Chapter 193: Chapter 193
As soon as Serena Everett entered the classroom, she was surrounded like stars gathering around the moon.
"Serena, you’re not just the goddess of Imperia University now, you’re the goddess of the entire internet!"
"Yeah, yeah, Serena, the way you dealt with that trash Rosalind Ford was so cool!"
"So cool and dashing, I’m absolutely in love!!!"
Serena, with her indifferent nature, had no interest in these things and just nodded casually.
Standing in the last row was a new face, a girl dressed fashionably and pretty, obviously a young lady from a wealthy family.
Eleanor Linden watched as Serena was adored by everyone, a trace of jealousy flashing in her eyes, her face looking a bit unpleasant, she sneered disdainfully.
What’s with the pretense? Clearly enjoying being worshipped by them, yet putting on a lofty act—it’s just sickening to watch!
Though her "tsk" was soft, Serena still heard it and only then noticed the new face in the classroom.
Summer Miller noticed Serena’s gaze and immediately began to introduce her. Ever since Serena saved her life during a competition by detoxifying her, Summer admired Serena even more and became her number one fan.
"Serena, this is the new transfer student, um... what’s her name again, I forgot..."
"Ah... right, what’s her name again?"
Everyone in the class scratched their heads in embarrassment; they were so excited when Serena entered the classroom that they completely forgot about the new student!
Seeing that no one in the class remembered her name, Eleanor’s face turned even more sour, but she suppressed her anger and spoke up.
After all, she had to stay in this class for a few years and of course had to get along with them and maintain her lady-like image!
Eleanor quickly regained her poised and elegant demeanor and spoke graciously.
"Since everyone seems to have forgotten, let me reintroduce myself. I’m Eleanor Linden, perhaps you’ve heard of the Linden Family’s name, so I don’t need to say much more." Google seaʀᴄh novel·fiɾe·net
Her words dripped with a sense of superiority. In Imperia, a city full of wealthy people, the Linden Family was certainly a noble family with a prestigious reputation.
"A few years back, because our family’s business shifted focus to Vardos, I moved there with my family. Now I’m back at Imperia University for studies, I hope to get along well with all of you and become good friends in the days to come."
As soon as she finished, Eleanor’s eyes fell on Serena, who looked indifferent, with a hint of hostility and contempt.
She had just transferred here today, intending to steal the spotlight, but didn’t expect Serena to walk in and steal everyone’s attention immediately.
She dresses so plainly without a single brand name on her, clearly just a poor girl with nothing but a pretty face!
Why should someone like her steal the spotlight that belongs to a Linden family young lady?!
"Serena, she seems to have something against you," Summer whispered.
Serena didn’t care, her beautiful, porcelain face brimming with a casual demeanor.
In Eleanor’s eyes, this just showed she didn’t take her seriously, making Eleanor’s expression even worse.
Seeing Serena about to return to her seat, her classmates knew she was a germophobe and immediately started taking action.
"Serena, wait a moment, let me wipe the desk for you!"
"Let me, let me! Let me wipe it for Serena!"
"Get out of the way, you’ve had the turn several days, it’s my turn this time!"
Seeing the classmates run to cater to Serena again, Eleanor almost couldn’t keep a composed look on her face.
She really couldn’t understand what the medical students were thinking, ignoring her, the Linden young lady, and instead currying favor with the poor girl Serena!
Fighting to wipe her desk, are they crazy?!
"Serena, the desk is now spotless, you can sit without worry!"
Serena curled her lips in a polite smile, "Thank you."
"No need to thank, serving you is my honor!"
"Also, adjust the air conditioning lower, don’t let Serena get too warm!" Summer noticed a few tiny sweat drops on Serena’s forehead and spoke thoughtfully.
Before they could respond, Eleanor stood up, "Sorry, I’m quite sensitive to cold, better not adjust the air conditioning."
Hearing this, Summer frowned, clearly, Eleanor was picking a fight.
The rest of the class noticed too; going against Serena means going against them!
Their enthusiasm toward Eleanor quickly cooled.
"Mr. Linden, just wear another layer!"
"Yeah, yeah, I have an extra coat, I can lend it to you!"
She wouldn’t wear these paupers’ clothes! She had worn brand names since childhood; who knows how dirty their clothes were!
Eleanor wanted to say more, but a sharp-eyed person excitedly shouted.
"Serena, Campus Prince Keaton is here to see you!"
Serena lazily glanced out the window and saw Aidan Keaton standing outside the classroom.
"You all misunderstood, Aidan probably came to see me!" Eleanor’s face instantly broke into a proud smile as she spoke.
The Linden and Keaton families had good relations; surely, Aidan knew she transferred to Imperia University today and came specifically to see her!
Aidan, with his family background and appearance, in front of so many people, came to see her, greatly satisfying Eleanor’s vanity.
She eagerly headed outside to Aidan, wearing her self-perceived prettiest smile.
"Aidan, it’s been a while, didn’t expect you to visit Imperia University today to see me..."
Eleanor’s words of reminiscing were abruptly interrupted by Aidan’s cold voice, "I’m not here to see you, please move."
Eleanor’s smile froze on her face, as if slapped hard by an invisible hand.
Aidan didn’t even glance at her and walked into the classroom, his gaze landing precisely on Serena.
"Serena... Senior, can you step out? I want to talk to you."
Serena originally didn’t want to move, but when she met Eleanor’s murderous glare, she wickedly curled her lips and agreed.
She was the type who liked to rebel.
Watching their backs, the classmates couldn’t help but gossip.
"Campus Prince Keaton, could he be confessing to Serena again?"
"Tsk tsk tsk, who knows! I do think Campus Prince Keaton and Serena make a great match!"
"Yeah, yeah, so compatible, like beauty and brains! Pity Serena doesn’t fancy Campus Prince Keaton!"
