Chapter 30: Chapter 30

I know once I get the heart of their leader, I'll surely get all their heart. I'm sure not going back to that godforsaken room.

"I heard the alpha is coming. So when is he due to come?" I asked.

It was almost evening and I haven't gotten any news about him coming already. I've rehearsed how I would behave when he is here over a hundred times. I was going to behave like a spoilt brat and also like a scared mouse.

"Bad news ma'am, the alpha got and emergency and he won't be around for days" he said.

It was truely a bad news. I screamed in my head. I was so unhappy that I felt like to cry.

"Day?" I couldn't help but to ask. My voice didn't hide how sad I am.

"Yes ma'am" he said.

I began to brood. This is a very bad thing for me. If I don't get to see the alpha soon, they would return me back to that room which I fear so much. I would also be spending another longer days in this pack. I miss my family. I want to go back to my life and pack.

The physician finished with what he came to do with me and left me there mourning. The tears I've held fell and I didn't stop it from flowing. I just sat there feeling so helpless. Then some thought crawled into my mind.

"This is an opportunity to escape" I said to myself.

I got down from the bed and went to the door to see if it was locked but to my surprise, it wasn't. I then remembered gold. She has always been around me. I opened the window and whistle for her to come and in no time she appeared. I had totally forgotten that I don't have a writing materials. So I waited untill Fillia came to visit me with my meal.

"Fillia I need some writing material" I told her.

" To write your poems?" She asked smiling.

I had lied to her that I'm a poet. I wrote some of the poems I do read at him because I do enjoy reading poetry.

"Yes it's boring in here" I said with a pitiable look.

" Ok I'll get you the materials" she said and left.

" Yes" I was so glad she bought my lies.

She brought the materials and said she would be able to keep me company today because she wants to go home to her mate early.

"As if I need her" I snorted and continued to write my message to my brother.

After I was done writing, I sent gold away and laid on my bed. If this plan is successful, then I'll be free. I can't just wait to see my family.

I was on my bed checking the reports that was given to me for the pine pack's wealth. I was amazed at what they have. It was then I noticed that the reason the alphas wanted the land was because, the pine pack's have another source that they didn't tell the alpha and when they noticed, they want to collect all. I saw the records of all they've given out and of all they have left. They given a lot yet they have massive wealth.

My plan was to make sure all wealth that belong to the pack, not individual is sent to the main pack house for proper safe keeping. I know they wouldn't object to that. As I was with this, I heard a sound if something perching on my window. I looked at the window and I saw it was a bird. I recognized the bird. It was the bird if the ranger girl. I knew for it to come to me, she has sent another message to her pack.

I opened my window and let the bird in. She wrote in there that by tomorrow night, she was going to escape and that they should meet her at their border. I wonder why the girl doesn't learn. She can't escape as long as she s in my pack. At first I thought of not letting the message get to her brother but I know it wouldn't be fun to to that. I then out back the message on the bird and then tell it to go deliver it.

I wanted to call Moi to relate this to him and tell him what to do but I remembered that he almost killed her the last time. There's isn't an assurance that he won't go into rage and snap her neck. I then mind linked Gabriel. Not that I was sure that Gabriel will do a good job but I know if he's not doing well he'll surely get help. I told him all about the plan. I didn't tell him what to do, I just told him to figure it out himself. This is my first test of leadership to him. Gabriel then asked me if he should relate all I've said to Moi but I told him to handles it all alone.

This girl is of no use to me but I didn't want her to go by escaping. I want to be the one to send her off with lot of warnings to her people.
