Chapter 33: Chapter 33
She took a deep breath, but it vanished as soon as the man approached her, and she saw what it looked like. The man had a large scar on his face and his body was half burned naked on top. She almost scream on her mind.
Who is this man? Is this her last life?
"Who are you?" she inquired quickly. She didn't appear to be afraid of its shape or presence.
He inhaled the cigarette he was holding and slowly exhaled the smoke while looking at her. The twinkle in its eyes signals danger. "Mr. Hayes asked me to get rid of you, Ms. Sahada."
She was surprised by what it said. It took her a long time to figure out, especially the last name he mentioned earlier. Hudson? Her heart was suddenly choked, but before the pain could consume her, she numb her heart. Bullshit!
"Do you want to die in pain or in a delicious way?"
"Go fuck someone else's mind!" She shouted.
it still did not leave her presence. Her attention was fixed on the cigarette he was holding. "Why would Hudson do that if he could kill me with his own hands?" Her response was distinct. Whatever she did to pull the rope tied to her two wrists was ineffective. The tie is too tight for her to leave without assistance.
The man smiled and took a step away from her. He returned to his seat and smoked the cigarette he was now halfway through.
"He's done with your game, and to make the story sound dramatic, he's fucking tired to kill a whore."
'Fuck you Hudson!' She screamed in her head.
After all of her life spent protecting him, this is what will kill her? She thought Yx was her enemy, but she was mistaken because she forgot the Doctor was a demon, and she wanted to get out of this fucking bed and kill the Doctor.
"Such a pathetic son of a bitch," she grinned, even though she knew her smile was angry.
"I know, darling." He then placed the cigarette butt in the ashtray and looked at her. "Any last words?"
"Go, die!"
But all she got was a big smile in return. He stood up and undressed in front of her, first removing his belt, then his pants.
No! She cried out to her brain.
Her weakness emerged despite her efforts to calm herself. She struggled, but her bond became even tighter. What can she do in these situations?
She's no longer the pitiful woman she used to be. She tries to calm her mind despite knowing it is impossible for her to escape, but she must. His nakedness was constantly exposed in front of her, and she struggled to devise a strategy to prevent evil from being planned against her. The man would die before he could rape her body.
She screamed when it touched her foot. No, the game is not over! His hand crawled up her leg. She wanted to kill it right now, but she couldn't. The disgust spread quickly throughout her body, especially when his lip touched her and licked her foot.
"Once I get rid of this rope, I'll break your head to pieces!"
He just laughed and licked her foot even more while stroking her leg. "You try..."
She closes her eyes, disgusted. Her body was frail, but what could she do? She reverted to her former self, with nothing she could do to save herself. Her tears dripped slightly, and it was all because of Hudson! That's all. She shouldn't have enslaved so many people, she shouldn't have obeyed Yx, and she shouldn't have let him use it! She should have just killed him. She's too frail, that's the truth.
His lips crept up to her thigh, and she tasted the blood dripping from her lips as she resisted crying and shouting. She kept her cool despite the fact that she knew what she was thinking was impossible.
When the man hand touched the button of her undergarment, there was a knock, the door opened, and the hooded and masked man entered.
"I'm focused on the food in front of me. Get out!" Yelled the man.
She was relieved when the man stop and faced the newcomer. He approached the demon man in front of her and whispered something. The man was taken aback and quickly put on his pants and belt.
"Stay here, cunt, I'll take you to hell later." He smiled as they exited the room.
She took a few deep breaths, but she immediately thought of a way out. She checked her wrist to see if she was still wearing the bracelet, but it was gone. She looked around, but the red color of her surroundings made her head hurt even more. She tried pulling the rope again, but it was too tight and strong.
She was lying on that big bed, so she couldn't move in case her plan failed. She wanted to scream in rage. Heaven will decide what she will do here once she sees Hudson.
A new visitor arrived a few minutes later. He approached her quickly and removed the rope tied to her with the knife in his hand, without saying anything. She couldn't see the man face who helped her today because he was masked and hooded. When he had finally untied her, he went to her and told her to get up and get off that bed.
He handed her a piece of paper that she mistook for a map of the area and then pointed to the window she had just noticed. He also grabbed her with a gun and pushed her away.
"Who are you?" she had to ask.
It did not respond. The man tied an escape rope to the side of the window and motioned for her to go down there.
"Why are you helping me? Who are you?"
He response in sign language. She was taken aback and nodded. She quickly climbed out the window to escape that hell. That is a good thing, and there are still good people in the world. There were many guards outside, but because it was dark in that area, she was able to get down freely and sneak in without making a sound. She waited for the man to come down as well, but he just signed language again and vanished from her sight. Many thoughts raced through her mind, but she knew she had to flee.
Abhaya was completely back to normal when she hid behind large plant pots. She tried to look at the map she was holding, but because it was dark, she couldn't see anything. The magazine she was holding was fully loaded, but she only used it when she was in a hurry. Whoever helped her, she would be grateful, and she would return the kindness one day.
A few meters away, she notices five men walking her way. They didn't have any weapons in their hands, but she could tell they weren't casual based on the physique of the bodies. She devised a plan to enter without being noticed. She was used to it, but not now because she still had a headache and a slight dizziness. It appears that the person who made it smelled a mixture of other chemicals.
She had forgotten. There was a shooter nearby. She landed quickly where she was. In the distance, she noticed two men fall. She pointed the gun and aimed it at one of them, but she didn't have to because the three of them were the next to die. Bull's eye. She crawled around, looking for a place to hide. She wanted to kill, but she lacked the necessary strength and ammunition. She had to leave first, and she would return to Hudson someday.
"Stop right there." Someone focused the gun on her head. She came to a halt and raised her hand. Today, she was approached by a tall, bald man. "Throw your gun, woman," he said, the gun still aimed at her head.
She did as she was told, but the man was surprised when her hand move quickly, and grabbed its elbow and broke her hand. It screamed in agony but then collapsed. Someone was shooting the man. She quickly picked up the gun she'd thrown away and ran away. She needed to get out of there right away.
Someone had already grabbed her hand because he hadn't gone far enough. She was about to fire the gun she was holding when she noticed the man who had helped her get stuck in that room earlier. She was unusually happy. It quickly drew her in and carried her somewhere. She simply let him do it.
Her gaze was drawn to the hand that held her; why did the heat emanating from there seem familiar to her? Did she recognize this stranger? When someone intercepted them and mercilessly shot some men in front, she quickly pulled her and squeezed her body. Her mind is racing and she can't concentrate, possibly due to the chemical or the presence of the man who is now holding her hand. What is this person's name? Why does she appear so intimate when she isn't?
"Death to them!"
When she heard that loud shout and a series of bullets engulfed the surroundings, Abhaya's spirit was finally awakened. It might have hit her if it hadn't immediately pulled her into a tunnel in a wall. It quickly pushed her away. It was dark and there was no moon, but the waves she heard were soft, indicating that they were in a seaside location.
"Save yourself by taking the motorboat. Go!" The man exclaimed, reaching for her the key and something the size of a pencil. It's a flashlight.
She simply nodded in agreement and dashed in the direction it indicated. She was taken aback when she saw the motorboat ahead of her. Is it her voice, which she recognizes, or is she just playing with her hearing? She even managed to turn to face the man, but he was gone. She shook her head and made her way to the beach. Impossible. No. She was mistaken, and she knew it was impossible.
She quickly inserted the key to turn it on. But she hadn't even started the motorboat on the beach when she felt a strong gunshot wound in her back. She smiled as she closed her eyes for a brief moment. How many people are constantly striking her body? How much pain and suffering has she endured? How much blood did she lose as a result of this work?
Her entire body went numb all of a sudden, and it was only then that she realized the gunman had used a powerful type of gun because it had penetrated her chest.
She fell into the water and tasted the salty seawater. Will she die now? It appears that this is where her life is headed. She couldn't cry out in pain as long as her gaze was fixed on the sky and all she could see was darkness. Her body sank, and her eyes closed completely. She will perish in the land of strangers.
THEY say we only have one life, but they are incorrect. We live each day and die only once. So forgive while you still have the opportunity to forgive that person, hate less, and love more while you still have the opportunity. Because life is too short to take anything seriously. Be out of the ordinary and do things that make you happy and content.
When Abhaya opened her eyes, she found herself in a foreign room. She noticed she was in a private room with devices attached to her. She awoke suddenly. When the bullet pierced her, she felt dizzy and her chest hurt. Thank goodness she's still alive... She came to a halt and stared blankly at nothing. Who drove her here? She must have passed away by now.
She looked around, but she couldn't see anything else besides the devices and the soft sofa to one side. She also noticed the morning because of the sunlight attempting to penetrate the glass window. She closed her eyes for a moment before waking up and removing the devices attached to her body.
She despises it. Yx knows she doesn't want to spend her life in a hospital bed, and she despises it. So, if she used to have injuries, she always fails in the laboratory or is treated personally. She is constantly haunted by the events of the past.
Just like in the past, but now with a twist. She walked her feet up to the glass window and looked outside. She discovered she was still in a foreign country. She clung to the wall as quickly as she could. Her body wasn't ready for it yet.
"Ma'am!" exclaimed the female nurse, who quickly arrived and assisted her back to bed. The Pinay nurse's entire expression was concerned. "You are not permitted to roam."
"I need to leave," she stated flatly.
She was taken aback, but she quickly nodded. "It's not possible because your wound hasn't healed yet, Ma'am. The bullet struck your heart, and it's a good thing you were brought here right away."
"Who brought me here?" She asked as she examined the medication she was carrying in a box.
"Doc was the one who spoke to the person who brought you, but I think you're lucky, madam. So, if at all possible, let's return this to IV to your hand, I do not want to be fired. By any chance, my family has nothing to eat in the Philippines."
Its own life drama. She didn't want to, but her words against the family seemed sincere, so she nodded and stabbed her again with another needle. It was also injected into the medium of dextrose medicine, and she felt heaviness in her eyes after a while. The darkness that had enslaved her had no end. It was also exhausting at times, and she seemed to want to sleep in that bed for the rest of her life.
"Wake up, Abhaya..."
"I've arrived..."
"I apologize for everything..."
"Wake up, please. Sleeping for two months is not acceptable. Would you please wake up?"
She hears words but her eyes do not have the strength to open. She does not want to be awakened. Isn't that the case? Will something good happen if she ever wakes up? Will she never be used for the benefit of those around her again?
She thought that after nearly two years of loss, the pain would be completely gone, but it wasn't. Nobody remained silent. She was even more distressed. She trusted but was betrayed by someone she thought was a friend. Why else would she be awake? What will her reason be this time? No, it's preferable that way. When she wakes up, she will be just as frail as before.
"Please return..."
"I need you..."
NOTHING will be retained. People changed, and so did their emotions. Learn to stand on your own because the people you thought would never let you go will one day let you go.
Abhaya immediately opened her eyes. She came across another white ceiling. She did it without emotion for a few minutes. The entire room was silent, and it was only then that she realized she was in a hospital private room.
There's a basket of fresh flowers on the side table, but it's the beautiful paintings on the wall inside that room that drew her attention. She didn't bother getting out of bed and just lay there.
Theon spat as the door opened. When she saw her awake, she was filled with joy.
"God, you're awake!"
No. I'm no longer alive. She wanted to scream that word, but it stayed in her head. She was most likely alive because she was still alive and breathing.
"I thought you were going to sleep on that bed forever." It then laughed. He carried a flower basket and placed it on the side table.
Theon was the source of the flowers? She rolled her eyes. She nodded and ignored what he said. Her hand trembled as she removed the oxygen from her nose and was able to sit up despite her weakness.
"Hey, hey woman, you're not okay yet, and you just awoke from a long sleep." Theon attended to her quickly and gently patted her on the head.
She returns to lying down, and she stares at the ceiling again, emotionless. How long has she been sleeping, and Theon is over reacting? And why this animal still alive? She assumed he's already dead.
"Why are you still alive?"
He laughed and scratched his head at what she said. "I believe you want me to perish, ah. In any case, I'm glad you're awake. I'll call the doctor..."
"No," she responded quickly.
He just nodded and shrugged. He leaned against the nearby window and pulled the curtain back. She could see heavy rain and lightning outside her window.
"There's a storm," Theon said, looking out the window, "and you slept in that bed in almost a year."
She was taken aback by what he said. How much time does she spend sleeping? "W-why?"
"You were poisoned by a phony nurse. You must be dead now, but the Doctors did everything in their power to save you." It took a serious look at her. It made a mess, and she looked at her intently. "So you were brought back to the Philippines, and you are completely healed here."
This was something she remembered the nurse saying. It's a shame she didn't die. She didn't say anything. She examined her needle-wielding hand. She despises it! It's difficult for her to remove it, but she can't because Theon is present.
His phone soon rang. "Jackylyn!" Theon exclaimed quickly, his face lighting up.
She turned to face the young man. Is it her friend on the other end of the line? How is the lady doing? She also has no information on how things are going right now.
"Yeah-yeah, I'm here at the hospital," he admitted, "but not me." Laugh it off. "This is Kianna Trunt, my friend."
She waited for the next thing he say, but the other line abruptly disconnected. Theon shrugged and reinserted his cellphone into his pocket. She was relieved to learn that her friend was safe.
Theon didn't waste any time in saying goodbye to her. He stated that she had just passed by to see if she was awake. She only nodded and didn't say anything. Is she visited by anyone other than the man? When the door opened again, she closed her eyes, and when she peeked through the other, there was a nurse and a doctor. She sighed quietly and simply waited for them to leave.
TIME passed slowly, and Abhaya could see the outside world through the window, so she knew it was night.
She was also not hungry, and she had no appetite.
"Kienie!"
The newly arrived person surprised her, and when she looked back, she saw Jackylyn. Her joy was visible on her face, and she quickly hugged her. She couldn't help but smile at what it did.
"You're killing me!"
“No. I'll simply strangle you! I assumed you died because I hadn't heard from you in a long time, and only Theon could tell me where you were." It slapped her arm, causing her to nod off.
She would tweak it a hundred times and pull out all the hairs once she was healed. "In the case of Theon..."
Jackylyn entire face turned red, and the two of them collided in temptation. Only when she mentioned that she wanted to leave and asked for help did they get serious about the conversation. Shock flashed across its face, but it did nothing but nod.
"Shit! It's a good thing Theon didn't know I was gone and came here in secret." It locked its gaze on her and crossed its arms in front of her.
"I want to leave right now."
That was its thought. She said her goodbyes and went out because she only needed a moment. Abhaya removed the tubes that were attached to her. She's also strong, and even though she had just awoken, she no longer felt strange in her body. When Jackylyn returned, she was carrying a paper bag with a dress of being a nurse.
She laughed and joked about it. Being a nurse is preferable to being an undercover agent. She handed her the paper bag, which turned out to be the dress she had been wearing earlier. It was fine with the two of them if she quickly put it on in front of it. They got out of that building without worry. The rain stopped, as if embarrassed by her presence.
They're still good at pretending to be two girls, so perhaps they'll always be colleagues at work. She didn't have a car, so they just grabbed a taxi and she didn't ask where they were going.
Her eyes widened as she noticed the man she didn't want to see... Hudson. She had just gotten out of her car and was being followed by a woman who appeared to be the same age as Jacky, but her attention was drawn to the building he entered, where they were only friends. What exactly is it doing there?
She quickly glanced at the hospital's name, and it had just occurred to her that she was in a Hayes Hospital. Merde! Why didn't it kill her while she was in charge of his hospital? Maybe he doesn't know? But that is not possible. When she was forced to think about why, her head ached.
"Wait a minute, Manong," Jacky said to the driver as it took the wheel, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I am." And she informed the driver that they need to left that location.
