Still that's the most interesting part of a novel that's fairly average other than that.also it's worth mentioning that it's not nationalist at all, contrarily to what it seems from the cover. In the first half they're too poor to think about anything more abstract than their next meal, and in the second they're too busy shitting out kids. Why does the character in the novel cover look like she's about to deny what happened in Tiananmen Square. Seems chapter 19 is missing
