Chapter 6: Chapter 6
CHAPTER 6
Absent mindedly my eyes rolled to Alex, he has already Zipped his bag, he stood up and with his cute face raised high up Like a king he walked out, when he got to the door he stopped and looked back at me, not just him but everyone remaining in the class was stariny at me, and that's when I realized I had called him to wait for me.
Crap.
"What"
"The guts she has"
Everyone started whispering.
What have I gotten myself into.
Whatever happened to 'i won't talk to him if he talks to me' now I'm the talking to him.
"Did she just tell Lexy to wait for her" I heard a girl ask beside me, I looked up and saw the blonde rude girl from the hallway staring down at me in disgust.
I looked at my sisters to know if they can save me for once but the glare I received from them was worst than the heat of hatred I felt roaming around the room, channeling only to me.
I felt like choking.
I wanted to look up at Alex and tell him to forget it, but when I looked up I saw him right in front of my desk staring down at me.
"Come on, don't make me late again" he said and stretched his hand to me.
"You know what? I think I'm fin...." I didn't finish before he dragged me up and out we go with everyone's eyes following behind.
"Umh, you can let my hand go now" i said to him trying to slide my hand away.
"No need to force it, you can take your hand" he said and released my hand.
Dude, that's not what I wanted.
"Won't you go for soccer practice" he asked as well walked side by side.
"Mmmmmh" I winced and smooched my right arm with the left one.
"What's wrong" Alex asked with a soft voice, cute.
"I don't think I wanna be in soccer team anymore." I confessed.
"Andra you can't just quit it like that, a team provision has already been made for you immediately the principal registered you in soccer team. The jessy, their T-shirts, Their hangouts, Their lunch table..."
"They have a lunch table?" I asked in awe cutting him off.
"Yes, but I call it the den of death for nerds and newbies, that's where they butcher helpless people and ruin their reputation for the rest of the school years" he explained.
"Gush I don't wanna be part of that"
"Neither can you quit unless you exchange your position with someone else, but trust me, nobody in this school would take that position even if you pay that person $100,000 per week"
"What? Is that how bad they are, I can't do this Alex, you have to help me" I cried.
"You are such a crybaby" he chuckled and that made me smile a bit.
"Anyway, the only way out is to pretend like you are the worst at soccer, like you suck at soccer, like you don't even know anything about soccer and if the coach tries to teach you, use his natural balls as the main ball, that will teach him a lesson." We both laughed.
"You should go now, you are already late, another option for you if you want to quit, always be late, the coach hates that" he stated.
"You really do know much about this soccer team"
"Yea, I do a lot of research in this school, I know every move off every student, like that one over there..." He pointed at a blonde boy, he looks like he is in grade 10 and also he's a total nerd.
"Yea?"
"He's always hiding from a huge kid in his class who's always bullying him, so every recess period the poor boy will run to the library and stay but lately the huge kid has noticed his moves and always stop him even before he leaves his locker, and then he beats him up and take his lunch." Alex explained.
I turned back to the nerd and not up to 5 seconds, exactly what Alex said happened.
"Gush this school is filled with bullies, its like do or die, so annoying.
"But why don't you help the boy" I asked Alex while I stare at the poor boy being bullied for nothing. When i didn't hear Alex speak for a minute I turned to him.
"Hey, I asked you something" I said and nudged him, he jerked up but still Didn't look at me, he was just staring forward.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked him but he didn't reply, I looked up to know what he was staring at and damn, my sisters were matching towards us with those three guys, I don't know if they were coming to us or if they were walking on their own but the way they were staring at our direction crept the hell out of me, no sign of emotions on any of their faces, even the boys faces were the worst, students started running away, some even ran into their lockers, who wouldn't.
I shuddered and gripped Alex's shirt, I wanted to run but I was too scared, hell those people looked like Godzilla's offsprings.
"Al....Ale...Alex, come on, let's get out of here" i stammered when I finally got my voice back.
"I'm not scared of them"
"Yea, well I am"
"Andra you can't keep running for the rest of your lives" Alex argued.
"No I can't but right now, I will" I said and started off.
"Andra wait". I heard him call out but nothing in jupiter will make me turn back.
But then I noticed him behind me.
"Who are those dudes, they look like trained lions" I asked as we ran.
"They are my brothers" my legs automatically came to a halt and just like it happened in the morning but this time reverse, Alex bumped into me and we rolled over each other non stop, through the long passage and the journey stopped in soccer field.
"Ouch" I screamed when I noticed a sharp pain on my ankle.
Alex fell off me.
"Are you ok?" He asked trying to nurse his own leg.
"Yea, I'm fine, but did you say your brothers, how?" I Asked in total awe.
"My mum gave birth to them, that's how" he replied.
Of course that was a stupid question.
I looked up and saw a bunch of girls staring down at us in mix disgust, anger, and flirty, I realized it was the soccer team when I saw Lindsay.
A sharp sound of whistle released the intensity of the atmosphere, although Alex doesn't seem to understand the message being passed to me.
"What is going on here" I heard a deep voice of a man, Alex and I stood up and dusted our clothes before the man whom I assume to be the coach came closer.
"Alex, what happened" he asked.
"They fell into the field sir" a girl answered.
"Well be more careful next time" he said and blew the ear deffening whistle again.
"Alright girls, back to business" he added and clapped his hands in three fast rhythm. He made to walk out but Alex called him back.
"Mr. Willy.." He turned and so did the girls.
"She's a new student and also a new player, the principal said you should give her some gears." He stated pointing to my direction, I stupidly looked back to know who he was talking about forgetting that I'm the newbie.
"You are the newbie dummy" I heard Lindsay spat, I smiled sheepishly and replied.
"Of course I am, I know that"
"Yea right" another girl said in sacarsm and the girls laughed.
"I should leave now" I heard Alex say.
What? Leave? After everything he said about these girls, he wants to leave.
I looked at him with pleading eyes begging him to stay, but he seems to return the look with 'i can't stay, its not proper'
"No probs, see you around" the coach said and clapped his hands again and all the girls gathered.
Alex walked out.
"Well as you all can see, we have a newb, treat her nice but teach her the rules of the game." He stated. "Practice begins in 5 min" he added and walked out.
The girls gathered, forming a toad in the hole circle, meaning that I'm in the middle of the circle.
I'm dead.
"Welcome newbie, what's your name" a girl in a short Jessy with strawberry blonde hair asked me with a light smile. Well this one doesn't seem bad.
"Andra" I replied with a smile too.
"Nice to meet you Andra, what grade" she asked.
"Eleven 2"
"Awwn, too bad I'm in eleven 1, welcome to Lily Ivy high School, and you are most welcome to the soccer team" she smiled broadly.
"Thanks" well this isn't so bad, maybe Alex misjudged them, well except for Lindsay.
"I'm Jade Carter"
"Cool" I replied.
"So the coach said we should teach you the rules of the game" she continued smiling but I kinda have a feeling that the smile is becoming staged by the past seconds.
"Yea" I replied with my confidence still intact.
"Well the first rule of the game is....."
"Be brutal" another girl answered.
What? This is soccer not wrestling.
"Second rule....." Jade continued.
"Never give your enemy a chance to win" a red haired girl answered.
"Enemy? Don't you mean opponent" I asked in awe.
"Third rule..." Jade continued ignoring my question, and her face has completely gone cold, what's happening, I feel like I'm in a horror movie right now.
"Give up, you die" a petite answered.
"What!?" I exclaimed.
"Fourth rule..."
"No mercy" I heard a familiar voice behind me, I turned immediately only to see my sisters staring down at me with venom in their eyes.
"Are you guys in soccer team" I managed to ask with my legs wobbling like melting rubber.
"No baby" Titi answered.
I became more scared.
"I think its more than 5 minutes now, where's the coach" I asked.
I could really use a grown up right now.
"He's not coming honey" Jenny said as she walked up to me , revealing a sharp iron whip.
I tried to step back but I was held by four strong hands from behind, I tried to struggle but I got a really hard smack on the face by one of them.
I had to comply.
"So we thought we should just give you a first school day memory, how about that" Lola asked with a smirk, she raised her right hand up revealing something I can't even explain but I'm definitely sure its not a friendly one.
"Why are you doing this, I'm your sister for christ sake" I screamed at the top of my voice.
"Go to hell bitch" she raised it higher and I prayed someone to come and rescue me, anyone, but no, I felt the most pain I've never felt in my entire life, flashes of light flowed in my eyes when that object landed on my innocent skin, I felt hell.
Why... Just why?
