Chapter 41: Chapter 41

"I know but you and I is here together. It will look so awkward if we don't talk to each other and moreover, talking ease my tensed body" she rushed out.

"I'm awkward" I replied bluntly.

I know I am. I don't do like normal people. I'm a beast and demon when dealing with my enemies but I'm like a savior and a calm leader to my people. Once you are not part of me, you can't see my kindness. That's why I'm feared. Some even said I do eat my pack members meat during my dinner. I'll smile when I hear such story but I wouldn't tell them I don't eat them. I like them to think me to be a brutal blood sucking demon. It's increades my power.

"It's obvious" she grumbled. "But enemies or no enemies, we are standing on the same ground we shouldn't ignore each other. We should talk" she lectured.

" Enemies?"I asked raising my brow.

If she had been my enemy, I wouldn't even be standing near her. I would have had her head off her shoulders in seconds. Enemies don't have a chance with me.

"Yes we aren't friends" she said with pride.

I shrugs and said nothing.

"Let's have a chat" she said.

"Not interested" I said bluntly.

I don't know why she's still insisting on talking to me after turning her down.

She raised her nose at me. "Don't be mean alpha" she scolded.

"I am mean. Get used to it" I replied baldly.

She shows me her gritted teeth and I chuckled but it didn't show in my eyes. She didn't mind what I said and she chatted on. She told me alot about herself which were kind of interesting. I just watched her as she talked. I only said few words. I never answered any questions she asked me but she never mind.

"Do you really eat your people or dead bodies?" She asked me.

I didn't reply her. I wished I could laugh out loud but I think I've forgotten how to laugh.

" History says you do but right from time I didn't believe the history. I think it's an exaggeration" she said confidently.

" Why?"

" Because since I got here not one thing said about you as been true".

" That's because you don't have a reason to see it. I'm a real demon" I told her to scare her.

" Are you trying to scare me?" She been a smart girl asked.

" What do you think" I asked showing her my fang.

She moved back a bit, looking at me with some strange eyes.

"I think the moon goddess is partial" she said.

" Why?"

"How come she gifted you with such good and perfect looks when you have such evil character. An evil person should look evil not angelic" she said grudgingly.

Derek was laughing so loud in my head while I snorted putting all my effort not to burst into laughter.

"That girl can't be serious" Derek said still laughing.

" Ofcourse she is" I said looking at her face. " You think I'm good looking?" I asked her.

" Are you trying to boast to me? Cut the pride alpha, you are not the only good looking one" she said as if she's jealous but I know she's only scolding me.

I looked at her and shook my head. I then stopped walking and sat on a bench I saw. She didn't even hesitate to sit beside me. I know she's already warming up to me. Even with my brutality, I don't shy people away. They are just the one who don't know that I'm not so tough and I also don't let them close, so they won't know that I'm accomodating. Even few of my people knows that I am because I'm scarely around them. So once they seem me, they are happy and behaved themselves. This one is just getting so privileged and I don't know why.

"I don't smell a mate on you" she said.

I know what she's trying to ask but I'm not ready to reply. There is a long story between my mating bond. To tell the truth, I've sacrificed it. I can't have a mate untill I die. No one knows that, not even my close pals.

"Neither do you" I told her.

"I'm still young but you are not" she justified herself.

I shrugs.

"Well not all werewolf has mates but I think the moon goddess is so still brutal. How can she give some such good looks and not a mate that would tell him how he looks every morning?" She asked with a frown.
