Chapter 360: Chapter 360
The man was unlike his usual self. Considering Bianca Everett was the younger sister of a close friend, he deliberately toned down his aura, but the oppressive feeling was still intense.
Even Bianca felt a chill down her spine, involuntarily stepping back a few paces.
By the time she realized it, Damian Quinn had already brushed past her, heading towards the Everett Family home. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ novel·fire.net
Remembering her promise not to let Damian Quinn enter, Bianca shouted in panic, "If you go in now, you’ll only make Serena angrier!"
At her words, the man’s steps came to an abrupt halt, and he stood still.
Thinking of the little girl’s angry expression earlier, Damian didn’t dare take another step into the Everett Family’s territory, clearly afraid of upsetting her further.
Seeing that Damian indeed refrained from entering, Bianca couldn’t help but show a look of surprise, but then raised her eyebrows slightly.
Damian Quinn actually had moments , obediently listening! It seemed their precious little sister held a higher place in the family hierarchy than Damian!
Damian did not step foot into the Everett Family home, but neither did he leave, standing quietly at the door, gazing at the window of Serena Everett’s lit room from afar.
Witnessing this, Bianca found him lonely and desolate, inexplicably evoking a sense of pity...
As soon as this thought crossed her mind, Bianca quickly dismissed it internally. She must be insane to feel sorry for Damian Quinn!
"You can stand here all you want, but Serena won’t see you!"
Bianca left these words behind and turned back into the Everett home.
The man’s tall, slender figure remained motionless, waiting silently at the door, a cigarette delicately held between his artistic-like fingers.
Since Master Damian started seeing Serena Everett, he had quit smoking because Serena didn’t like the smell; thus, he never smoked again.
When Chase Sherman saw Damian with a cigarette in hand, he immediately offered his lighter respectfully.
But to his surprise, the man pushed him away, his expression cold, "No need, take it away."
He had promised the young girl he wouldn’t smoke again. Even though his mood was at its most agitated, he had to hold back.
"Understood, Master Damian!"
Chase marveled at Damian’s self-control, responding respectfully before silently stepping aside.
Time passed, minute by minute, and the night deepened.
Chase’s legs were numb from standing, unable to resist speaking, "Master Damian, it’s getting late. Are you still going to wait?"
The man’s voice was cold and sharp, deterring any thoughts of defying his order.
Chase naturally didn’t dare defy him and immediately withdrew.
Damian remained motionless, his gaze fixed on the girl’s lit window, the veins on his large hands bulging as he struggled to control the surging emotions within.
Serena, is Lucas Laine that important to you?
Serena had just managed to block all news of the confiscated goods when Claire Keaton’s call came through.
"Claire, what’s the matter calling so late?"
On the other end, Claire let out a soft snort, "Sweetheart, Damian Quinn’s already confiscated our Netherworld Syndicate’s cargo. You won’t let us settle the score with him, and now you’ve completely blocked the news. You’re protecting him too much!"
Hearing Claire’s displeasure, Serena spoke gently, "Claire, I promise that shipment will be returned to you intact. Please don’t be mad at him! And don’t tell Master about this either."
Claire immediately reacted, her brows furrowing deeply, "Sweetheart, are you really planning to take Damian Quinn to see Master in the future?!"
Though Master wasn’t their real relative, he was like a father to them. If Serena planned to introduce Damian Quinn to Master, it was no different from meeting the parents, implying Serena was truly serious about Damian Quinn...
