Chapter 285: Chapter 285
Ye Ling looked at the three people, only to feel like she had just seen the world’s most ridiculous joke. After laughing enough, she coldly turned her gaze to the three, "Actually, it has always been my fault; you are not wrong."
Dong Minghui’s face turned pale, "Actually, we are also at fault, I..."
"My mistake has caused you three to become villains; I will never forgive myself for making such a mistake." Ye Ling mercilessly interrupted Dong Minghui, looking at the three with a chilling gaze, "I can’t let you three carry the guilt for my mistake for a lifetime, otherwise my conscience won’t be at peace."
As she spoke, Ye Ling slowly walked towards the three of them. As she approached, they retreated, until they were backed against the window. Two steps away, Ye Ling finally stopped.
Ye Ling’s gaze frightened Ma Yue, especially as Ye Ling closed in step by step. Fortunately, she finally stopped, "Ye Ling, since you know it’s your fault, then that’s good, don’t blame us. You’re just blind to yourself."
With a ’slap’, Ye Ling’s voice echoed, "You’re right, I’ve seen clearly, that’s why I’m talking so much nonsense with you."
"You dare to hit me?" Ma Yue covered her face. Had Fu Lei and Dong Minghui not held her back, she would have lunged forward.
Ye Ling was unmoved by Ma Yue’s outrage, looking down at her swollen hand, "It’s swollen; I wonder if that lessened the force."
Before the three could react to what Ye Ling said, another slap landed, this time on Dong Minghui’s face, while a kick struck Fu Lei’s stomach. Her actions were too fast, and she moved suddenly. Fu Lei and Dong Minghui never expected Ye Ling to make a move just after hitting Ma Yue. After all, when she had first learned the truth, Ye Ling was so calm; how could she then act out?
The slap to Dong Minghui made her see stars, and the kick to Fu Lei’s stomach was solid. With a low groan, Fu Lei crouched down, clutching his stomach.
"I really should thank Instructor Shen. During that military training, he said my self-defense looked like dancing. To avoid being the butt of jokes, I practiced a lot in private." Otherwise, how could she make Fu Lei feel such agonizing pain with just one kick?
Once Ma Yue came to her senses, she lunged at Ye Ling. She refused to believe that the three of them couldn’t overpower Ye Ling alone. Ye Ling was relentless, raising a leg to kick Ma Yue’s stomach, her hands moved like lightning, slapping Ma Yue dizzy. Paired with the tearing pain in her stomach, Ma Yue could only focus on defending herself, incapable of fighting back.
Once Ma Yue lost the strength to retaliate, Ye Ling turned her attention to Fu Lei, who had just recovered from the pain. Since Fu Lei was crouched down, Ye Ling’s kick landed on his face. Her moves were so fast that Fu Lei didn’t have a chance to react. As blood streamed from Fu Lei’s nose, Dong Minghui finally managed to tackle Ye Ling.
Ye Ling swiftly turned and straddled Dong Minghui, grabbing her hair on both sides of her head and slamming her head against the ground, "Do you know why I hit Zhao Guodong? To deal with you three despicable people, I’d rather take full responsibility alone, without dragging good people down with me. You three are simply not worthy."
Thinking of Zhao Guodong’s hurt expression, Ye Ling couldn’t stop her tears from falling. She knew she had hurt Zhao Guodong by doing this, but she couldn’t let him sacrifice for her anymore. So she decided to act, believing Fu Lei and the others, and drove Zhao Guodong away, so that no matter what happened, even if she ended up expelled, it would only affect her alone.
Thinking back to when she had hurt Zhao Guodong so badly, and how they had become strangers over the past half semester, yet when someone harmed her, Zhao Guodong was still the first to jump out to help her. Ye Ling felt like a fool, living a second life but letting those who cared about her get hurt. ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs, ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ᴠɪsɪᴛ noⅴelfire.net
She hated, she wished she could hit those three more.
The hatred in her heart fueled her actions. Ye Ling had gone mad, her mind blank, so every time she slammed Dong Minghui’s head on the ground, she used all her strength. At first, Dong Minghui could resist, but eventually, she could only scream, protecting her head, desperately struggling to escape Ye Ling’s hands, as her hair on both sides were yanked out, even tearing some skin off.
Ma Yue was terrified by Ye Ling’s frantic actions. Ignoring her own pain, she got up to attack Ye Ling. Despite the pain in her back, Ye Ling refused to let go until Fu Lei, who had climbed up, kicked her in the head, and Dong Minghui, with her scalp torn, was finally saved.
Ye Ling was kicked to the ground by Fu Lei, her head buzzing, her world falling silent for a moment. She couldn’t hear anything at all, then the noise returned, with Ma Yue’s cursing, Fu Lei’s swearing, Dong Minghui’s crying. Finally, Ye Ling’s world went silent again.
She held onto Fu Lei’s kicking leg, lunging at him with all her might. Fu Lei was knocked over, taking Ma Yue down with him. Ma Yue screamed, while Dong Minghui clutched her head, crying as she looked at Ye Ling. Meeting Ye Ling’s cold gaze only made her cry more. The commotion finally drew attention, and people rushed in from outside, dragging Ye Ling away from biting Fu Lei’s leg and stopping Fu Lei’s swung kick. Looking at the unfamiliar faces in front of her, she saw their mouths open and close, dragging her to sit down, while others pulled Ma Yue and the others up. Although it was lively in front of her, Ye Ling’s world had no sound, like watching a silent film.
Someone helped stop Fu Lei’s nosebleed, someone pressed paper on the sides of Dong Minghui’s head, Ma Yue sat on the bed crying. Ye Ling sat quietly on the chair until Zhao Guodong squeezed through the crowd, kneeling anxiously in front of her.
Watching Zhao Guodong take a tissue to stop the blood from her nose, and wipe the back of her head, seeing the tissue stained red from wiping, Zhao Guodong let out a furious shout.
Fortunately, people nearby held him down. Zhao Guodong could only crouch back in front of Ye Ling, eyes red, "It’s okay now, once the blood is wiped clean, you’ll be fine. We’ll go to the medical room, and you’ll be okay soon."
He replaced the paper again and again, the paper always turning red after wiping. Zhao Guodong’s fists clenched and unclenched repeatedly, his eyes red, yet he still gently reassured Ye Ling before him, "It’s alright now, we’re going to the medical room."
On the other side, Fu Lei and the other two were also helped out. Ye Ling sat still, staring at Zhao Guodong with a silly grin, like a child, "Why aren’t you speaking? Are you teasing me again?"
