CHAPTER 25

"I saw the girl in an amour, but it was you" he stated and I sat up immediately in excitement.

Finally, he won't think I'm crazy again.

"So you now know I'm not crazy... Wooohooo" I flipped my hands up and screamed silently and he giggled.

But then again, he said it's me, what does he mean by that. "Wait, what do you mean by it's me?" I asked him.

"Because it's you, have you ever seen the girl's face?" He asked.

"Of course I have. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen"

"Have you ever studied her face?" He asked again, what's the difference.

"Yes, she's chocolate, her smile can never be measured" I explained with a distant smile.

Alex clasped my hands in his.

"Andi have you ever studied yourself in the mirror?" He asked.

"Crazy question Alex, I look myself in the mirror each time I'm done dressing up"

"Yea, but have you ever studied your image, your beauty like every other normal girl"

"So I'm not a normal girl " I asked him with an eye roll.

He giggled and shrugged.

Guess he was just joking.

"Andra I saw you in an amour, I don't understand it but you weren't smiling, you were angry at me, and when our eyes met, you drew your sword and started walking close to me but then Mr. Wesley called me to help him take back his horse to the stable and then you stopped walking to me and just like smoke, you disappeared." He explained.

I stared at him like he drank something crazy.

"Are you OK Alex, cause the girl in the amour that I know is certainly not me, and she's always smiling at me..."

"Because it is you, she loves you because she is you and she totally hates me, no offense but I would really not want to see her again, she scared the sh*t out of me" he whined like a puppy and I couldn't hold the laughter.

"Are you laughing at Me" he whispered.

I covered my mouth with my hands and shook my head negatively

"You better not or else I'll deal with you" he poked my left cheek and I went hot red, damn you boy.

Good thing he didn't notice cause he look out the window.

"You missed lunch" he informed me.

"I noticed cause the baby is complaining" I replied and robbed my tummy.

Alex gently pulled my hand away and placed his on it and it felt differently, the baby kicked in excitement and I couldn't help but accept the fact that crazy baby is gonna love his/her dad more than me, I Palmed my face.

"What's wrong?" Alex asked.

"The baby just started kicking, she will love you more than me" I whimpered and he laughed out loud.

"You are crazy Andra" he shook his head.

I stared at him for a minute, how he managed to still keep his cuteness intact after all we've been through is what I don't seem to understand, I feel miserable while he's here looking all cute .

"You are beautiful Andra" he stated as he stared at me. I smiled in embarrassment, did he read my thoughts.

"Actually I was sent to call you down for dinner" he stated as he stood up from the bed.

"And you've been wasting time since, they might be waiting for us Alex, you are so annoying.

I sprang up from the bed and looked for my flip floor while he just stood there and giggled. Naughty boy.

"Let's go" I dragged him out and ran downstairs.

"Oh there you are..." Halen beamed as we walked to the table. "Dinner is served" she gestured to the table.

"Andra you missed lunch" Mr. Alfred asked.

"I'm so sorry"

"Oh come on, it wasn't your fault, you needed to rest" he replied.

"Are you OK now" Halen asked and I nodded.

We all sat down, Halen said the grace and then served us freshly barbequed turkey and vegetable rice, a glass of fresh apple juice. She went to the refrigerator and brought out a strawberry pie, probably for dessert.

I couldn't eat out of excitement, what have we done to deserve this kindness, I looked at Alex and he was just staring at Halen in shock, I giggled and nudged him, he jerked back and shook his head.

"Thank you" he managed to say.

"Oh please, it's nothing" Halen brushed it off.

"Let's eat everyone" Mr. Alfred said as he sipped from his glass of juice, he made a funny face and stood up, he went to the sink which was behind the table and threw out the juice. He dropped the glass near the sink and turned to us. "This thing tastes as flat as indian ginger tea" he spat out and we all laughed.

He went to the small bar, and picked a bottle of wine and a glass, uncorked it and poured a good quantity into the glass.

"Does anybody want some" he asked raising the wine bottle.

Halen raised her glass of juice up, he poured some for her into the glass.

She sipped it and nodded her head with smile.

"That's my girl, always eating nonsense" Mr. Alfred commented, Halen hit his arm and we laughed. "What about you two" he asked us.

"Mmmh"

"It's good with the juice" Halen said.

Alex shrugged,"Alright, fine" Mr

Alfred poured some into his glass.

"Andra?"

"Nah, it's not good for me"

"Don't worry, it's not alcohol" Mr. Alfred persuaded me.

"Really, ok then" I gave him my glass and he poured some for me, I was about to drink it when he said

"It's just 2%" I spit out the whole thing and they laughed, wicked people

"I hate y'all " they laughed again.

"Don't worry, you will be fine" Mr. Alfred waved me off.

"Let's eat everyone" Halen stated and we started eating.

"So I'm guessing you guys used to run a stable, yea?" Alex broke the silence that has been built within 2 minutes.

"Yes boy, but a lot of people moved away from the country side and into the city so the business went down" Mr. Alfred answered.

"But we were already tired of it anyway, it went down at a good time, we had to retire" Halen added.

"That's good for you, running a stable is not an easy job" Alex stated. "Was there a game here as at then" he asked.

"Yes, a lot of people used to come from far and near to watch and play the games in the '90s, this county was the city then, it was so alive" Halen replied with a dreamy smile.

"The good old days" Mr. Alfred added and I smiled.

"I wish I was born by then, you can hardly see good country side horse games these days" Alex stated.

"Yea, I heard they now play in stadiums" Halen said.

"Yea, I prefer going to base ball games than horse games, and I hate baseball" Alex chuckled out and we laughed.

God, I feel like this is my family, but I still miss home, I miss dad, mum, jenny, Titi and most especially Lola.

"Andra are you OK" I heard Halen ask and I shook my head negatively.

Alex touched my hands "what's wrong he asked.

"I miss them, I'm sorry, I know I'm not supposed to but I do.."

"Who says you are not supposed to miss your family Andra" Mr. Alfred asked quietly.

"Yea, you have every right to miss them, they are your family, I'm sure they miss you too" Alex added.

I shook my head at him "no, they will never miss me for anything, especially my sisters" tears dropped down my eyes and I felt guilty for ruining this wonderful dinner.

"Hey, don't say that girl, they might be looking for you now" Mr. Alfredo stated.

Alex cleaned my face with his hands. "It's OK, I'm here, I'll always be here and I'll always protect you" he whispered to my hearing only and I nodded, I took a deep breath and braced myself.

"I'm so sorry for changing the atmosphere" I apologized.

"It's OK dear, just calm down alright" Halen smiled at me.

"I'm sorry but is there a way we can leave here without going through the airport" Alex asked.

"No, you have to go through an embassy, and also you have to be tested" Mr. Alfred answered.

"You just have to be patient until the baby gets to at least 2 years old, by then you both must have gotten more matured or at least you can lie your way out" Halen added.

Alex and I sighed in defeat.

2 years, we are stuck here for 2 years, no more school for us, we will be far behind the world, we won't know anything happening around us anymore, we will have to start picking pieces of us when we leave, this is gonna be difficult.

"My son's little house is 5 miles from here, he used to live there with his family before he went into military, they had to move to the city, I'm giving the house to you. You can stay there" Mr. Alfred stated as he took a spoon full of rice into his mouth.

Alex literally lost his tongue.

"What? Oh my God, thank you so much" I had to come to the rescue.

"Seriously, what did we do to deserve this" Alex asked.

"Oh please, that house has been there for a while now, it was recently cleaned by their cleaning lady because Pamela told her that her son will be coming back here from Miami where she now lives with her husband, but the boy branches off in Oklahoma and sent a message that he won't be coming, said he loves where he is and can only visit us when he chooses to" Mr. Alfred stated.

"I'm guessing Pamela was your son's wife" Alex asked and they nodded.

"Thank you so much" he added.

"It's nothing, we could do with a little company here" Halen replied. "Although there are a few other old couples who lives around with their grandkids but everyone likes to mind there own business and families.

"Thank you so much" I went to her and gave her a light hug, she patted my arm and Mr. Alfred smiled.

A few minutes later we were done with dinner.

I was helping Halen pack up the plates when she asked a question that threw Alex and I off balance.

"Do you two ever see yourselves as real couple in future, do you think you will ever get married someday?"

Alex and I exchanged glances, the moments we've had together flashed by my face and the kiss we shared that mid-morning began to play in my head, he stared intensely at me with his blue bright eyes.

"Whatever the answer is gonna be, I just want you two to know that you are perfect for each other, ignore anyone who tells you otherwise" Mr. Alfred stated and walked out.

I felt a flash by the window, I looked out and saw her glaring at me from the stable side, Alex was right, i hadn't studied her well, it was as if I was looking into a mirror but the other side was wearing an amour.

One question, why is she glaring at me this time instead of smiling like she always do.

She placed her hand on her sword and walked towards the window, that was when I noticed she has Alex's name encrypted on her chest but it has a red X crossed on it and there was blood dripping from the X.

What is that supposed to mean.
