Chapter 18: Chapter 18

ELLAH'S sleeping spirit was awakened by the loud sound of her cellphone. During the few months she spends in Russia, this is all she does. She would get up, eat, go for a walk on the beach with her housemaid, and then watch TV in the living room when she got home, or eat all sorts of fruits except watermelon, which she hates.

It's also a great feat because Azael hasn't called her in over 4 months since he left. She doesn't have a money problem because he left her a large sum of money, including a credit card that she believes will never expire. Azael has been a great help to her, and one day she will be able to repay him for his efforts.

But she is hurt every time she thinks of Cuhen and his face appears in her mind.

Her decision to flee was better, and there was nothing wrong with it. She adores Cuhen, but she also adores herself and her child. She didn't want her child to grow up with a father, but the father didn't care about her. She'll be a father and mother to her child. She would never tell Cuhen they were having a kid unless Azael and Herrence told him.

"Hello?" she said, barely able to open her mouth due to her drowsiness. She is still in the mood to sleep. She's pregnant now, and all she sees is a pillow and a bed. Fortunately, her assistant was nearby, reminding her to take daily walks.

She heard a loud sigh on the other end of the line and then disappeared. She just frowned and brushed it off. She made the decision to resume her drowsiness. But she soon felt the door to her room open...

"Just put the milk and apples on the side table, thank you," she remembered saying before falling asleep again.

She has no idea how many hours she slept, but when she awoke, it was already dark outside and...

"How are you sleeping? Did you have a dream about me?”

She screamed in fear and jumped out of bed as quickly as she could. She was taken aback when she noticed the man sitting comfortably in the rocking chair, staring at her intently. Its legs are square, and one hand is deep in thought under its chin.

"Wait, why are you here? How did you manage to g-get in? H-how did you manage to keep up with me?!" She was holding her stomach when his gaze was drawn to her bulging stomach.

"Your housemaid let me in, and basically, I'm here to settle things," he said as he stood up and moved closer to her.

"Don't get too close to me!"l Just stop right there!" she yelled angrily. What is the meaning of its presence in front of her? Does this imply that it is present because he love her? Will she make an assumption?

“No. You took half of me when you left, and I'm here to take it back," he said darkly, and her fear of Cuhen returned.

She pondered how she would be able to flee once more. Her brow furrows. She couldn't understand what he was saying, or she didn't want to because she was afraid of what it meant.

"You can't run away from me now that you're carrying my child in your womb."

It was as if a bomb had gone off. If Cuhen pursues her, it's not because he loves her, but because he's worried about the baby.

Who said she's pregnant? And how did it track her down? Did she believe he didn't want to go to Russia?

"And who told you it was yours?! Asshole!.This is Kleve's child." She felt like slapping herself. Kleve never claimed her, but this was the only way she knew how to stop Cuhen.

He abruptly came to a halt and backed away. The darkness in his face vanished for a brief moment, but the next thing he did she regretted because he was so quick with lightning that it approached her and she was forcefully locked against the cement wall.

"I had you devirginized. I took you all. So tell me, Ellah, you're just lying. That child's father is me. I understand... It's in your eyes, I can tell. You have feelings for me as well."

Blood rushed to her head, and she glared angrily at him. Cuhen appears to be in pain. In what way? When he forced her and she nearly cursed in fear and rage?

"You are not the biological father of this child. And, besides, I've never loved you," she smirked at the lie.

“Damn! Shut up," Cuhen hissed, repeatedly punching the wall. Even though his hand was bleeding, it didn't stop.

"Cuhen, stop!" she exclaimed, suddenly feeling sorry for him. Did she do it correctly? No, yes. Argh!

"Screw it! Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!" It delivered another powerful blow to the wall before coming to a halt. "I took great pains to find you. I looked everywhere. I almost went insane..." his voice trailed off.

She was taken aback by what she heard. Her breathing came to a halt for a brief moment, and she stared in disbelief at Cuhen. Really? Is it insane to try to find her? Is it possible that he has feelings for her? She wanted to caress his cheek and treat his hand, but her mind told her not to.

"When I found out yesterday that he had hidden you from me, I almost killed that fucking bullshit Azael. But, thank God, I didn't kill him, or else I'd be consumed by intense guilt." His voice growled, his eyes glazed over, "That the woman I've learned to love so much — is the woman who can't learn to love me at all." He stormed out.

It was as if a bomb had exploded on her. She couldn't speak. She just stared and blinked for a few minutes until her system slowly accepted what Cuhen said just now. She covered her mouth while crying. It's like rain that never stops dripping. She quickly ran to the door to follow him.

"Cuhen!" she came running tearfully.

"He left about three minutes ago," her housekeeper said.

She slid to the floor weakly, her tears falling, and she smiled like a fool, still unable to believe what had happened; she wanted to shout in delight!

Cuhen obviously loves her?

Azael's face was bruised the next day when he entered her room, but she still smiled as if she had won the lottery when she saw the angel who would bring her back to the Philippines! She immediately hugged Azael as she reflected on what she had done.

"Please take me back to the Philippines right now!" She begged him.

"Why? Isn't Cuhen here? He almost killed me! And then he didn't come here? Damn that idiot!"

"He was here yesterday but left. He was hurt, and he said it all; Cuhen loves me! Azael, your cousin loves me; take me home right now, and I'll tell him I love him!"

Azael shook his head, and there was no choice but to follow her request. So that day, it took her to the private plane, and they left Russia; she doesn't know where to look for Cuhen first, but it's up to her!

He was the first to arrive on the island, but Cuhen was not there. The storm destroyed almost the entire household, leaving strewn bottles of alcohol and broken equipment everywhere. Her heart was broken to think that Cuhen had gone insane as a result of her disappearance, so she decided to clean up all the clutter inside the house first, despite her exhaustion from the trip.

CUHEN knocked over the whiskey bottle without hesitation, and Herrence glanced at Farhistt and Zyd Caiden. They were in his mansion, which he owned.

"Here we are, when we are brokenhearted!" Herrence once fixed his gaze on the contents of the cup he was holding.

"You're a dickhead, Herrence!" "Shut up or I'll cut out your tongue," he said flatly, dropping the empty bottle.

Farhistt, on the other hand, sat quietly to one side, listening. Zyd was singing and dancing.

“Damn! She's going to have a baby with someone else." He's drunk.

"And you believe her ruses?" Farhistt also was interrupted. "Cuhen bro, I was overjoyed when I found out my sister was going to marry you at the time. But seeing you act like shit for a woman again? It's excessive."

"What if she simply lied to you? You're smart, but you're stupid when it comes to that." Zyd laughed before retiring to bed. He's had enough of dancing like a moron.

"How is Azael that you thrashed? Does he still exist?" Herrence inquired later.

He did not respond. He simply opened another bottle of whiskey and drank it again. What Zyd and Farhistt said stayed with him. Lies? Ellah could lie to him, for sure! Damn! He let go of the whiskey all of a sudden. Why hadn't he thought of that? Herrence, on the other hand, apologized to them for a brief moment because he had been called.

“Damn! You are completely right. She's tricking me! I've got to go get her—"

"Cuhennnn!" yelled his insane friend Herrence. "Azael called to tell you that Ellah had left Russia and he had no idea where she had gone. She ran away again, he said, and she didn't want to see you."

His chin started to feel euphoric. Fuck! Not ever again. Someone hits his neck before he can call Azael and tell him he's going to cut his shaft. He dozed off on the floor.

"Damn shit, Herrence!" Yelled one of the two. "What are you up to?"

"Azael phoned me. Let us take our friend to his dear queen to put an end to his madness."
