Chapter 1015: Chapter 1015
Yun Ya sent Yanyan to Ji Die and asked Uncle Chang to assign a few people to protect Ji Die secretly. Before leaving, she repeatedly reminded her to keep the pregnancy a secret. Ji Die seemed to sense something and nodded solemnly.
Yun Ya prepared many gifts, which had already been sent to Capital City ahead of time. She only carried a backpack, packed some daily necessities, and grabbed Yan Song as they moved through the bustling train station.
It was Yun Ya’s first time at the train station, and she was so stunned by the grandeur that she was left speechless. There were people everywhere, a massive crowd, most of whom were northerners carrying luggage bags with their families, migrating to the south for work. Find the newest release on ⓝovelFire.net
The two lined up, and when it was her turn, the young ticket inspector was momentarily confused by the name and photo on the ID card. Instinctively, he looked up at the woman with a headscarf covering her face, behind whom stood an extraordinarily tall and handsome man, resembling a wall shielding the villagers struggling with their large and small baggage.
The young girl pulled away the headscarf, revealing a picturesque face that was in stark contrast with the noisy train station, and for a moment, the world seemed to quiet down a little.
The girl’s eyebrows curved and she smiled brightly and sweetly, putting her hands together in a pleading gesture that was hard to refuse.
The ticket inspector understood subtly, nodded lightly, and quickly checked the tickets, then saw the girl pulling the man by the hand and running inside.
How could a socialite be squeezing onto a train? That man must be her boyfriend, he’s really handsome, and they look like a matching couple.
Thoughts raced through his mind as the ticket inspector returned to the next round of busyness, having no time to think about these matters any longer.
Yan Song’s gaze swept over the queue, noticing three or four men carrying luggage bags that caught his attention, with a few skinny eight-year-old children following them.
"Brother Yan, what are you looking at?"
"Nothing, let’s go in." Yan Song retracted his gaze indifferently, wrapping his arm around Yun Ya’s waist as they walked in.
Yun Ya shoved her ID to him. The ID had Yan Song’s photo, but the name, address, and birth date were all fake. Yun Ya didn’t ask much about it.
Not far away, Ah Yun and Mingyue were leisurely lined up, sighing once again at the long queue ahead.
Both were somewhat well-known, and to avoid being recognized and causing unnecessary trouble, they both dressed simply. Even if seen, no one would connect them to their true identities.
Mingyue wore a wig and sunglasses to pretend to be blind, but his demeanor still stood out in the crowd.
Ah Yun donned a wavy wig that gave her a mature, womanly charm.
Ah Yun turned to look at Mingyue, "Keep looking, and I’ll gouge out your eyeballs." Mingyue’s face was as expressionless as a blind person.
Ah Yun covered her mouth and laughed, "You look like a street performer, just hold a broken bowl to beg, and plenty of people would be willing to give money just for that face of yours."
Mingyue snorted dismissively from his nose, full of disdain.
Uncle Feng had naturally bought the most comfortable soft sleeper, the train’s finest class, featuring a private small room with two berths on either side and a small table in between, otherwise completely visible.
The sleeper was tiny, just enough for one person, leaving at most half an inch of space beside, but length-wise... Yun Ya thought that with Brother Yan’s height, half his legs would surely be sticking out.
Yun Ya circled around, curiously inspecting everything. Yan Song took down Yun Ya’s backpack, pulled out a water bottle, and handed it to Yun Ya’s lips.
Yun Ya waved her hand, "I’m not thirsty now."
After speaking, she opened the door a crack and peeked out. This section of the carriage was silent except for occasional footsteps. When someone approached, Yun Ya quickly closed the door.
"It’s nice; this room is just for us. Brother Yan, I think it’s more fun than flying." Yun Ya said, beaming with a smile.
Yan Song smiled and began taking items from the bag, including water, biscuits, and various snacks, along with the brown sugar water he’d particularly instructed Aunt Li to make, stored in a thermos, and placed them all on the table.
Just then, a knock sounded on the door. Yan Song told Yun Ya, "I’ll get it," as he walked over to open it.
Ah Yun stood at the doorway, smiling at Yan Song, "Young Master Yan."
Then she looked up at Yun Ya, "Miss, Mingyue and I are just next door. Call us if you need anything."
"Okay." Yun Ya smiled and nodded.
