with a polite smile to her hostess.

"I-s it okay if we leave for a bit Ma’am?"

Geneva narrowed her eyes at her, and Ava quickly changed the way she addressed her yet again, "I mean, Mum."

Geneva flipped her hand briefly dismissively, indicating that they could go. Her snacks had already been served anyway, so she couldn’t care less about the visitor. The less she saw of the rude girl, the better she would feel!

However, Ava’s words were enough to further anger Brianna. First, it was because Ava had blocked her view of the man she was admiring.

’He was finally looking at me! Why did Ava have to come and block my view!’ Brianna fumed.

’Also, why does she get to call her Mum.... Ava is just a nobody! A poor -’

She had not completed her thoughts when Ava literally dragged her from the seat.

Ian’s sharp eyes followed Ava’s movements, and the corner of his lips rose slightly.

’I like her more and more. At least my Elfin has one good friend.’

Shelby was still confused, but she knew Ava like the back of her hand and that something was off. Shelby just played along with her because she also knew that Ava would tell her when they were alone. She let herself be dragged along by Ava, but not before she turned to look at Ian one last time.

He smiled gently at her, and she smiled back.

’Have fun!’ He mouthed and winked at her, making Shelby blush.

He was not worried about her in so far as Ava remained by her side. However, Ava was also not happy with Ian and kept sending him threatening eyes. This made Ian laugh inwardly.

Very soon, the three friends were off and walking along the corridors to Shelby’s room.

Brianna was obviously not happy. She was pissed off!

Just behind them, Suzie maintained a respectable distance, but she was also fuming.

’Why is Miss still with this person she calls a friend? The woman is so disgusting!’

She thought to herself. Most of the people in the estate had the same convictions about Brianna. When she had stepped out of her car, many of the workers had tried to catch a glimpse of her while staying out of sight. However, it had taken barely half an hour for all of them to turn their backs on her. With such a rotten personality, they wondered why their mistress even tolerated her.

Even though Shelby had pretty much stayed out of sight most of the time, she had won most of their hearts. With such good physiques, Shelby was rather humble and did not flaunt herself. Also, they all felt some sort of inherent feeling to protect her from the world. This was ridiculous, but that was their sentiments most of the time, like a hen and her chicks!

Soon, they were in Shelby’s room.

"Suzie? Please go touch up your mistress’ makeup."

Suzie bowed. She could read between the lines and quickly guided a puzzled Shelby into the bathroom.

"What is wrong with you?" Ava hissed as soon as the door closed behind them, making sure that she did not raise her voice lest Shelby heard.

"What is it?" Brianna asked,

"Ian is Shelby’s husband, and I thought you understood this fact! What kind of a friend are you, Brianna?"

"Stop being dramatic! I didn’t do anything!"

"....yet", Ava placed both arms on her waist and started tapping her feet. She was mad. She was mad at a whole different level. Her personal experience a few days before played a part in her emotional state, but she could not understand her friend no matter how much Ava thought of it.

"You mean.... You have not done anything yet! I hope it remains that way!"

"Why are you talking to me like that? You are just a mere...."

"Yes! I know, Brianna. I am a lowly poor maid in your eyes. However, despite my lowly status, I would never stoop so low to do this!"

Ava raised the flare skirt, baring Brianna’s nakedness as she wore nothing beneath it and dropped it.

Brianna let out a shriek just as Shelby came back in, and they both dropped the subject.

"Nothing! I was just teasing Brianna about the dress she wore," Ava quickly said.

Shelby narrowed her eyes at her, knowing something was up, but she did not push it, neither did she ask Ava about the white lie she had told to get them to come to her room.

"Ava..." Shelby gushed.

"Brianna looks so lovely today, and so do you!"

Shelby added just as she jumped and hugged both of them.

"Thanks for coming, Brianna."

Shelby smiled so widely that it dazzled her friends.

"So, this is your place?"

Brianna stepped out of the embrace and took a slow walk around the room, smiling secretly. She tried not to look at the nosy Ava. She did not understand who had made Ava a vigilante on Shelby’s matters. However, since Shelby herself was being a naïve idiot, at least in Brianna’s mind, she felt that she had to push through.

’My room is way bigger than this room. It turns out that they do not value her much. Just look at the small wardrobe. The room is so small that I get to the end so soon. What is this?’

Brianna smiled widely and said,

"I love your place! It’s so cute!"

None of the friends bought it, but they all played along.

Shelby could sense the tension between Brianna and Ava, but she could not pinpoint what it was about.

"Of course we are. Why would we not be?"

Ava and Brianna said at the same time.

"So, how is marriage life?" Brianna asked.

"Mmmm... yes!" Shelby replied. Brianna’s confidence soared with each word that fell out of Shelby’s mouth!

"Well, that’s strange! Anyway, I want juicy details! How is he in bed?"

"Miss, it’s time for your medicine." Suzie interrupted and brought a small pill to Shelby. In essence, it was just a vitamin pill, but Suzie felt like interrupting. She knew that she was overstepping her bounds, but she could not help it!

’She opens her stupid legs to tempt her friend’s husband, and now she asks this question?’

Shelby looked between Ava and Suzie and wondered what was going on. Shelby never had Suzie give her any medication, so this was too bizarre!

"Yes, Miss. Master Ian instructed me to make sure you take it." Suzie raised her voice, shielding herself using Ian and her eyes took on a dreamy look as she added,

"He really loves and cherishes you, Miss. I blush at the thought of how he ’takes care’ of you and-"

"Oh yes, here it is!" Suzie came forward with the pill, her pigtails bouncing while watching Brianna’s reaction from the corner of her eye with a smug expression.

Ava chuckled as she watched the scene.

Brianna gritted her teeth and then asked,

"Did you like the earrings I gave you?"

"That’s so out of the blue, Brianna. Of course, I like it. I told you that already. Why would you ask again, hahahahahaaaa?"

"It’s nothing. It’s just that the normal you would have worn it to show me today...."

"I think if we are talking about gifts, we should talk about mine too..."

"Hahahahahaaa.... Come on... Ava.... Not about that!"

Shelby placed her hands over her face as she blushed harder.

"You should wear more of those sexy clothes so that people do not have designs on your husband...."

Shelby said, "No one can have him!" She pulled out her tongue, joking, as Ava, including Suzie, who tried her best to maintain her composure, laughed at the humour in that but Brianna did not. Brianna’s face remained straight.

Shelby and Ava stopped their gimmicks on the bed, and then a thoughtful expression graced Shelby’s face. Shelby asked,

"We are still friends, right?"

"Of course we are!" Brianna added quickly.

"Can you tell me why your parents are still pushing for your marriage with my husband?"
